they're married / they haven't spoken in 15 years: so hunts the shrike. yeah both

they're divorced: i have not braved this one yet (divorce was exceedingly rare and public in the 1720s!) but consider the batshit roman divorce au i have not written where they are, indeed, divorced. and also in ancient rome

they're pining, it's unrequited / it's requited: steadfast & dependable, the dance we dance, and in the cool shade for a hat trick

they're star-crossed / they're meant to be: to the ends of the earth

they're doomed by the narrative: a heavy burden

they love each other / they've never held hands: domestic virtues

they won't stop making out at parties: the entire premise of both ever punctual and take your pleasure tbh

I just couldn’t resist drawing another piece of fan art inspired by @frenchublog 's character design. In their latest post, you can see full-length shots of James and Elizabeth, but I haven’t updated their outfits because the sketch is from two days ago and I’m feeling a bit lazy. 😭 Maybe it’ll be an excuse to draw them a third time 

I wanted to pay tribute to the stunning design of James and Elizabeth by @frenchublog I MEAN, isn’t it just gorgeous? Disney should make it official
