               that was it. that was the final straw. disgust spread all over his face in a dramatic flair the minute he felt the quincy’s hands upon him —- as if it hadn’t been bad enough that his ears had been deafened by the sound of the man’s obnoxious calling, that he had been breathed on in such close vicinity by this … abomination. the minute yumichika was snatched from the safety of the ground, he screamed in his shock, and at the surprise of being shaken as if he were some rag doll. he didn’t know whether to be angry or terrified, but nevertheless, his expression was filled to the brim with disdain as it swam within the depths of his eyes, spilling out as his lips curled into a sneer. ‘ put me down, you ogre! do you have any manners? get your hands off of me! ’

               in his curiously critical gaze, he was practically hovering over her ---- perhaps too close for her comfort. ‘ is that so..? huh. i almost don’t believe you. there’s no way anyone’s skin is naturally that good without an extensive skin care routine. maybe less is more. what do you use, then? ’ everyone’s skin was different, but there was a chance that this could become a simpler and less time consuming routine for him. it would certainly save his ears from ikkaku yelling at him to hurry.

               be still —- be absolutely still. his already inaudible breathing began to slow, although now he couldn’t help but to forcibly hold his breath as the quincy hovered around him in an inspection that was far too close for comfort. surely, it was a violation of his own space, but yumichika wasn’t about to lash out, as much as he would have loved to. still and beautiful as a statue of marble, he stood lifeless and in perfection. he was not going to budge. it was growing difficult, with the man now yelling in his ear, but he had to be strong!

               he should have known it would have been a mistake, deigning to even look at the other’s way. the minute yumichika’s eyes landed upon this so - called hero, he squeezed them shut with no indication that they would ever be pried open for the rest of his life ever again —- an immediate cringe. how ugly, how repulsive! if he closed his eyes and pretended not to hear anything, maybe that … person ( he looked like a subpar western image of a wrestler for a circus ) would go away! no, not acknowledging him was the best idea that would produce the best outcome. where was ikkaku to help?!

               all he could do was return a blank stare in kind. problems? he has done no such thing! his eyes swept nonchalantly over to the captain and he cleared his throat. ‘ with all due respect, kuchiki - taichō, i don’t know what you’re talking about. problems? i don’t know what’s going on, but i have nothing to do with anything! ’
