I think this could go one of two ways and both are equally delicious to my infidelity loving obikin brain.

the first is obi-wan being a little bit evil about it and really being into anakin cheating on his wife with him. Especially in a modern AU setting where there are fewer factors and repressions etc influencing him, I have always been really into the idea of exploring obi-wan’s possessive and kind of bitchy side lol. I think obi-wan would look at the ring and be smug as hell. you’re going home to your wife but I’m going home with an ass full of your cum type vibes

Do you have any thoughts or headcanons about Obi-Wan's taste in food and drink? One of mine is that contrary to many people's expectations he actually has quite a bit of a sweet tooth, though he becomes more self conscious about indulging it publically as he gets older and more senior

Anakin stops by a coffee place and picks up an unsweetened black caf, and a the space equivalent of an oat milk vanilla latte with caramel drizzle and two pumps brown sugar with whipped cream, because he isn't going to enable his master's need to hide something as silly as liking sweet drinks to appear like a proper Jedi Master, and most onlookers make the wrong assumption about which drink is for which general lol

Another part of this is I think Qui-Gon used to bring him a little beverage treat as a peace offering if they fought. Mostly because I find the image of angy bby padaobi still trying to look cross while he sips on his drinkie through his straw, very cute :3

I love the idea of obi-wan having a sweet tooth! I think if he kind of tried to keep it on the DL anakin would really relish knowing that about obi-wan 🥺 I could see him getting some chocolates or something to keep in his quarters to give to obi-wan after a battle as a little comfort.

I haven’t thought about food/drinks too much but I do think it’s interesting how there seems to be a fanon idea that obi-wan hates/can’t tolerate spicy food lol (maybe there is support for this in a book somewhere, no clue). I can definitely see why but I also think exploring the flip side would be fun. maybe obi-wan actually has a really high spice tolerance and enjoys getting to reveal it to people at the right time and impress them when he tucks into some crazy hot dish on a new planet without batting an eye lol.

also the thing about qui-gon is so cute 🥺🥺 and I think obi-wan would definitely carry that over into being anakin’s master. I think that probably felt like a safe way to show his care for anakin when obi-wan felt uncertain about a lot of other displays of affection. and I think he would have enjoyed watching anakin try new foods and drinks 🥺 maybe they have their own little rituals when they go to a new planet for the first time and get to try new things together.

yes 😭 I think his conscious/waking mind has probably done a pretty good job of tamping those thoughts down. like I don’t think vader will let himself contemplate regretting his decisions or wishing things had happened differently, I would think he just converts those feelings into rage and blame. like his choices became irrevocable so quickly I don’t think he would allow himself the pain (and not the kind he desires) that truly regretting them would bring or the weakness it would imply.
