"liking volo is just a phase, you'll grow out of it" no. you don't understand. i am him. and he is me. I've loved him since legends arceus released. i block literally every person that slanders him because I genuinely freak out too much when someone hates on him. I FREAK OUT when someone even SLIGHTLY references him. I BUY THINGS BASED OFF THIS MAN (ex. togekiss plushie I have, I only bought it because of his togekiss).

even if i were to like a character more, he'll still always be lurking in my mind. I don't know how.

listening to music all day and having nothing to do at all the whole day is probably a big factor, but getting an inspiration to get better at art or just a reason to draw could also help

EVEN BETTER if it's a petty reason (ex. my last post). I LIVE for pettiness.

usually I just find someone I HATE that does art and make it my life's goal to be better and more popular than them IN EVERY. WAY. POSSIBLE. HATRED. and. SPITE. fuels my motivation.

+ I dont spend much time making my art. I get ideas pretty quickly and don't spend over 4 hours on my art because. I'm too impatient

also it just pisses me off that some of my favorite characters don't have enough fan art for me to consume so I just make my own art of them as a service to the 2 other people who like the same characters I do cough cough klarion and aklove

"whats your art motivation?" to beat that one homophobic teen i met on vacation that harassed me for being gay at art in every way just to rub it in their face that I'm better at them at art. is it mean? yes. is it effective? ABSOLUTELY. do I care that it could be mean? NO.
