Fat Horse No. 30

It’s the year of the horse and I’ve always been a horse girl at heart, so I’m finally taking advantage of the excuse to fill the world with fat little horses! These felted friends are about the size (and shape!) of an apple, and if you happen to have any apples to share I’m sure they’d help you out! When I rode as a kid my favorite horse at the barn was a gorgeous blood bay named Windcheater, so in my mind that rich reddish bay = extra fast.

This piece will be part of a herd of fat horses at Furrydelphia, August 7-9th!

It’s the year of the horse and I’ve always been a horse girl at heart, so I’m finally taking advantage of the excuse to fill the world with fat little horses! These felted friends are about the size (and shape!) of an apple, and if you happen to have any apples to share I’m sure they’d help you out! Another big stompy Irish cob here - not only does the extra long mane and tail and feathering give the impression of a draft, this one actually is bigger than the rest!

It’s the year of the horse and I’ve always been a horse girl at heart, so I’m finally taking advantage of the excuse to fill the world with fat little horses! These felted friends are about the size (and shape!) of an apple, and if you happen to have any apples to share I’m sure they’d help you out! This horse was inspired by Ronny, a gorgeous 18 hand Belgian draft who visited Anthrocon this year with the charity. He was an absolute delight, and there’s nothing quite like seeing an actual horse walking out of the den at the end of the day!
