Please, PLEASE think about the concept of Jabber and Hyo dating. I need this. That is literally bad bitch x bad bitch.
While Hyo was living on the streets (pre-hellgaurd), she met Jabber (pre-Raiders), who came across her and challenged her to a fight. He admired how insanely strong she was, and somehow they just... kept finding each other after that. One fight turned into another, then into hanging out, and eventually they started dating.
Then Hyo got picked up and joined the Hellguard, while Jabber ended up with the Raiders. Somehow, neither of them ever learned where the other went. This spans to where we are currently in the manga.
Zanka is laid up in the Hellguard clinic after getting a hole shot through him. He's already spiraling because he just found out Enjin and his sister apparently had a situationship or some shit, and he's one devastating revelation away from self-destructing.
Then Hyo walks in. Someone sent her to check on them. Somehow, in the middle of the conversation, she casually mentions she's been searching for her boyfriend, Jabber. Zanka is immediately like, "...There's no fucking way." He asks her to repeat herself. He asks for confirmation. He learns about their history. And he just fucking stares.
He is ready to go crawling back into that well. Enjin, who heard everything. tries to comfort him. Zanka does not want to hear it (still feels betrayed about the sister thing).
Instead, he tells Hyo exactly what Jabber's been up to lately.
Queue Hyo immediately deciding she's going to track down her dumbass boyfriend and get him to stop whatever the fuck he's doing. She tries to convince him to stop, but if he doesn’t, she's like, "That’s on you, motherfucker. I’m not saving your ass if you get into deep shit. Good fucking luck. I’ll still date you, though."
