Wilbur is Mentally Ill

(Start of) Chapter 1

The gentle pitter patter of rain against the attic window had always been Atlas’s biggest comfort when he lived at home. Something about how that sound combined so elegantly with the grainy classical music he’d play on the old record player was always able to calm his runaway heart, and that was exactly what he needed that very moment. Being in his old family home made him nervous enough as is, uncomfortable memories flooding back and all, but on top of that it was a very important day to the family. Though most were celebrating Atlas was mourning, as this was the day he would lose his sister once and for all.

“Atlas?” A voice similar to his own called for him, with a face poking up from the stairwell to match. “Dinner’s about ready, Mom’s gonna want help with everything.”

“Right, sorry. I’ll be down once I get this put away again.” Atlas confirmed, all but shooing away his brother.

Watching the way he plodded back down the stairs he could tell Adonis was in just as much distress over this situation as him, but unfortunately he had his own nerves to worry about. The records got tucked back away nonetheless and Atlas followed after. 

Atlas, Adonis, & family are some if my favorite characters yet and I am STOKED to he working with them again. Still kinda bad at focusing tho.

A song that I just vibe with on the same level of this story.
