Unlike Mel and most of the other characters, I didn't model him after a specific kind of fish. I just wanted him to have spiky fins, idk why I just thought it suited him lol
First finished piece of 2026! Honestly not mad at how this turned out, especially for my first time drawing the golden girl herself β¨β¨β¨ I gave her a betta fish tail since they have very dramatic/flowy fins, I thought it would suit her. I have designs in mind for Elora, Kino, Ambessa, and LeBlanc as well, let's pray I find the motivation to get around to them haha

Mel and Viktor being close, either platonic or romantic, I donβt care, using the Sun and Moon dynamic.
Β Not in an angsty there is enough of that, and pitting these two against each other. Β
Viktor gets light from Mel, in the same way the moon does from the sun, and has her be someone he can talk to, just have that little happiness and not feel completely othered or annoyed.
I want Mel to have Viktor be someone who Mel allows Mel to take a break and not be front and center at all times, and just exist in her relaxed truest form, like the sun takes a break at night and the moon takes over.Β
