Yuji Itadori x Fem!Reader
A/N: I really had to jack with the timeline of JJK itself so bear with me. I had to make them get older so I tried to spread some of the events out across a couple of years. I lowkey changed Ozawa’s whole thing so like, yeah. I also skipped over all deaths and “crazy” events that happen in both the Anime and the Manga so there are no spoilers. I mention a fight with Sukuna but I give nothing away so don’t worry. (Also yes, it’s probably unrealistic that people wait as long as Yuji and Reader did to do the deed but I THOUGHT IT WAS WHOLESOME OKAY?)
Warnings: 18+ SMUT (toward the end), MDNI!, p in v, unprotected love making (don’t do that), virginity loss, (the 18+ is aged up!Yuji) bullying, angst(ish), jealousy, not proofread uhhhhh… I think that’s it?

First Day of Kindergarten
“Hi! I’m Yuji Itadori!” A loud voice came from beside me. My hands unintentionally curled tighter around the straps of my backpack. I looked over and saw what could’ve been the embodiment of the sun itself. Bright smile, happy eyes, and disheveled pink hair. It clashed with the bright orange shirt he was wearing, making me nearly squint.
“H-Hi.” I muttered. The pace of my heartbeat slowed knowing that there was someone who saw me. It was busy in the schools auditorium. He could’ve picked anyone to approach. But instead he came to me. That was something that I carried with me through the rest of that school year. I told him my name and his right hand shot out between our bodies.
“It’s nice to meet you!” He said happily. I reached out and took his hand. I felt something pass between the grab of our little hands. Something that told me that he was going to be around for a good long while.
First Playground Injury : 2010, First Grade
I watched as Yuji passed through the monkey bars for the sixth time. His palms were already rosey with callouses. His cheeks were red and puffed with determination. But I could tell his strength was beginning to fail him.
“Yuji! Please be careful up there!” I squealed, watching as he almost missed the next bar.
“Don’t worry! I’ll be fi-AH!” He yelled, his hands finally slipping from the metal and falling to the ground. I yelped in fear, rushing over to him. He was curled into a ball, the hood of his hoodie half way over his head from the impact.
“Yuji! Yuji, are you okay?” My little voice shaking with fear. He finally uncurled himself, looking down at his hands.
“Cool! I’m bleeding!” He showed me his palms, skin littered in mulch and blood. Then I looked at his face, a steady stream of blood coming from his nose and his eyes brimmed with tears.
“We have to get you to the nurse’s office!” I told him, wrapping my hand around his wrist and dragging him to the teacher. She tried to take him, but Yuji kept asking if I could come too. Finally, our teacher gave in and told me to come along. Yuji clapped and then winced, remembering his injuries.
The nurse gave us both lollipops as she worked to fix him up. My feet swung lazily over the side of the table as I watched her clean the mulch from his hands and knees. Yuji just suckled on the little candy as if nothing had ever happened. I guess I would have to keep a closer eye on him.
First Bullying Incident ; 2013, Fifth Grade
I was sitting at my desk, trying so hard to focus on the teachers handwriting. But I just couldn’t. The girls’ voices behind me were just too loud in my ears.
‘She always wears that shirt.’
‘Why does her hair part that way?’
‘Her perfume smells weird.’
Things that I never even thought about until those girls. I knew they were talking about me. Who else? The bell finally rang and I quickly shoved everything into my back and beelined for the bathroom. I made it. I’ll just wait until that… Then I heard my name. Taunting. Like they were trying to lure me out.
“Why do you always wear that shirt?” One of the girls said.
“Did your mommy make it for you or something?”
“Wait, maybe that’s why she smells weird. It’s the fact that she never washes it!” They broke into a fit of high pitched laughter. I backed myself into the corner of the stall I was in, realizing I didn’t lock the door. In my haste to just hide, I didn’t lock it. My heart began to thump loudly in my ears.
“We could always make sure you don’t wear it again.” The main girl said, her hand slowly pushing the stall door open. I swallowed, tears finally spilling from my eyes.
“Please don’t. I-I won’t wear it again just, please leave me alone.” I said, choking back my sobs. She just snickered and lunged at me, her hand grabbing a fistful of my shirt. I struggled to get away from her, a scream or two slipping past my lips. I finally kicked her in the leg hard enough that she fell back, ripping my shirt a little in the front.
I cried and cried, running past the other two girls and out of the bathroom. The fabric of my shirt fell open and I was quick to grab it, holding it against my chest. I looked around the sea of people in the hall looking for my best friend. Then I saw his hair, pink and tousled as it always was.
“Yuji!” I yelled, running over toward him. He saw me, his eyes happy at first. Then he saw I was crying and his face distorted into one of confusion. I ran and stood behind his back, forehead falling into the fabric of his backpack.
“Whoa! You’re crying! What happened?” He asked, looking over his shoulder as not to move me.
“Hide me.” I muttered, still trying to catch my breath, tears still streaming down my cheeks. He stepped backward, pressing my back into the cubbies against the wall. Once the bustle of the hallway quieted down and the late bell rang, Yuji moved, turning to face me.
I explained the situation to him, telling him about the girls and showing him how they’d ripped my shirt. His eyes went wide and he grabbed me on either sides of my arms.
First Hug ; Continuation of First Bullying Incident
Then, he hugged me. Actually hugged me. His arms were tight around my trembling body. He was comforting.
“Can your mom fix your shirt?” He asked, pulling back from me. I stared at him. The idea of hugging a boy was so foreign to me. Something my dad always had something to say about.
“You don’t need to be huggin’ boys.” He would say. But this didn’t feel like anything was wrong at all.
“She might be able too.” I answered. Yuji stepped past me and reached into his cubby, grabbing a light blue hoodie that I’d been telling him to bring home for the last three days. Now, I was thankful he didn’t.
“You can wear this for the rest of the day. So you don’t have to keep holding that up.” He gestured to my hand resting against the torn fabric.
“Thank you, Yuji.” I said softly, walking away from his cubby a bit to pull it on.
“Are you gonna be okay?” He asked. I thought for a minute, tears brimming my eyes again.
“W-will you just come wait outside of my classrooms for me?” I asked, sniffing slightly. He nodded frantically, adjusting his bag on his back.
“Yeah, for sure!” He said. “We’d better go before someone comes looking for us.” He reminded carefully.
First Movie Together ; 2014, Two Days After Yuji’s 11th Birthday
The movie theater felt so big. The ceiling had big white stars painted on the tiles. The air smelled like popcorn and candy. Yuji was practically skipping to the counter, which made sense since this was his happy place.
“What are we seeing again, Yuji?” His grandfather asked from behind us. Yuji was too focused on the menu boards ahead of him. I smiled and turned to face his grandfather.
“I think he said the Muppets one.” I answered politely. His Grandfather’s face softened.
“Thank you sweetie. Can’t ever get that boy to listen.” He griped. I smiled and looked back at Yuji who was half drooling in front of the candy rack. When I approached him, he held a bag of candy out to me.
“Here. I know you want these ones.” He said robotically, eyes still scanning the candies. I took the bag from him, reading over the very familiar label. They were indeed my favorite. I smiled and tried my best to help him pick one out of the three options he gave me.
“Itadori, now please!” His grandfather called from the counter. Yuji panicked and grabbed one, running over to his grandfather with me close on his heel. The cashier smiled down at the two of us, scanning our bags and handing them back.
We thanked his Grandpa and ran hand in hand to the theater the ticket holder told us to go to.
“I always pretend I’m a spy when I’m in here.” Yuji said, letting go of my hand and pressing his back to a nearby wall.
“Why?” I asked, stopping beside him and mirroring his actions.
“Cause there’s so many halls and corners.” He peeked around the wall and then did an absolutely terrible cartwheel over to the next corner. “It’s fun!” I laughed, and ran over to him with quiet steps, playing along with his little game. His Grandpa just shook his head, following us down the middle of the hall.
“Grandpa, they’re gonna get you!” Yuji cried, jumping in front of him and holding up a finger gun. His Grandpa just grabbed his head and moved him out of his way.
“I’d like to see them try, boy.” He growled, turning into our theater. Yuji calmed down, lowering his voice to a whisper when we got into the dimly lit room. We sat beside one another, leaning over to share the popcorn that his Grandpa had bought and talk about the silliest characters. Coming to the movies was something that we would end up doing quite often.
First Time Showing Up ; 2016, My First Volleyball Game, 7th Grade
I was nervous. REALLY nervous. My parents were in the stands, along with Grandparents and other people that my Mom swore were family. We were warming up, my eyes glancing over to the door every once in a while. My dad said he called the Itadori household, telling me quote, ‘he said he would be there right as it starts’.
I guess really I shouldn’t be worried. Yuji had proved to be a boy of his word. His Grandpa even more so. But the nerves of it being my first ever game were doing everything but keeping my mind clear.
We went into serving, the clock on the scoreboard taunting me in such evil ways. My cheeks were red. My hands were shaky. But my serves were making it over the net so I guess it would be okay after all. Just as the teams huddled up, the gym doors opened again and I saw Yuji step in, a poster board in his hand.
The blood in my body rushed to my face. I was almost afraid of what antics he might try and pull. He talked to the lady at the front for a moment, looking at the stands where she was pointing.
I looked over too, seeing my whole family waving frantically at him. Yuji returned the energy, thanking the woman at the front and jogging over to them. I tried to refocus my attention on my coach. But I couldn’t hear a word she was saying. My eyes trailed over to the stands again, already seeing Yuji looking at me, along with my parents.
He held up the sign, smile big enough to stretch across his whole face.
In giant letters. Along with some scattered, ‘Good Luck!’ And ‘You Can Do It!’ All around it. I couldn’t help but smile. The tension in my stomach seemed to ease all together and suddenly I was ready to play. Hard.
First Death in the Family ; June 2018
It was nearing 4:30pm after practice. The sun was setting, casting a soft orange glow on the floorboards of the gym. I was helping my team wipe down the volleyballs when my coach tapped me on the shoulder.
“You have a phone call in the office.” She said. She sounded a bit more monotoned than she usually did. I grew worried. Who would’ve known that I was still here other than my parents and… Yuji. Something clicked in that moment.
Normally on practice days, Yuji would meet me at the little ramen shop around the corner after he would visit his Grandpa at the hospital. But my stomach sank. His Grandpa. My feet began to move faster. I struggled to put my volleyball jacket over my shoulders as I rushed to the office.
Ms. Jackie, our front desk lady, looked up at me with sad eyes.
“No.” I whispered. She handed me the phone and I took it, nearly dropping it from how shaky I was.
“He’s gone.” His voice sounded strained. Like he’d been crying and was trying not to keep crying. I began to cry too. Feeling his pain through the phone.
“I’m coming. Hold on.” I said and handed the phone back to Ms. Jackie. I ran back to the gym, grabbing all of my things quickly and then I took off without another word.
Once I got to the hospital, the air shifted. I felt sick. My best friend was hurting and I needed to be there. My chest felt heavy. Like something was changing. Not just in me. But in him too.
I approached the receptionist and asked where I could find Itadori. She gave me a sad look and began to point in the direction of the elevators. But when I looked that way, there was Yuji. Hands tucked in his yellow hoodie pocket, eyes glistening with tears. I gave the woman a half hearted ‘nevermind’ and ‘thanks’ and jogged over to him.
“Yu?” I asked quietly. He just stared at the floor, body absentmindedly leaning toward mine. I grabbed his arm gently and pulled him into a quiet corner of the waiting room. As soon as the air around us stilled, I stepped forward and wrapped my arms around him, his broad shoulders beginning to shake in my hold.
He dropped his head onto my shoulder, crying quietly into my jacket. I just held him, hands rubbing the expanse of his back.
“What am I supposed to do now?” He asked, his voice cracking with every word. Only then did his hands leave his hoodie pocket and wrap around me in return. He was heavy. Heavier than usual. He nuzzled his face into the side of my neck, making me shiver slightly. He began to sink to the floor, pulling me down with him.
I let go just long enough to sit on my knees, letting Yuji curl up and rest his head on my thighs. I swallowed, staring down at him as he held the front of his hoodie over his mouth, soaking the fabric with more tears.
I let my left hand tangle into his hair, while my right rubbed the outside of his arm. We stayed like that for a while, crying and trying to catch our breath. A nurse eventually found us, asking him to sign some paperwork.
“Do you want me to come with you?” I asked, taking his hand as he helped me stand up. His eyes found mine and he shook his head.
“It’s okay. After this I’ll come find you if that’s okay.” He said, his hand reaching out to mess with the bottom corner of my jacket.
“Yeah, always. I’ll let my parents know.” I replied. We stood there for a few moments longer, his thumb toying with the zipper on my jacket.
“Thank you for coming.” He muttered, holding his arms open for me. I stepped into his hold, arms wrapping around his upper back.
“Always, Yu.” I said, pressing my chin into the fabric of his hoodie. I could feel the press of his nose on my shoulder. He squeezed me gently just before letting go and telling me to be carful on my way home.
I got back to my house and told my parents what had happened and to keep an ear out for Yuji. But the whole night went on, and he never came.
First Time Being Apart This Long ; June 2018
“Wait. You ate. A finger.” I said, lying back against the roof tiles. Yuji’s elbow was right beside my eye. He was already lying back, hands underneath his head.
“Because why again?” I asked, glancing over at him.
“It had the cursed energy I needed to kill this curse that we were fighting.” He said it like it was the most normal thing in the world.
“But in turn you are now carrying something they call the King of Curses.” I reiterated. Yuji nodded.
“Yep.” He said again. It honestly sounded like he couldn’t believe it himself.
“And that’s why you didn’t make it to my house that night?” I said.
“Exactly.” He said, looking over at me. We just stared at each other. Silent disbelief and questions passing between us.
“And now you’re leaving.” I said, my voice breaking slightly. The word hurt to even say.
“Honestly, I wish I didn’t have to. But I think it’s what’s best. Gojo-Sensei says he can help.” Yuji explained.
“Oh yeah, by feeding you more fingers right?” I said with fake excitement. Yuji sat up and stared down at me, pulling his knees to his chest. “Yu, please don’t go.” He sighed, resting his chin on the tops of his knees.
I sat up too, biting my nails nervously.
“Don’t bite your nails. I thought you were trying to grow them out.” Yuji said softly, elbowing my arm.
“You’re right.” I said sadly, tucking my hands under my knees and mirroring his position.
“Maybe I could ask Sensei if you can come too?” He suggested, looking out over the skyline.
“Do I have to eat a finger?” I asked. Yuji chuckled.
“I mean, even if you did, you’ve already got the nail part down pat.” He teased.
“Yuji! Ew!” I squealed, smacking his arm playfully. Once we settled, our gazes fell back on the skyline. Without thinking much, I leaned over, head falling onto his right shoulder. He adjusted, making sure that I was comfortable. Just as he always did.
“Don’t go.” I whispered again, tears brimming my eyes.
“Come with me.” He countered, laying his head on top of mine. Silence fell between us again.
First Time Seeing Each Other in Two Months : August 2018
I waited outside the schools’ gate anxiously, checking my phone every couple of minutes. The phone that my parents bought me because of Yuji’s departure. It only took them about three weeks of my nonstop crying about how much I missed him and how awkward I felt having to call the front office of his new school just to speak to him.
I had three contacts in the little device. Dad, Mom, and Yuji. I adjusted the duffle bag straps on my shoulder, hissing at the burn it was creating. I didn’t think I brought that much. Finally, I saw Yuji running toward the gate. He looked exactly like he did on the first day of kindergarten. Bright and happy to see me. My heart fluttered at the sight of him.
Had he gotten taller? No. Maybe it was just the uniform. Red looks good on him. Wait, I knew that. Hang on… was he this muscular before he left?
My mind was racing as he opened the gate, slipping through it sideways before it had even fully opened. He scooped me up, pinning my arms at my sides as he spun me around.
“I’ve missed you like crazy!” He exclaimed, putting me back down on the ground. He slipped his hands under my arms, resting them on my upper back in a proper hug. His face was buried in my neck, breathing heavily.
“Oh, you smell so good.” He muttered, nuzzling deeper into my shirt. I giggled, tightening my hold around his shoulders.
“It’s so good to see you, Yuji.” I breathed, watching as he stood to his full height again. “What is this that you’re wearing?” I said teasingly. He rubbed the back of his neck.
“Uh, the uniform? Sensei put in a special request for the hood though. Pretty cool right?” He asked, spinning in a circle and doing goofy poses. I snickered.
“Yes, very slick.” I answered, nudging his arm with my fist. There was definitely a muscle there that wasn’t there before. I felt my stomach turn. To which I just brushed off as home sickness.
First Sleepover at His : Continuation of First Time Seeing Each Other in Two Months : August 2018
Hours had passed and the sun had long since set. His Sensei, Gojo, was very eccentric. He wanted to know everything about me and kept asking what about Yuji had made me stay friends with him for so long.
I would always laugh and tell him I wasn’t sure. Just that I felt some kind of special connection when he shook my hand the first time we met. What was weird though was that it seemed like Yuji was being kept away from something. Or someone.
After some pleading with Gojo for me to stay in Yuji’s room, we were in our pajamas, talking non-stop as quietly as our excitement would allow. We sat cross legged in front of each other on his bed, cup noodles in hand.
“No way!” I exclaimed. “And then it just exploded?” Yuji nodded frantically, noodles hanging from his mouth. He slurped them up and chewed enough to keep talking.
“Yeah! It bled purple too. Isn’t that weird?” He told me, dropping his chopsticks into the now empty cup in his hand.
“Disgusting.” I replied, taking another bite. Yuji laughed and shook his head, seemingly searching his mind for the next crazy story to tell me.
“Oh yeah! Did I tell you I died in June?” He asked. I coughed, nearly choking on the mouth full of noodles I had. I stared at him wide eyed, swallowing a little too loudly.
“Yuji.” I said simply. “That’s not funny.” I set my cup down and shifted to sit on my knees.
“It wasn’t a joke.” He told me, his voice a little lower now. “No one but you, Gojo-Sensei, Ijichi and Nanamin know that I’m alive.” I just kept staring. I didn’t know who the other two were, but now it makes sense as to why it felt like we were sneaking around the school.
“Is that why we’re sleeping down here?” I asked, pointing to the ground.
“Yep. My friends Nobara and Megumi don’t even know I’m alive.” He admitted. My eyes dried out from the intensity of my stare. Yuji just held my gaze, looking way too proud of himself.
“What happened?” I asked. He stretched his arms above his head and took a deep breath.
“The three of us went into a Juvenile Detention Center to fight this curse. But then it turned out the curse was a higher grade than we thought, so I told Megumi to go find Nobara cause we’d lost her. Then once they were out, Sukuna took over my body and then I couldn’t get it back but then I think he exorcised the other curse and then went out to fight Megumi and ripped my heart out in the process so when I did finally switch back I died because I didn’t have a heart and then I think I must’ve made some weird deal with Sukuna because after that I came back to life!” He wheezed out the last sentence, having said the whole thing in one breath.
My mouth hung open, breath catching at the back of my throat.
“HE RIPPED. YOUR HEART OUT?!” I shouted. Yuji held his hands out defensively, pulling one back to press a finger to his lips.
“Shh! Not so loud!” He whisper-yelled.
“YUJI ITADORI!” I cried, reaching out and shoving his left shoulder. “You died and thought that telling me two months later was the way to go about it?!” He shrugged.
“Not one of those things you can say over text.” He said casually. My mouth fell open again, offended by how calm he was. I ran my hands over my face, tears threatening to fall. “You are…” I trailed off, peeking through the gaps in my fingers at him.
“My best friend.” I finally said. Those three words landed heavily in the space between us. I was going to say frustrating. Or maybe impossible. But those words slipped out instead. Like I was reminding us of the bond that we had. That the story he just told wasn’t one to be taken lightly.
Yuji stared at me, eyes and jaw softening. Then he laid back, head hitting the pillow with a soft thump.
“It was actually really scary.” He admitted. My chest relaxed. Finally, a legitimate response. “I thought about you.” My chest tightened again almost immediately. I watched him, his hands slipping under the pillow and lifting it to cover his face. Silence.
Suddenly, the pillow hit me square in the face, making me screech.
“ENOUGH SERIOUSNESS!” He yelled, armed with another pillow and hitting me right in the side. I laughed, grabbing the pillow he’d thrown at me before and swinging it to hit him back.
After we’d tired ourselves out, I was curled under the blanket on his bed while he slept on a mattress on the floor. He was knocked out, lying on his stomach, head turned toward me and resting on his hands.
I watched him, breathing in the scent of his pillow under me. He’d died. I almost lost him. That broke something in me. Made me think of him in a whole new light. Trying to imagine a life without him was something I just couldn’t do.
Yuji started to snore, drool streaming down his cheek and pooling on the sheets below.
“Ew.” I whispered and turned away from him, sleep taking over my own body.
First Pang of Jealousy : May 2019
It was nice to know that Yuji’s friends liked me. Even if they did seem a little distant. Sometimes I thought it was because they were still mad about Yuji’s death being a hoax. I was walking around with Nobara because while I was visiting Yuji, he got called onto a mission.
Our conversations were short and awkward at first. But when I agreed that she could be a famous fashion model, she acted as though we’d known each other for years. We were walking out of one of the boutiques when a woman’s voice came from behind us.
“Excuse me?” She asked. Nobara and I turned in sync, looking at the woman with a confused look. I knew who it was right away, although her appearance had changed dramatically.
“Ozawa?” I asked, my heart skipping in my chest. Oh no. That can’t be anything good. She nodded and bowed once, then twice.
“Yes! Um, you know Itadori don’t you?” She asked. I froze. I knew what her intention was. But I was just Yuji’s best friend. Why couldn’t I answer?
“We both do.” Nobara chimed in. “What’s he to you?” I loved that Kugisaki interrogates. I especially loved it right now.
“He’s… He’s just an old classmate of mine.” She said. At this point, I wanted to melt into the ground. I remembered how silly I thought she was for feeling the way she did about him.
‘He’s just a boy.’ I said to myself. I was the one that took the photo of the two of them for her on the last day of eighth grade. But he is just a boy. Who is my best friend. Has been my best friend for years. So why do I feel this way?
“What do you want with him?” Nobara continued, body now fully facing Ozawa. She stared at Kugisaki, almost embarrassed she’d even said anything. I slunk back, feeling smaller and smaller with every thought that crossed my mind.
“Just to reconnect. I saw the two of you walking around here last week on my way to work. But I was too scared to say anything in the moment.” She explained. My stomach was churning. I felt cold even in the heat of the sun. Nobara kept asking questions, but I couldn’t hear her anymore. Just the muffled sounds of the city.
We ended up at a cafe, Nobara and I sitting across from Ozawa. They kept talking about Yuji and how Ozawa felt about him. She still felt the same way. I felt sick. I tapped Nobara on the shoulder, asking for her to move so I could go to the restroom.
I stood on shaky legs, wrapping my arms around my stomach. As soon as I’d made it into a stall, I leaned against the wall and took ragged breaths.
“Get a grip!” I whispered to myself. “He’s just your best friend? Why is this so frustrating?” I was talking out loud. Who else was I supposed to talk to about these feelings? “She got so pretty too.” I began to feel tears burning my eyes. Why was I feeling like this?
My breath was stuck in my throat. Did I have feelings for Yuji? No. I can’t. That would totally ruin everything between us. I unlocked the stall and moved to the sink, splashing cold water on my face. The sting made the building tears finally roll down my cheeks, which I was quick to wash away with another cool splash.
I dried my hands and face, then walked out, seeing Megumi at our table now. I heard them talking in almost whispers about “Yuji” and “type”. I stopped a few steps away, hiding behind one of the nearby booths.
“I think he mentioned liking tall girls.” Megumi sighed, sounding disgusted at his own words. My heart shattered in my chest. I could feel the pieces trickling down into my stomach. I wasn’t tall. Yuji was at least eight inches taller than me. Ozawa had grown into a tree.
“That means you definitely have a chance!” Nobara said, voice heavy with determination. I wanted to vomit. I was nauseous. My head was swimming with thoughts and realizations alike.
But I had to go back to the table. They would wonder where I went and had no way to contact me. I swallowed, blinking back another wave of tears before moving slowly to the table. I felt their eyes on me in an instant as I sat on the outside of the booth.
“You don’t look good.” Nobara deadpanned. I kept my eyes fixed on the table.
“Just hot.” I squeaked, the lie doing nothing to hide the truth. Just then, another person stood at the head of our table.
“Turns out the mission Sensei had for me was to go pick up his dry cl-… Hey, are you okay?” It was Yuji. I looked up, seeing his eyes looking over me. I could’ve cried. All the people at the table and he checked on me first. I needed that more than any of them knew.
“No. I don’t feel very good.” I muttered, Yuji knelt down beside me, placing a hand on my shoulder.
“You guys didn’t want to take her back to the school?” He asked, worry laced in his voice now. Megumi shrugged and Nobara began to stutter out a slew of words.
“Itadori! We were going to, but we thought that you should see-“
“Who are you?” Yuji asked, looking over at Ozawa. The feeling that passed through my body at his question had evil written all over it. I could’ve jumped up and laughed in her face. But I still felt sick. So sick that I wasn’t even sure if it was just jealousy anymore. But he saw her. Just as she was about to respond, he stood again, his hand still on my shoulder.
“Oh! You’re Ozawa.” He pointed out. My face flushed again, the chill running through my body. I hated feeling like this. Unsure. Self conscious. Unaware of my own feelings. She was about to speak again, but Yuji stopped her once more.
“You just got really cold.” He said, looking down at me. I lifted my head, eyes hazy. His brows lifted in surprise. “Okay, come on. You need to lay down or something.” He reached for my hands, pulling me up slowly.
“It was good to see you, Ozawa! You look great!” I could’ve melted into his hold. ‘You look great’ was his go to compliment when he was uncomfortable or distracted.
We walked out of the cafe, Yuji looking over at me tentatively every five seconds. I began to smile weakly.
“What made you uncomfortable?” I asked, my voice straining from being silent for the last forty five minutes.
“Huh?” Yuji said, eyes landing on the side of my face. I met his gaze briefly before wrapping my arms around my stomach again.
“You only say ‘you look great’ to someone when you’re uncomfortable.” I told him. Yuji laughed nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. But then he sighed and shook his head, right arm falling across my shoulders.
“I just wish Kugisaki would stop trying to play Cupid.” He admitted. I stepped closer to him, adjusting to the weight of his arm.
“Meaning?” I asked. Yuji stopped in front of a crosswalk, waiting for the light across from us to turn green.
“I knew Ozawa liked me way back then.” He said, looking both ways down the road. My stomach turned again. “And when Nobara texted me saying that she’d run into her today I just knew Ozawa would say something about it and Kugisaki would get all giddy over it or whatever.” He sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose.
“So,” I started, fearing the answer I might receive. “You wouldn’t want to give her a chance?” I asked. I held my breath. Before he answered though, his arm tightened around me. Whether it was an accident or intentional, I’d never know.
“Nah. I’ve got enough to think about already.” He smiled at that, brushing off the last fifteen minutes with ease.
First Confession : Summer : July 2020
We were at the beach, courtesy of Gojo’s credit card. He’d told the four of us we deserved it. Even though I hadn’t done a damn thing. I was only there because Yuji invited me.
It was unbelievably hot. But it was nothing I wasn’t prepared for. I had drank lots of water last night and this morning, eaten properly and used lots of sunscreen. I may have been sweating, but at least I wasn’t going to…
“Remember that time your parents took us to the beach and you passed out because it was so hot?” Yuji asked, shaking his wet hair above me like a dog. I squealed, sitting up and peeking at him over my sunglasses.
“Yes, Yuji. You remind me every time we go to a beach anywhere.” I told him, using the corner of my towel to dry off the stray drops of water he’d slung on me. “Which is why I now drink like a million gallons of water before hand.” He laughed and plopped down on the sand beside me.
The sun was starting to set. Nobara had left hours ago because she wanted to shop. Megumi had gone back to his and Yuji’s room about an hour ago to shower and take a nap before dinner.
I rolled over, lying on my stomach to let the last little bit of sunlight soak into my back. I laid my face on my hands, pressing my cheek into my knuckles as I watched Yuji dig into the sand like a puppy.
He began to lay every little shell he found on my left arm, lining them up from my wrist all the way to the bend of my elbow.
“If I get a funky tan from these you owe me dinner for the next three nights.” I teased as he laid another shell on the outside of my bicep.
“You’d make it look good though.” He said smoothly. I rolled my eyes.
“Ew.” I said playfully, feeling another shell on my shoulder blade. He kept digging. Silence falling between us as he continued to lay the shells along my upper back, just above my bikini strap.
“You’re pretty.” Yuji suddenly said. My stomach did a flip and I almost shot upward. But somehow, I stayed still, not wanting to ruin his shell placement. He’d said that before. Told me a few times actually. But this felt different. Too intimate. Too real and genuine. Not that the other times were fake. But the way he said it landed like a physical weight on my heart.
“Thank you.” I answered softly, opening my eyes to find his own already on my face. I felt my cheeks grow warm and suddenly I was very aware of how I looked. We just stared. Like the two of us were watching a flip book of the other’s life, remembering what had already been drawn so that we could draw the next page.
I noticed that his chest had stopped moving. Like he was holding his breath for something. I lifted my head just a little, one of the shells slipping down the outside of my arm.
“I like you.” He’d said it so fast I almost missed it. It got so quiet. Like someone had actually paused the ocean. The birds had been told to hush by a higher power. When I looked at him, I saw the little boy in Kindergarten, reaching for my hand. Only this time, he seemed more aware. His hands fisted into the sand below him.
I’d known him long enough to know that he was not being funny. That this was the most real thing he’d ever done. The craziest thing though, was that he looked more terrified now than he ever did facing a Grade 1 curse. Genuine fear.
“Don’t let this change anything. But I’ve never kept secrets from you. So I had to say something.” His voice dropped an octave. His fingers dragged through the sand, twiddling another shell between them before placing it in the center of my back.
I thought about telling him that I felt the same. That I had for a while and just wasn’t sure how to tell him. But something told me that he just needed my quiet acceptance right now. So I stayed quiet, smiling up at him until he registered the look on my face. The way I was looking at him.
He smiled back, letting out a breath that sounded like he’d been holding it for the last five minutes. Then he shook his shoulders and wiggled his hands in front of him.
“Woo! That feels better! Are you hungry? I’m hungry.” Just like that, he was back to his usual self. He stood up, dusting the sand from his trunks and legs before he held his hand out to me.
“But your masterpiece!” I said dramatically, making no moves to stand up.
“The real masterpiece is underneath it.” He said equally as dramatic. I giggled, reaching for his hand and letting the shells fall off slowly.
“Ew. Quit it.” I teased, standing up in front of him. Without warning, Yuji stepped closer and wrapped his arms around me, holding me tightly against his chest. I returned the hug, though slightly confused, my own arms around his neck. He let out a shaky breath.
His skin was warm against mine, making my stomach flutter.
“Thank you.” He whispered, arms loosening. “For everything.” He pulled back, looking down at me with glossy eyes.
“Thank you for everything, Yuji.”
First Kiss : My 18th Birthday : 2021
It had been almost 8 months since the fight with Sukuna. Tokyo was still rebuilding. Quiet talk of curses and sorcerers floated on the air. People were still recovering and stating the ‘what ifs?’. Yet, somehow here I was with the people I cared about most, celebrating my eighteenth birthday.
It wasn’t anything extravagant. Gojo was kind enough to let us use one of the classrooms at the school for the small party. My parents were there, Gojo, Megumi and Nobara, a few sorcerers who I guess were here on behalf of Gojo. Then of course, there was Yuji.
This would be the eleventh birthday party of mine that he’d been to. He still wore that same loving smile he did to every single one.
When he’d walked in and saw the gold and black decor, he frowned slightly and asked why it wasn’t My Little Pony. I smacked his arm, reminding him that it was only a phase from forever ago. To which he quickly helped me remember that my parties’ theme had been My Little Pony three years in a row when we were little. We laughed about it and then he had gone over to talk to my parents.
Now here we were, about two hours in, bellies and hearts equally full. Stories were shared, embarrassing photos shown, games were played. I had such an amazing time. However, the baby pink dress that I had chosen to wear was becoming itchier as the night went on.
Yuji must’ve noticed something was bothering me. He came over, setting his drink down on the corner of one of the tables as he passed by it.
“Okay?” He asked, looking over my face. I smiled up at him, admiring his concern.
“Yeah. My dress is just getting a little itchy.” I told him, running my hands up and down my arms. He looked over my shoulder at my back, noticing something that I couldn’t see. I felt his fingers brush against my skin, tucking the tag of the dress back under the fabric.
“Do you want to change?” He asked, nodding toward the door. I shook my head.
“No. Everyone kind of seems like they’ll be calling it quits in a little bit. So I’ll just wait.” I answered, reaching up to lay the collar of his shirt a little flatter. He nodded, completely used to little touches like this. Even if they did feel electric.
My parents came over at that moment and sighed in unison.
“Well, we’d better get going. Got a bit of a drive ahead of us.” My mom said, reaching out and pulling me into a hug.
“Oh! That’s right! How do you guys like it out there?” Yuji asked, taking my father’s hand in a firm handshake.
“It’s beautiful.” My mom replied, letting go of me and reaching for Yuji.
“And quiet.” My dad added, pulling a small laugh from both Yuji and I. “Happy birthday, honey.” My dad hugged me and then made his way to the door. They gave us one last wave before disappearing down the hall.
After that, everyone else started to trickle away. Megumi, Nobara, Nanami, Gojo, until only Yuji and I were left. I finished stacking the left over cups and Yuji came beside me to set the unused plates down.
“Sleepover?” He asked simply.
“Duh.” I answered. He pumped his fist in the air in victory and I elbowed him gently in the side. We finished gathering all of the other dishes up and left them in one spot to make clean up tomorrow a little easier.
“Did I tell you I finally got a TV?” He asked, keeping his voice low as we passed by other dorm rooms. I looked over at him quickly, a huge smile on my face.
“No?” I replied. He nodded excitedly and wrapped his hand around my wrist, pulling me down the hall carefully. I giggled quietly, stepping lightly as not to wake anyone up. Yuji opened the door to his dorm and stepped inside, looking back at me with a soft smile.
While yes, there was a shiny new TV hanging on the wall, my eyes fell to the pretty little basket sitting at the foot of his bed.
“Yuji.” I whispered, walking closer to it. There was a small bouquet of my favorite flowers, a couple of bags of my favorite candy, some frames that I had told him a month prior I wanted to put my favorite photos of us in, and a pretty navy sweater, folded neatly in the middle.
I was so focused on the neatness of it all that I almost missed the card. I picked it up, feeling Yuji step closer behind me. I read over his sweet words, talking about our childhoods and our friendship and how he couldn’t believe that the two of us were adults now. What stuck out to me was where he said, ‘I can’t wait to navigate adulthood with you.’
It was almost frightening to read. Just as I was about to express those fears, Yuji slipped his arms around my waist, his body slumped to where I could only feel the weight of his arms and his chin on my shoulder. I smiled at the respectful distance of him.
“Happy birthday.” He whispered. I could feel his breath brush over my neck warmly. I closed the card and placed it back down on his bed, turning in his arms to hug him properly.
“Thank you.” I whispered back, arms wrapping around his neck. Something shifted. Normally, his arms would rest around my upper back. But tonight, they stayed tightly wrapped around my middle, his thumbs brushing lightly over my sides.
“Do you remember that day on the beach when you said you like me?” I asked. He nodded, his chin rolling over the muscle on top of my shoulder.
“I like you too.” I whispered the last part, feeling the way the air around us knit into a brand new atmosphere. We had just entered into the next chapter of our relationship. I could feel it in the way he pulled me closer. The way my heartbeat sped up. The feeling of his hair tickling my cheek.
One of his arms lifted from my back, holding up his pinky finger all while keeping his face buried in the crook of my neck.
“You swear?” He asked, his voice muffled by the fabric of my dress. I lifted my hand and hooked my pinky with his, giving it a gentle squeeze.
Yuji stood, hands drifting to the tops of my hips. His hands were shaking. But so were mine atop his shoulders. He stared down at me, eyes darting between my own.
“You’re so pretty.” He whispered, his cheeks turning pink. I smiled, ducking my head under the weight of his gaze.
“Quit that.” I whispered back, voice teasing. My stomach was fluttering. Heart hammering in my chest. His hands squeezed my hips, pulling me an inch closer to him.
His eyes flitted down to my lips for half a second before his head fell forward slightly, testing to see if I would move backward. But I did the opposite, tipping my chin up to him. The corner of his mouth turned up into a smile.
Yuji blinked slowly, leaning forward and touching his nose to mine. He exhaled and closed his eyes, eyebrows furrowed in quiet contemplation.
“What are you thinking?” I asked him, brushing my nose back and forth on his. He huffed a short laugh and opened his eyes, leaning back just enough to look at me.
“That your face is super close and it’s making my heart hurt.” He said, touching his nose to mine again. I let out a soft laugh, weary of the time of night.
“And?” I asked, knowing that there was always something deeper than his silly answers. He took another deep breath, his right hand leaving my hip to cup my jaw.
“And that I really don’t want to mess this up.” His voice was lower now. Before I got a chance to answer, Yuji leaned forward, lips touching mine in a quick peck. I looked up at him with wide eyes, finding his own screwed shut. I began to giggle.
“Yuji, you can open your eyes.” I said playfully. His hands were frozen on my cheek and hip, shoulders squeezed up at the sides of his face like he was bracing for something. “Do you think I’m going to hit you or something?”
His left eye opened, looking around the room before opening his other eye, finally fixing his gaze on me.
“Or something.” He replied. “I thought I was going to explode.” I laughed out loud, hands trailing down from his neck to the front of his chest. His heart was racing under my palm.
“Calm down. You still might with the way your heart is beating.” I teased. His arms wrapped around me, pulling me flush against him again.
“Gotta take you out with me then.” He said, squeezing me until I couldn’t breathe. I squirmed against him, giggling and writhing to no avail. He had me trapped. We stilled again and his grip loosened. I stepped back from him, holding my hands behind my back.
“You kissed me.” I stated, knowing it would get under his skin. He threw his head back, digging the heels of his palms into his eyes.
“I knew you would hate it. ‘M sorry. I should’ve asked. You probably don’t want to be my friend anymore. I understand if-“ I took this moment of blindness to step forward and grab him by the front of his shirt, shutting him up almost instantly.
Before he even got his eyes open, I stood on my toes and found his lips in a quick kiss, reenacting the same one he’d given me. Yuji froze against, hands hovering just over his head before they landed in his hair.
“You kissed me.” He repeated, staring down at me with wide eyes. I retreated again, returning my hands to their place behind my back.
“Intentionally.” Yuji stated.
“Yes.” I answered. Without warning, he took two long steps forward and dipped his head down, catching my lips in a proper, knee buckling kiss. He exhaled through his nose, breath hot against my cheek. Yuji kept his hands to himself, unsure of where to put them.
I smiled against his lips, tilting my head slightly to get a better angle. Then he pulled back, a slight smooch sound echoing around us. His hands flew to the back of his head. His throat bobbed as he swallowed. He looked complete flushed and awestruck.
“Wait, so is this like, okay?” He asked breathily. I smiled and quirked a brow, trying desperately to ignore the fluttering in my stomach.
“What? Kissing?” I asked, not understanding his question.
“Like me kissing you.” He said, beginning to pace in front of me. “It’s hot in here.” I laughed and shook my head.
“Yes, Yuji. It’s okay.” I told him. He glanced at me with every turn of his body. The last time I had seen him pace like this was when he was trying to piece together the reality of Sukuna living inside of him.
“But like, you’re my best friend in the whole world. We’ve grown up together. Watched each other grow and change and stuff and-“
“Yuji. You’re spiraling.” I told him. He stopped pacing and looked over, fully facing me now. I took a careful step forward, arms reaching up to lay my hands on top of his shoulders again. His hands came to rest on my sides, thumbs brushing the bottom of my ribs.
After a long pause, our breathing had synced and Yuji seemed to have his head on straight again.
“Come to think of it,” he started. I held his gaze, showing him that I was really listening. “There is literally no one else I want to share this with.” I smiled up at him, seeing something shift behind his eyes.
He leaned down again, stealing another unsure taste of my lips. He inched back, but I tipped upward, chasing that new burn of him. Another kiss. Another. Each one just a quick, childlike smooch. This continued until we were both giggling like we used to when we played on the playground together.
“I like you.” Yuji said, punctuating his statement with another kiss.
“I like you too.” I replied, kissing him back.
“That’s crazy.” He told me, looking down at me, his pupils blown wide.
“So are you.” I informed him teasingly. He quirked a brow and then rolled his eyes.
“I already know that, you don’t have to remind me.” He replied, pulling me into yet another hug. I squeezed him, feeling any nerves that I may have worked up over the last few minutes fade from my body, dissipating in the air above us.
First Date : 2 Months After First Kiss : 2021
“I don’t understand why you’re so nervous.” Nobara said, leaning against the doorframe of her bathroom. She had been kind enough to let me get ready in her room, whilst Yuji was not even a hallway away.
“Well, because this is different.” I answered, pulling the curling iron from my hair.
“Literally how. Haven’t you guys already kissed?” She asked, looking at her nails lazily. I blushed at the casualness of her question.
“So what is the big deal?” She sounded almost frustrated. “You guys literally love each other. You may not have said it out loud, but I have never seen people love each other the way you guys do.” She told me. My knees were shaking under me.
I did love Yuji. I had told him. But only when we were younger and it was all innocence. But we were growing up. New feelings had bloomed. Which meant new meaning behind those three little words.
“You think so?” I asked, unsure of what else to say.
“Yes, idiot.” She said, no actual bite in her tone. I smirked, careful not to smear the thin sheen of lipgloss I was applying. “Don’t change because you think this is supposed to be something new. You guys just need to be yourselves, but in a fancier setting for a couple of hours. That’s all this is.”
She was right. I’ve had lots of dinners with Yuji before. This one should be no different. I put the cap back on my lipgloss and shoved it back into my bag.
“You’re right.” I stated, turning to face her.
“I know I am.” She fired back, smirking at me. “Yuji’s a lucky bastard.” Her eyes travelled down my body and back to my face. I giggled and looked at my reflection once more.
I had chosen a simple black dress with a halter neckline. The length hung just barely above my knees and it hugged my figure nicely. I’d paired it with the friendship bracelet that Yuji made for me when we were about nine years old, its pink beads contrasting the black perfectly.
I felt a little funny wearing something like this for him. Sure, he’d seen me in nice dresses before. But they were never for him. This time I was dressing for his gaze. Hoping and praying that he would still see me the same as he always did.
I stepped out of Nobara’s room, waving her goodbye and making my way to Yuji’s door. I stopped in front and before I could even knock, Yuji shouted from the other side.
“Wait! Hold on!” He sounded frantic. I immediately started to laugh.
“How did you even know I was here?” I asked him between giggles. I heard a few thumps before he answered.
“We’re like, one hundred percent in each other’s heads.” He replied.
“Speaking of which, did you just hit yours?” I asked. Just then, he opened the door, one hand on the back of his head, rubbing lightly while his right eye was squeezed shut.
“How did you know?” He asked, his open eye trailing down my body before widening.
“The back of mine started to hurt.” I teased, reaching up and tapping his forehead with my finger. He pressed his lips together, a soft ‘mhm’ sound slipping through them just before he got them closed.
I took in his appearance, white button down with sleeves rolled to his elbows tucked into black dress pants. I eyed the little pink friendship bracelet sitting brightly on his wrist, like he hadn’t taken it off for the last nine years. He looked amazing.
The shirt clung to him nicely, revealing the lines and curves of muscles that had my face warming embarrassingly.
“You look incredible.” He said, his right hand reaching for me. “It’s wild knowing that this time we’re getting dressed up for each other instead of some event.” I could see the blush in his cheeks, reaching all the way to the tips of his ears.
“I thought the same thing!” I replied, maybe a little too loudly. Yuji flashed his toothy grin. “But you actually like it? It’s not too much right?” I spun in a little circle, allowing him to look me completely over. When I faced him again, his eyes were glossed over, fixed solely on my face.
“Y-yeah. It’s like, perfect. You’re perfect.” He said, the last part coming out as a whisper. I blushed hard now, feeling his gaze like a physical weight.
“You look amazing too.” I said, stepping toward him. “I’m loving this.” I reached out and put my hands on his forearms that were hung by his sides, my fingers slipping just under the fabric of the cuffs. I saw his eyes flutter, watching the way my fingers disappeared under his shirt for a split second.
“That feels nice.” He muttered, head dropping an inch or two to rest his forehead against mine. His hands came up to rest atop my hips, giving them a gentle squeeze. I turned my head just enough to steal a quick kiss from him. Both of us were completely dazed by the other.
We stared for a moment longer and then Yuji took my hand and stepped out of his room.
It went off without a hitch. We sang our guts out on the car ride there. Yuji was extremely dramatic when he opened any door for me, bowing low and saying a soft, ‘m’lady’ each time. We laughed and talked like nothing was different at all.
It wasn’t really. But the air around us hummed with something new. We walked hand in hand around the streets of what remained of Tokyo, the orange glow of street lamps gracing us every once in a while.
We’d somehow ended up on top of an old office building. Maybe ten stories high. Yuji looked over the edge and retreated quickly, standing with his back to me.
“Oo, don’t look over there. You’d hate that.” He said, holding his hands behind him. I giggled and took his hands, swinging them carefully as not to hurt him.
“Yeah? How come?” I asked, taking a step closer to his back.
“Your crippling fear of falling of course.” He reminded me playfully, letting go of my hands to face me. I shrugged, playing with the hem of my dress.
“I already fell pretty hard recently, so it’s not so bad anymore.” I said, setting up a terrible joke. Yuji looked genuinely concerned at my words.
“You did? When?” He asked, looking me over for injuries.
“When I fell for you.” I said, sticking my tongue out at him. He smiled wide, shoulders relaxing once he realized I was only joking.
“You fell for me?” He asked, like he was just making sure he wasn’t dreaming. I nodded, gaze locking onto his now. He stepped forward, hands resting on my sides. I ran my hands up his arms, letting them perch atop his shoulders.
Yuji stared down at me, eyes darting between my own. I saw his right cheek hollow out, like he was chewing on the inside of it. Before I could ask if he was okay, he spoke up.
“Would you consider being my girlfriend? Like, officially?” He said, tilting his head back to look anywhere but me. I froze up, Yuji’s hands beginning to shake on my sides. I brought my hands down to grab his, holding them in the space between us.
“What makes you think I would need to consider that?” I asked, unable to keep a smile off of my face. He looked back down at me quickly.
“So you will?” Yuji said excitedly. I smiled up at him, swinging our arms lightly between our bodies.
“Of course, Yu.” I said softly, grounding us in the moment. “I kind of knew this would happen eventually.” I giggled and he laughed nervously, running his hand along the back of his neck.
“Okay now that it’s official…” He trailed off and turned away from me, walking a few paces away to stand in one of the corners of the roof. I raised a brow, curious to see what it was he was up to. Then he turned and threw a hand in the air.
“HEY BABE!” He yelled. It was so loud I could hear it echoing off of the surrounding buildings. I laughed out loud, covering my mouth with my hand. Once I regained my composure, I mimicked his hand raise.
“HI BABY!” I called back, not nearly as loud as he’d shouted. Yuji came running over, laughter spilling out of him with every step. He scooped me up, wrapping me in a tight hug and spinning me around. When he stilled, he set me down carefully and tipped his head, catching my lips in a soft, searing kiss.
It felt different this time. Knowing that he was officially mine and I was officially his. It felt less dangerous and more inviting. Less unknown and more comfortable. Yuji’s arms tightened around my middle, pulling me flush against his chest. I wrapped my arms around his neck, one hand tangling loosely in his pink hair.
He pulled back and sighed, chasing my lips in little pecks until I leaned backward from laughter. But his grip never faltered.
“I love you.” He muttered. We stared at each other. “Whoa, that felt different this time. You say it.” I could feel a slight shudder in his chest.
“I love you too.” I replied, feeling my heart jump in my chest. Yuji must’ve noticed that I’d reacted strangely.
“See? Weird right?” He asked, one hand coming up to cup my cheek. I leaned into his touch.
“Super.” I stated. “I love you.” I tested the words again, feeling the same little jump.
“I love you too.” Yuji answered, thumb swiping under my eye. He leaned into to kiss me again, holding me impossibly closer.
First Time : Random Friday Night : 2026 | 18+ |
“If I had just hit it a little harder, I would’ve won!” Yuji whined, kicking his shoes off in my foyer.
“Why are you still such a sore loser, Yu?” I asked, hanging my purse on its designated hook.
“Only when it’s air hockey!” He complained, balling his fists at his sides, cheeks puffed out like a little boy. I looked over at him, smiling cockily.
“Oh my gosh, you’re literally so cute I can’t stand it.” I stated, pulling my own shoes off and tossing them into my room. Just like that, his hands unfurled and he stepped forward, holding his hand up for a high five.
“Okay, okay. Forgiven.” He said fixing his eyes on the floor. I walked over and smacked his hand, following it up with a lazy hug. I draped my arms over his shoulders, burying my face into the side of his neck.
“Did you ask Nobara and Fushiguro to come to breakfast tomorrow?” I asked, voice muffled by the fabric of his hoodie. His arms snaked around my waist, pulling me closer.
“Yeah. Nobara was instantly down but I had to ask Megumi twice.” He told me, hand tracing shapes along my back.
“But he’s coming right?” I asked, pulling back from him slightly.
“Yeah, he’ll be there.” He reassured. Yuji, looked down at me, a glint of something sparkling in his eye.
“I love you.” He whispered, touching his nose to mine.
“I love you too.” I replied, standing on my toes and kissing the column of his throat. He leaned his head back, swallowing hard at the contact. I giggled, stepping out of his hold and heading to my room.
“Gonna go put my pajamas on.” I told him. He moved to the couch, setting up the movie we’d agreed on watching on the way back from the arcade. I decided on one of Yuji’s shirts that he’d loaned me about a year ago and some shorts. Ones that disappeared under the fabric of the shirt.
I wiped what little makeup I’d been wearing off and then took my hair out of its braids, brushing through it lightly before walking out to join Yuji on the couch. As soon as my door opened, he looked over, smiling when he saw me.
“Hey cutie.” He said, opening the blanket for me. He was laid out on his side, back pressing into the cushions of the couch. I sat down in front of him, stretching my legs out under the blanket and nestling into him. My back pressed flush against his chest, a position that he and I had grown very accustomed to.
Yuji had his head in his hand, while the other held the remote. He rested it on my hip as he clicked around, finding the movie and turning off the captions once it started.
“Ready?” He asked, leaning down and kissing my cheek. I nodded, pulling the blanket up under my chin. After a while, we had realized the movie was much slower than we thought. So we opted for soft conversation interrupted every once in a while by a quick kiss.
“That’s what you said last time.” I said, twirling one of his hoodie strings around my finger. I’d ended up on my back so that I could look up at him. His right hand rested on my stomach while his left continued to hold his head.
“Meant it last time, too.” He replied with a slight shrug. I giggled, pulling on the string enough to get him to kiss me. He leaned down, eyes fluttering shut as his lips met mine. I felt his hand fist the blanket that laid over my stomach, like he was reaching for me but had been blocked by the fabric.
He pulled back a bit and I nearly whined, reaching out for him again.
“W-wait.” I said softly. My hand found the back of his neck and I pulled him back down gently. Our lips met again and Yuji inhaled through his nose, pouring unspoken praises into the kiss. His hand that had been resting on my stomach fell to my side and he pulled me into him, turning my body so my chest was pressed against his.
We pulled away again and I looked up at him, seeing his pupils blown wide.
“For what?” He whispered, nose touching mine. I quirked a brow.
“What?” I asked, hands balling into the fabric of his hoodie.
“You said ‘wait’ a minute ago.” He reminded me. “Wait for what?” I smiled sheepishly, feeling a heat beginning to pool in my stomach.
“Oh. Nothing.” I stated. “I just wanted to keep kissing you.” Yuji’s eyes widened.
“Was that like, begging?” He asked teasingly. I shoved him lightly, trying to hide my face in his chest.
“Don’t let it go to your head, mister.” I said, voice muffled by his hoodie. I felt his hand slip under my chin, forcing me to look back up at him. Then he kissed me, this time with a gentle urgency. I closed my eyes, relishing the feeling of his soft lips against mine, a spark of desperation igniting into full blown need.
Yuji tilted his head, eliciting a soft moan from my chest and he pulled back just enough to look down at me.
“Why do you keep stopping?” I whimpered, eyes darting down to his lips. His brows were knit together in concentration, looking over my face as if he was studying me. The hand that had been holding his head moved to the back of my neck, holding me in place.
He leaned in again, head tilted at the previous angle and kissed me. I moved my hands along the expanse of his chest, rumpling the fabric of his hoodie.
His free hand found its way under the blanket, moving to my side again, pinky brushing under the hem of my shirt.
I peeked at him, finding his eyes shut tight and his brows pinched together. The heat in my stomach grew hotter. I felt his tongue brush my bottom lip and I shuddered, opening my mouth slowly and letting him in.
This was something we never really came close to. Sure, we were together officially, for years in fact. But there was still that unspoken invisible line of our friendship that neither of us had quite figured out how to cross.
His tongue slipped past my teeth and brushed along the roof of my mouth, causing both of us to moan softly. It was warm and wet, and yet felt perfectly natural. He continued to explore my mouth, slowly and thoroughly. His hand fisted my hair gently, pulling my head back just enough for him to hit a new spot.
My hands moved down his abdomen, finding the bottom of his hoodie. I tucked my fingers under the fabric, the backs of them pressing into his bottom two ab muscles. Yuji sighed and pulled back, a string of saliva keeping us connected until it snapped.
“I love you.” He whispered. “I love you so much.” I smiled, my eyes so glossy that Yuji was near blurry to me. He buried his face into the crook my neck.
“I love you too, Yuji.” I said back, pulling one of my hands from under his hoodie and resting it on the back of his head.
“Wanna sit up.” He muttered, already moving to a sitting position. He looked beautiful in the soft blue light of the TV. His legs were spread, his hair a mess, his cheeks were rosy and his lips were glossy. The heat in my stomach was almost unbearable now.
The blanket fell from my shoulders as I sat up, starting to sit beside him until he grabbed my upper arm.
“C’mere.” He said, eyelids hung low over his eyes. “Still want you.” I pulled my bottom lip between my teeth, letting him tug me into his lap until my knees were on either side of his hips.
“Yuji.” I whispered, his name being the only appropriate thing to say right now. He hummed, reaching up to tuck my hair behind my ear before resting his hand on my cheek, pulling me back into another kiss.
This time, it was my turn to explore his mouth. I tilted my head just so, my hands finding the sides of his neck, thumbs brushing his jawline. Yuji let me in almost instantly, shuddering below me when my lips wrapped around his tongue.
The moment was slow and intimate. Two people who’ve known each other their whole lives exploring the other like they had treasure to be found. His hands gripped my hips, the fabric of my shirt bunched above his wrists.
Our heads tilted opposite the other’s as we kissed, tongues dancing together in perfect synchronization. We giggled each time our teeth clinked together, but neither of us pulled away. Yuji’s fingers began to push and pull at the fabric of my shirt, enough to get my attention. I leaned back and looked down at him, a sight to behold.
“Can I take this off?” He asked timidly, voice shaking slightly at the weight of the question. “You’re not close enough.” I sighed, my heart feeling as though it could explode at any moment. This was it. The crossing of that line. I thought when the time came I would feel more afraid. But right now? I wanted nothing more than to be crossing it with him.
“Yeah.” I said sweetly. Yuji’s eyes dilated even more as he grabbed the sides of the fabric and pulled it over my head slowly, letting me raise my arms. He tossed it onto the floor and quickly returned his hands to my ribs, sliding his palms around the expanse of my skin.
I would’ve thought he’d be watching his hands. Or maybe looking at the baby pink bra I was wearing. But instead his eyes were on mine, reading over my reactions to his hands. I sighed, arching into his touch a little more. His hands slipped under the back of my bra, just feeling.
I leaned down, capturing his lips in another kiss before I moved to his neck. I left little kisses along his jaw line, pulling a soft groan from him. His hands continued to drag over my back, callouses leaving goosebumps in their wake. My heart was pounding. He was so close and yet not close enough. I needed every part of him. My best friend. My boyfriend. My everything.
I sucked on a small spot just below his ear and his hands stilled, just holding me and allowing me to mark him up. I pulled back, and he tilted his head, finding my lips just before I got too far. He kissed me hard, nose pushing into my cheek, tongue lapping at the roof of my mouth. I had no idea where this came from.
Suddenly, Yuji’s hands slid to the backs of my thighs and he stood from the couch, keeping me close and causing me to wrap my legs around his middle. I smiled into the kiss, hands tangling into his hair as he pushed my back against the nearest wall. I gasped, the cool paint sending shivers down my spine.
“What’re you doing?” I asked teasingly, pulling away to breathe for a moment. Yuji looked completely wrecked. No doubt I looked the exact same.
“‘M not sure.” He said nervously, his hands trailing up the backs of my thighs to my ass. I stared down at him, the sensation of the new touch sending more heat to my core. “This okay?” He asked. Ever the gentleman. I pressed my forehead to his and nodded.
“Of course. ‘M yours, Yu.” I whispered, kissing his lips again. He groaned at my words and stepped back so I wasn’t against the wall.
“S-say that again.” He breathed.
“I’m yours.” I repeated with a little more confidence. Next thing I knew, I was being laid onto my bed, Yuji’s lips reattaching to mine. My hands found the bottom of his hoodie again, hands trailing up his abs and chest before he finally pulled away from me.
He sat up and I watched as he pulled the hoodie over his head, tossing it onto the floor and moving back on top of me. I had seen this part of his body before. But he just looked so beautiful tonight. Sacred almost. His lips found mine again, and he lowered himself just enough to feel the warmth of his skin against mine. He lifted his head at the contact, looking down at how we were pressed together.
“You’re so warm.” He hummed, pressing his body further into mine. He sighed and looked back up at me.
“I like this.” Yuji stated, leaning down to press kisses along my collarbones. I sighed at the feeling. His lips were so soft against the untouched skin. My hands reached up and tangled into his hair again, not pressing, but keeping him close.
His tongue darted out and brushed a careful strip all the way over to the front of my shoulder. Then he lifted his head again, attacking my lips with a burning force. His right hand found my hip, pressing my body into the mattress.
“Yuji…” I whispered against his mouth. He groaned, saying a slew of different things. My name. ‘I love you’. ‘What are we doing?’.
Then his hips rolled. It may have been accidental. It may have been instinct. It may have been desperation. We both froze. Yuji pulled back from my lips and stared at me with wide eyes. Then he shuddered, slowly rolling his hardening bulge between my legs again.
“I-is that weird?” He asked breathlessly, tucking some of my hair behind my ear. I lifted my head slightly to kiss the corner of his mouth. Then I arched my back, pressing my clothed heat into his hips. Yuji’s brows knit together and he dropped his forehead to my shoulder, lowering the rest of his body to meet the friction.
“I love you.” He muttered, teeth grazing my shoulder.
“I love you too, Yuji.” I said, trailing my hands up his bare sides.
“Do you, um…” he started, slowly lifting his head from my shoulder. “Do you want to do this?” His gaze was focused on my lips, almost afraid to look me in the eye. “You know cause I’ve never… and-and I want it to be good,” I pressed a finger to his lips, causing him to melt into me slightly.
“I want to be as close to you as possible, Yu.” I whispered, moving my finger to press a kiss to his lips. I began to pull back, but he chased me all the way down until my head was against the mattress again.
His right hand was planted beside my head while his left dragged over my side, down until he was balling the fabric of my shorts in his palm. I had one hand around his forearm above me and the other holding the back of his neck.
Yuji tugged at the fabric, causing them to slip just slightly. He pulled back from my lips, adjusting the shorts on my body again.
“M’sorry. I’m nervous.” He said, looking down again at the way his hips were pressed against mine. Then he huffed a short laugh. “I shouldn’t be.” I reached down and cupped his cheek with my head, pulling him to look at me.
“No! No, I really want this, I just… I’m feeling a lot right now.” He told me. His gaze softened, an invisible weight lifting from his shoulders. I smiled up at him.
“Me too.” I admitted. That seemed to trip something in him. Like I had turned the second key of a machine that had been lying dormant inside of him, while he had spent forever holding the first.
He squeezed the fabric again, sitting back on his knees and moving his other hand to help. Yuji’s eyes stayed fixed on my face as I lifted my hips a little, allowing him to fully rid me of my shorts and panties. Once they hit the floor, Yuji crawled back on top of me. He pressed a quick kiss to my lips before looking down at my body beneath him.
He swallowed so loud I could hear it in the comfortable silence that surrounded us. When he looked back up at me, his eyes were soft.
“What do you want me to do?” He asked sweetly. I blushed at the question, thinking about a serious answer. But I didn’t feel like answering seriously just yet.
“Join me in my nakedness, please.” I said, running my hands down his chest. He smiled and laughed softly, sitting up again and scratching the back of his neck.
“I guess I can do that.” He told me, sliding off of the bed. Just before his fingers found the buckle of his belt, I sat up.
“Wait.” I said. He stopped and looked down at me. “Let me.” His eyes widened slightly and he watched as I moved down the bed to him, locking my ankles behind his jeans clad knees. I held eye contact with him as my fingers found the buckle, pulling the leather from the metal and then from the belt loops.
I leaned forward, pressing little kisses to his abs, pulling a soft exhale from him. I plucked the button from its hole and pulled the zipper down, looking up at Yuji after one more kiss in the center of his stomach.
“You’re so pretty.” He whispered, his hand tangling into the hair at the nape of my neck. I smiled up at him and tucked my fingers into the waistband of both his jeans and boxers and slowly pulled them down. I watched as more of his beautiful V-line was exposed.
But before he was bare, he grabbed my wrist, stopping me. I looked back up at him, worried I may have overstepped somehow.
“Your stare is really heavy.” He huffed, laughing slightly. I opened my mouth to answer, but was instead stopped when he dipped down, tongue plunging back into my mouth. I moaned in surprise, my left hand slipping from his waistband at the way his body moved.
But my right pushed again, hoping that he would help me with what I couldn’t reach. I felt the fabric slip, telling me that he was now bare too. I smiled against his mouth as he maneuvered us backward until my head hit the pillows. Yuji pulled back, eyes darting between mine.
“My stare is heavy?” I asked, inquiring about his earlier comment. He kissed my forehead.
“You made me nervous.” He corrected. There was no bite in his voice. But he was telling the truth.
“There is no way I still make you nervous.” I pointed out, hands running over the tops of his shoulders and down his back. He shuddered, dropping to leave an open-mouthed kiss on my neck.
“You’d be surprised.” He whispered softly. The air thickened comfortably again, Yuji lowering himself against me. His length kissed my folds and we both froze for a second.
“You’re wet.” He stated, lifting himself to look down my body.
“Obviously.” I said, using my index finger to turn his chin toward me. Yuji chewed the inside of his cheek.
“C-can I feel?” He asked, hand traveling down my side and over my stomach. I shuddered, feeling the heat in my belly intensify once more. I nodded and watched his hand slip further and further down. I glanced up and stared at the back of his head every once in a while.
Then I felt it. The sweet pressure of his index and middle fingers running over my slick folds. He dragged them up slowly, collecting the wetness and pressing down on my clit. I arched unexpectedly and Yuji pulled back.
“What?” He asked, looking back at me.
“Th-that felt good.” I told him. I quirked a brow, looking at his glistening fingers.
“What did?” He said, hand reaching down again. He started the same, brushing up the middle all the way to the-
“There.” I said, hand darting out to hold his wrist. Yuji stopped again, gaze transfixed on the placement of his fingers against me. He pressed a little harder and I sucked in a breath, feeling something tighten in my stomach.
“Here?’ He asked, moving his fingers back and forth slightly. I bit down on my lower lip, eyes fluttering closed.
“Mhm.” I breathed. Then he began to move them in small circles, making me gasp. “Okay, wait wait.” I pleaded, reaching up to hold his shoulder. He stopped, and pushed downward, collecting the new juices that were oozing out of me. He brought them up to his line of sight, staring at them like he’d just touched water from the Fountain of Youth.
“Cool.” He huffed, finally looking back down at my blushing face. “Was that okay?” I opened my eyes again, taking in his amazed expression. I smiled and exhaled deeply.
“Very. I just…” I started. I didn’t want to sound desperate.”I just want to feel you.” I saw Yuji’s face turn a light shade of pink. He turned his body to rest above me properly.
“I want to feel you too.” He said honestly. His chest pressed into mine as he nestled comfortably between my legs, his hardened length resting against my heat. Yuji kissed between my breasts, hand moving down to wrap around his cock. My hands found home in his hair as his kissed moved upward until he hovered over my lips.
He dragged the tip through my folds, finding the entrance and hesitating for a brief moment. He exhaled and breathed against my lips.
“Ready, baby?” He asked, the nickname to keeping us grounded. Reminding us of everything we’d been through together that got us to this exact moment. I tugged lightly on his hair to kiss him before pulling back to answer.
“Ready.” I said. He smiled and dropped his head to my shoulder, rolling his hips forward slowly. He pushed in, the stretch burning my insides. I squeezed my eyes shut, wrapping my arms around his neck. I could hear him sucking air between his teeth, his body rocking in little thrusts until he was fully buried inside of me.
“So warm.” He muttered, stilling with a deep, shuddering exhale. I held him and he held me. Our bodies adjusting to one another. I slowly pulled my right leg up, feeling him twitch inside of me. A small moan slipped past my lips as the adjustment allowed me to feel even fuller. Yuji just hummed against my neck, feeling the new angle with a small pull and push of his hips.
The burn between my legs began to turn into one of gentle desire. Yuji began to move a little, face still buried in the crook of my neck. Soft breaths and quiet moans escaped him with each small move. Then he stopped again.
“‘S it feel good?” He asked, finally lifting his head. His eyes were half lidded and his cheeks were bright red. I dragged my nails over his muscular back, raising goosebumps along his skin.
“So good, Yu.” I breathed, pushing my hips down an inch or two. His hand gripped my hip, stilling my movement.
“Ah, s-stay right there for a second.” He said, voice almost pleading. He pulled back slowly, hissing at the friction. I could feel the tip pressing against the inside of my entrance just before he pushed all the way back in at an agonizing pace.
“Mhmm, Yuji.” I breathed. “C-can you..”
“Yeah. Yeah, of course.” He huffed, drawing his hips back again. The stretch was delicious. He was hitting places inside of me I had no idea were there. The hand that was on my hip slipped to the bed, holding his weight to thrust into me with ease.
I lifted my head slightly, capturing his lips in a somewhat shaky kiss. He was moving quicker now, setting a pace that was just comfortable. Deep enough to keep me moaning softly against his lips. He was thrusting smoother, my wetness growing with each pull and push of his hips.
Yuji huffed my name, low and grounding. I could feel his body trembling just as much as mine beneath my finger tips. Our breathing was loud and short. I could hear the rustle of his grip on the sheets beside my head. His forehead fell to mine, hitting it with a soft knock.
We giggled softly at the impact, his pace never faltering. Yuji lifted his head to press a kiss to the spot he’d bumped, putting his forehead against mine once more. His thrust hard, pausing for one second before pulling back and starting up the same pace again. Then he did it again and my back suddenly arched like before. He’d hit something, I just wasn’t sure what.
“Hm?” He breathed, lifting his head again to read my face. He rolled his hips slowly, pulling back to give one more harsh thrust in attempts to get that same reaction from me.
“Right there?” He asked, glancing down at where our bodies were connected. All I could do was nod. It felt like there was a fire burning inside of me and he was the only one who could put it out. Yuji did again and again, each one slow and harsh. I yelped, receiving another kiss to that mysterious sweet spot.
“Faster. Please, Yu. It’s starting to hurt.” I whined, cupping his face in my hand. Yuji looked completely wrecked. Drowned in the ocean of trying to make me feel good. Make us feel good.
“You feel so good around me.” He hummed, his pace beginning to quicken at my plea. His words put me at ease. I had hoped he was enjoying this too. “Feel ‘s so good, Baby.”
Yuji began to piston in and out of me, hitting that special spot with every thrust. The sound of skin slapping against skin matched the volume of our combined moans. Suddenly, Yuji’s left hand came down and pressed into the back of my right knee, pushing up on it until it was nearly pressed to my shoulder.
“‘M I hurting you?” He moaned, brows furrowed and eyes glossed over.
“N-no, it feels- ah.” I tried to speak. He had created a whole new angle, opening me up to more of him. We’d had each other in every way. Every way but this moment. We’d seen each other at our worsts. Celebrated our bests. Missed each other. Loved each other. Distanced ourselves. Slept over. Grown up together. There was no one else in this world I would rather be tangled up with than Yuji Itadori.
I felt so full of him. The way I could feel the thrum of his heart beat so close to my own. His breath mixing with mine between us. My heart full knowing that he was, without a doubt, my forever.
“I love you. I love you so much. You’re everything.” Yuji mumbled, kissing me after each slew of wonderful words. He groaned, head falling into my shoulder. I felt his back curve up, his abs tightening.
“H-how do you feel?” He huffed, his right hand slipping under the back of my head.
“Tight.” I squeaked, my core squeezing and tightening every time he bottomed out. Yuji kissed my neck, sucking on my flesh softly.
“Yeah, I feel you getting t-tighter.” He said, hissing against my skin. My arms wrapped around his back when I felt something snap inside of me. I was close. My stomach wasn’t being wishy washy with its tenseness anymore. It was just tight.
“Y-Yuji, I think I’m-“ His hand tightened in my hair.
“I’ve got you, Baby. Jus’ want you close.” He said, hips hammering even harder than before. Each thrust earned another small sound from me. “Ah- I’m gonna cum, too. W-Where should, ah ah-“ My arms only tightened around his back, not caring about any consequences. I wanted him close.
“B-Baby?” He tried to lift his head but failed. He stayed nestled in the crook of my neck, one hand tight in my hair while the other snaked under my back, lifting my hips to meet his. His chest was now pressed into mine. I could feel the layer of sweat that coated his beautiful body.
“Yuji!” I cried, body finally releasing all of that delicious tension. I could feel my walls fluttering around his cock as he continued to chase his own release. I felt his jaw fall open against my neck.
“K-keep squeezing like th-“ He stuttered. He mustered a couple more fast thrusts before he let out a loud, strangled sigh, stilling deep inside me. His arm tightened around my lower back, keeping me close as he spilled into me.
For a while, neither of us said anything. We just held each other. Arms and legs tangled. His head against my shoulder, his hair tickling my jaw. I reached up and began to run my fingers through it comfortingly. I could feel the way he softened inside of me, making room for our stirred arousal to seep out of me.
Yuji let out a slow breath and carefully lifted his head, resting his chin just above my sternum. He brushed some hair from my eyes and traced over my face with his index finger, ending with a boop to my nose.
“That was fun.” He finally said. I smiled at him. “How do you feel?” He began to sit up on his elbows so he could see me properly.
“Amazing.” I said breathily. “You?” He tipped his head, pressing a kiss to my sternum.
“Incredible. You’re my favorite person in the whole world.” He said sweetly. I couldn’t help the stupidly big smile that appeared on my face.
“And you’re mine, Yu.” I said, cupping his cheek. He was quiet for a beat and then I saw a twinkle of excitement in his eye.
“So, now that we’ve seen each other this way…” He began. I quirked a brow, waiting for whatever he was suggesting. “Would you be interested in taking a shower together?” I bit my bottom lip, running my fingers through is hair once more.
“Absolutely I would.” I replied, pressing my index finger to the center of his forehead playfully. Just as I was about to ask to get up, I felt his dick twitch inside of me, filling me up again. I winced slightly.
“Yuji?” I asked, pulling his attention. He must’ve known I noticed because his cheeks were already turning a light pink. “Are you getting hard again?”
“‘M sorry. Thought about seeing you like this again.” He admitted. I burst out laughing.
“You’re seeing me like this right now, Baby!” I said playfully. Yuji shrugged.
