Everlasting Hope.

Exhausted, tattered, beaten.

The lengths you go for some people, right?

The endless cycle of searching for that feeling of being wanted.

The risk doesn't matter.

Nor does the danger, as long as we feel wanted.

You frighten me, as you challenge these thoughts.

I feel wanted without the toxicity holding me down.

Though, that toxicity still lingers, there are habits still yet to be unlearned.

What happens when you've had enough...

What happens when I've lost control, and in so, lost all of the right words

To say.

What if you decide, I've simmered in this toxic aura for far too long.

What if my struggle, burdens you

Too much.

These fears fuel me, but don't define me.

I may overthink, but not without reason.

I'm both a blessing and a curse.

The words you speak, are not the same as those I hear.

A misconception that comes from this threadbare mind.

When spoken, you wear a mask.

Unwillingly.

Unbeknownst to you.

The fault is not yours, but you bear the guilt all the same.

My adoration stems from sincerity.

Your eyes are only set on me.

Even when my doubts are unprovoked, I can still feel that warmth.

You allow me to feel.

Be myself, someone I never thought I'd meet again.

Hearing my own laughter, may be alien to me, but never unwelcomed.

Though I may not love myself yet.

I'll always look back.
