Everything I read about recovering from burnout is like “it takes months or even years to fully recover” and it’s like okay…. I have a weekend before I gotta clock in on Monday

#it took me about six months to get over my most recent burnout #i’m finally creating again and reading and talking to strangers (which is tough for me already I’m terribly shy)#it takes so long and i’m trying to not burn out again #i also have illnesses and depression so i’m sure thise don’t help and it’s a cycle so maybe my burn out was just a long ‘i am so depressed’#maybe. getting excited for something helped. i made a whole ass costune in less that two weeks (like a moron)#but i also learned a lot and wanting to learn (to me) is a sign that I’m doing better #whether it’s burn out or depression or some mysterious third thing #six months is a long time to not want to learn #i know i’m going to have more ‘burn outs’ and such but i hope it doesn’t last six months again #it’s really hard. and I’m spilling some of my blood for strangers on the internet (and my sibling hello sibling)#but. yeah. recovering from anything is hard. just gotta keep trucking. remember the signs for the bad and the good #in the meantime i have a costume to finish by tomorrow morning and i have been learning a lot
