   HE MAY NOT have been in touch with his emotions like the other but he understood when Vax was trying to push him away. But the half elf had never anticipated just how stubborn the cleric could be. Arms crossed over his chest as his eyes narrowed into a glare.  “ Fuck you too, asshole. ” He wouldn’t let the other slip into a pity party when there was no need for it.  “ There’s a whole bunch of assholes out there that count on you. Don’t do this. Don’t close yourself off from them. ” Kashaw could understand if he pushed Kash aside, he was fine with it. He knew how to be alone but the others, they needed Vax.
He doesn’t know how to talk about this, about the sound of feathers in his ears or the way he swallows blood just to talk to his patron. So he lashes out. So he isolates himself. So he does all the things he knows he shouldn’t, all the bad habits he’d been so close to unlearning, all the pain he’d been so close to overcoming and it all feels like it’s returned. He scoffs at that. “They’ll be just fine, they have each other.” He turns away from the cleric, needing to hide his face for a moment. “And you don’t count yourself as needing me?” Maybe that’s a selfish thing to ask but he’s feeling selfish.Â
