Do they live together? Yes, eventually: I should've just left it at "Yes" but a lot of the things they get up to happen while they're living separately, which is why I added "eventually". At some point the landlord of the apartment complex Varré's lives in takes the property off of the rental market, so Varré ends up moving in with Calli when she offers up (and manages to convince Kat since the house is hers and she dislikes Varré, lol).

KillsBugs/CriesAboutIt: Calli cries about it when it's bugs she's scared of/disgusted by, or if she gets caught by surprise. Otherwise she's cool with most bugs as long as they don't bother her. Varré just doesn't care for them and will kill any that he sees. He doesn't have a personal vendetta against them, but if a bug gets close to him, no matter what kind it is, he won't think twice about crushing or swatting it. Perhaps he'll make an exception for bugs like butterflies, but he'd still swat them if he gets spooked by them. To Calli's horror, lol.

Practical/Impulsive: They both make practical and impulsive purchases, but Varré only makes impulsive ones if he can afford to or if it's something he truly wants and can't resist buying. Calli does her best to buy what she needs and makes sure she can get the most use out of her purchases, but after growing up with a family who never gave her anything she's more inclined to buying things that simply make her happy, and just for the sake of having more things she can call her own compared to how very little she had in the past.

Cuddles/SleepDistantly: What can I say, they love physical intimacy lol.

HomeCooks/Takeout: After moving in with Calli, Varré cooks more frequently than he did when living by himself, thanks to Kat making it an obligation for him to cook at least once a week (Kat's house, Kat's rules). But most times Varré gets takeout because he's lazy and prefers having a meal right then and there after coming home from work, and not have to wash any dishes afterwards. At time's Varré will either call or text Calli and ask if she wants him to bring home takeout for the both of them, or ask if she can order some for them to eat together when he gets home from work (mostly the latter so he doesn't have to spend his own money, the fucking bastard🤣). Calli cooks at home more and at times does meal planning to have food for her and Varré to take to work. Her favorite meals to make are soups and pasta dishes with a side salad or steamed veggies.

Clean/Messy: Obviously they sleep in the same room, aka Calli's bedroom, so there's a bit more clutter than before. Calli's messes are more of a "lived-in" and "organized mess" type of situation but she does clean her room every so often, while Varré's messes are because he's not bothered much by clutter and simply can't be arsed to be tidy. Calli doesn't mind as long as the messes don't pile ontop of eachother and get out of hand, but Kat checks Calli's room at times and will bitch at Varré to pick up after himself or even clean the entire room, even if the only mess of his is a single sock on the floor. Because that's how much she doesn't like him🤣

Shower/Bath: Varré takes a bath or shower depending on his mood, energy, and time. If he gets home from work feeling especially tired and sore, he'll draw a bath or have Calli run one for him if she's home (and join him🤭). Otherwise he'll take a quick shower to wash the important bits and call it a day. Sometimes he gets home too tired and just skips bathing all together, lol. Calli has way more free time as an exotic dancer who chooses when to work, so she's able to take more baths. She showers when she's in a rush or needs to shave, exfoliate, and/or wash her hair, otherwise you'll find her in the tub surrounded by lots of bubbles and a scented candle or two, while listening to some relaxing tunes.

Different/Matching: Sometimes they match, other times they don't. Sometimes they coordinate their outfits, other times they match coincidentally. Sometimes they wanna express themselves through their own unique style (moreso Calli than Varré). But like shown in the image it's not something they make a deal of.

CALLI'S TASTES/PERSONAL BELONGINGS

1) Cathedral Window Suncatcher: Calli loves cathedral windows and gothic architecture (her parents had her attend catholic school in Modern AU, and whatever the equivalent would be in Elden Ring, which she dreaded), and though she's not religious she loves religious imagery and aesthetics. I chose autumnal colors for the stained glass since Fall is her favorite season, and its the season she was born in.

2) Cross-stitching Hoop: Calli used to have a personal servant named Orela (yes she's named after Orela Rose from DBD leave me alone🤣; I like her name) who was like a mother to her, and one of the few things Orela taught Calli was how to cross-stitch. It gave her something to do and a creative skill to hone since Calli wasn't allowed many things growing up. Now she cross-stitches as a way to stim, exercise her brain, deal with stress, or pass the time whenever the wifi goes out, lol. Or whenever she's missing Orela a little more than usual. Fun fact: the mushroom pattern is actually a drawing I made irl that I traced over⬇️

3) Pleaser/Stripper Heel: Calli works as an exotic dancer so most of the time she's rocking stripper heels, whether she's working a shift at the club or practicing pole tricks at home. Sometimes she just tosses them onto the floor when she comes home from the club super tired, and leaves them there for a few days until she trips over them. That's when she remembers to put them back in her closet, lol.

4) Vape Pen: She vapes. What more can I say, lol. Sometimes Calli vapes regular e-juice and other times she vapes cannabis oil.

5) iPod & Earbuds: Carries them with her everywhere she goes. Always gotta have some bangers playing while she's out and about, riding the bus or in an Uber, or doing stuff at home. The song currently playing on it is "Little Dreamer" by DeathbyRomy.

6) Rhythmic Clubs: Funny story, I meant to draw a rhythmic ribbon because that's her favorite apparatus, but I drew the other stuff first and then ended up with not enough space to draw the ribbon. And me being the lazy fuck that I am I just decided to draw rhythmic clubs, which she uses as well. She's proficient in rhythmic gymnastics and was trained in secret by her maternal uncle and aunt Joziah and Renata.

7) Dino Nugget Pillow: Calli loooves dino nuggets (like me 🤣) so naturally she's the proud owner of a dino nugget pillow (which I don't have 😭). It's about the size of half her body and she always snuggles with it in bed, on the couch when watching TV or movies, or when she's feeling down and needs something soft and plush to comfort herself.

VARRÉ'S TASTES/PERSONAL BELONGINGS

1) First Aid Pouch: Varré wears it around his hip and carries it with him almost everywhere he goes. It was originally gonna be all red, but while looking for reference pics I saw an off-white pouch with a red cross and thought it looked really nice, so I opted for that instead. I explain a bit more about Varré's first aid pouch in my Varré Modern AU Headcanons post⬇️

2) Rose Perfume Roller: He loves all things roses, so of course he'd be smelling like one. Though this particular perfume oil has an opaque red hue and a faint metallic note (geez I wonder what might be the cause of that 👀🩸). Varré makes it himself so it can smell exactly how he wants it to, and he's quite possibly the only person who likes the scent. Apart from Calli, lol. She's silly. Varré opted for a perfume roller because not only is it easier to make, but the fragrance is more concentrated when suspended in a carrier oil and applied directly onto the skin. And it lasts longer (cuz he stinky, lol).

3 & 4) Lighter & Cigarette Pack: I, as well as a good handful of other people, headcanon Varré being a smoker, so I had to draw a lighter and a cigarette pack. He won't be caught dead without them and it's where a good chunk of his income goes to. The rose on the lighter is a cheap sticker Varré slapped onto it, lol. And yes, it says "Mohgboro" on the cigarette packet. I'm a fucking genius👌🏼(not).

5) Lamb-shaped Planter: Okay so I lied, Varré doesn't just have a vase with roses. He also has a cute little lamb-shaped planter pot where he keeps different small house plants. While deciding on his personal belongings I remembered someone saying he'd probably own a house plant or two in a modern au setting. But then I thought instead of just any regular planter pot I'd draw him one shaped like a lamb, as a nod to him calling the Tarnished "lambkin". I like to think he bought it at a thrift store. Or maybe he stole it. I wouldn't put it past him🤣

There's actually two types of Beast handling licenses you can get!

One type is for a single kind of Beast (takes one month maximum to get, usually requires one form to fill out and/or one in person visit or phone call)

The other kind is to handle EVERY Beast (Takes much longer to get, up to a few months, also requires several in person visits or phone calls. This process can be sped up with REALLY good representation though! I got mine so quick because I was already a well known cookie caretaker at the time!)
