Hi everyone! As I mentioned in my earlier post about NateJoWeek 2026 which includes general rules and prompts, here is the post with more specifics on the different daily challenges (with prizes!)

Day 1: Moodboards

If you’re wondering why you would do this & “it’s fun!” isn’t good enough, there’s also a prize!

Prize: Create the best moodboard (as chosen by Tumblr poll) by the end of NateJo Week 2026 (Sept 7 11:59 Pacific Time) and get a fic of at least 5k words from bruinss (@droumack) on a prompt of your choosing.

Entries must be submitted using the tag #NateJoWeek2026 and contain at least 3 photos of Nate and/or Jo.

Tip: Never made a moodboard before? Canva has free templates!

Day 2: WIP Wednesday

Make a post discussing or teasing a NateJo WIP using the tag #NateJoWeek2026 or update a NateJo WIP on AO3 by 11:59 Pacific Time Sept 2, 2026. Winner is randomly selected from the entries.

Prize: A fic of at least 1k words written by early_birdd (@niche-n0thingness) on a prompt of your choosing.

Day 3: Drawing

Draw Nate and/or Jo! Don’t worry, you don’t need to be good at art because the winner will be picked randomly to encourage more participation!

Prize: A fic of 5k-10k words written by Schmub (@schmubin-around) on a prompt of your choosing.

Entries must be submitted using the tag #NateJoWeek2026 by the end of the week (Sept 7 11:59 Pacific Time) and contain at least a pencil sketch on non-lined paper to be considered an entry. Other art mediums are also OK!

Day 4: Fic Rec Friday

Recommend a NateJo fic on Tumblr using the #NateJoWeek2026 tag. The person with the most reblogged recs list by the end of the week (Sept 7 11:59 Pacific Time) wins.

Prize: Fan art done by @wannabewachter for a prompt of your choosing.

Day 5: NateJo Word Search

If you’re wondering why you would do this & “it’s fun!” isn’t good enough, there’s also a prize!

Prize: First to post their completed word search with the #NateJoWeek2026 tag gets fan art done by me (@magicianbarbie) for whatever HRPF pairing you prefer.

(The actual wordsearch will be posted at the beginning of NateJo week just so no one is posting the answers before NateJo week starts.)

Day 6: Gif Making

Make an original GIF of NateJo. The winner will be picked randomly from the entries to encourage more participation! /or it could be bruinss’ favorite

Prize: A fic of at least 5k words written by bruinss (@droumack) on a prompt of your choosing.

Entries must be submitted using the tag #NateJoWeek2026 and be a gif you created yourself featuring both Nate and Jo.

Day 7: Comment Bingo

Get bingo by leaving at least 5 new comments on fics where NateJo is the primary pairing. Send proof to @plethoriall via Tumblr Ask.

Prize: A fic of at least 2k words written by @plethoriall on a prompt of your choosing.

You can comment on a work you've commented on before, but try and find ones you've not left a comment on.

Training camp? Who needs that

Oddly enough we don't have much actually written, just the first chapter, most of it is snips and ideas. We have been working on a gift fic, and I'm trying desperately to finish No Such Luck, because I want to get back to a regular post schedule.

Here is a snip from the first chapter (thank you a billion @wannabewachter for your amazing writing skills. I'm so excited to keep this going!!!!!)

When does this event take place?

NateJo Week runs from Sept 1, 2026 (Nate’s birthday!) to Sept 7, 2026.

How does this work?

A pair of prompts is chosen every day. Feel free to pick and choose, combine, or go with an alternate prompt. You can participate all seven days or just on the days you feel like it.

How can I participate?

Prompts

You can participate by creating whatever you’re inspired to based on the prompts: fanart, fanfic, poetry, crafts, moodboards, ship playlists, or headcanon posts. The only stipulation is the work should primarily focus on Nate and Jo. (And archive lock your fics if you post on AO3!) Otherwise, there are no restrictions.

Post to the AO3 collection NateJoWeek2026, which will open at the beginning of NateJo Week, or use the Tumblr Tag #NateJoWeek2026 so we can reblog and see your work!

Daily Challenges

You can also participate by doing the daily challenges (which have prizes!) More specific info on them + specific prizes coming in a separate post. Daily challenge entries must be during NateJo week to be considered for a prize.

What if I want to make work for a threesome or moresome pairing including Nate and Jo, like SidNateJo or MikkoNateJo?

That’s totally fine + welcomed in this event! The only thing we ask you to avoid is fics that are not in the spirit of the event, such as fics with an explicitly unhappy ending for NateJo in favor of another endgame pairing.

What HRPF pairings can I request if I win a prize from completing a daily challenge?

Players accused of a credible crime can’t be requested. Further, each author/artist can have their own lines about what they’re willing to make.

Almost entirely done with my computer screen in greyscale. Very much enjoy the colors that came out of that + it makes shading way easier!

Bonus: Jo's an earlier draft of Jo's horrific goblin hand, which was one of the hardest things for me to do and I still don't totally love:

I love the concept of Jo being the more powerful one but Nate still being in charge. Like Jo could be a ‘scary’ werewolf and Nate would still go “aww, you growl at me one more time and I’m buying a leash and a muzzle”.

Like every natejo fic includes a large amount of power exchange and I just think that like Jo being supernatural but still submitting to human!Nate would be like the ultimate form. Especially if Nate acts like there is no possible chance that Jo could best him.
