One of the hardest things for me is seeing friends who survived the war and managed to leave Gaza rebuild their lives and continue their education. They are attending universities, making plans for their future, and moving forward with their lives. I am genuinely happy for them, but at the same time, I cannot ignore the pain of knowing that my own education came to a halt on the very first day of the war. More than a thousand days have passed, and I still feel as though my life has been frozen in place
Yet as painful as that is, it is not the thing that weighs on me the most. While we try to adapt to the reality that the war has forced upon us, my father continues to live with the daily pain caused by a herniated disc. I watch him struggle with simple tasks that once seemed effortless, and I find myself constantly thinking about the surgery he needs. The hardest part is knowing that his pain continues day after day, while all I want is to see him finally find some relief
Only €277 remain. It may not seem like a large amount, but it is still the barrier between my father and the surgery he urgently needs. After everything we have endured during this war, it is heartbreaking to be so close and yet still unable to reach the finish line. If you are able to help in any way, no matter how small the contribution, it could bring us one step closer to ending this long struggle
