eve was an interesting person. sometimes, she seemed to love attention just as much as she loved being alone. although people have a tendency of getting under her skin and irritating her until every ounce of patience she has is sucked dry, she likes them when they’re useful to her, complimenting her, or telling her things she likes to hear. today, however, there wasn’t enough flattery in the world that could keep her around others. her annoyance levels were at an all time high and she had a feeling she was going to go off on whoever looked at her next, which told her that it’d be in everyone’s best interest if she distanced herself.
there’s a quiet crunch beneath her feet as she wanders into the familiar forest, finally letting out a breath that feels like had been caught in her lungs since she woke up this morning. being here had a way of comforting and calming her the way no person could. if she didn’t need her ego fed from time to time, perhaps she’d never step foot away from here.
her footsteps are aimless for a while, though she soon notices that she’s not alone. well, she’s never alone, but there was another person here, which happened from time to time, but not often enough that she expects it. initially, she’s displeased with this fact and starts on her way to approach them to demand to know what they’re doing out here, but once she is close enough and realizes who it is, she lets out a relieved sigh. “ah… looking for a wee bit of alone time, are we?”

violet couldn’t stay within the walls of mokseong today. her mind couldn’t take anymore of the insistent noises and voices, she wasn’t sleeping well at all. throbbing veins of pain throughout her head. this happened from time to time, always with her hoping that maybe it won’t come back again. she’s always wrong. at least she knew she wasn’t psychic. it was odd having memories that physically seem to hurt you, the memory of her father magically carving and cutting away pieces of just that. memories. things she wouldn’t be allowed to keep if she was going to leave them. even those are faded at best, yet so breathtakingly painful that she would sometimes just writhe in her bed all night. scream into her pillows until her vocal cords couldn’t scream anymore.
between the blowing wind and the dancing songs of the trees she could breathe. silence. beautiful, simple silence. there were many things that violet could distract herself with. on these types of days, however, there was no distracting. only running till she couldn’t hear anything anymore. the scent of earth and decaying leaves surround and encase her. helping the ache melt and slip away, trying to gain a sense of self again.
not even flinching as she heard someone approach. maybe they wouldn’t notice her. her back against a large leaning tree, feet kicked out before her and book in hand. flipping the page and looking up at the voice. a small smirk, she wasn’t totally unhappy to see who was there. as least this was a real voice. “just trying to get back to nature, red. find a good place for a sacrifice. the usual.” shifting so she was sitting up just a little more, her voice tired and soft. “were you looking for alone time? i can leave? though, i’d be wary of that rock over there.” her nails were black with painted stars on them, pointing to a boulder. one that would look totally innocent to most. “i’m sensing some weird..energy about it.”
