First time drawing a character Iâve specifically designed to be hot, and its making my head spin. Why do I wish for my own creation to step on me?
Danny hops skips across dimensions to escape his parents, and ends up in the Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Problem; in his universe, Jack Fenton is that universes version of Bruce Wayne. Jack and Bruce are identical from looks to DNA, but mentally they are worlds apart.
In Danny's universe, the Waynes dropped that name and became Fentons some three or four generations back.
So when a freshly vivisected Danny stumbles through a portal in the Zone and crash lands into the alley behind the Hospital, he is immediately recognized as a possible love child from Bruce Wayne, simply because he's a dead ringer for a teenage Bruce, and Leslie knows that family gets fucking weird.
Just to be sure, though, she tests it.
She leaves the room to check on Danny as she waits for the results, and one of the new interns steps in, and...oh? What's this?
Fresh food for the Newspapers? Food that they'd pay money for?
The intern takes the paperwork and bolts, and the next morning Bruce Wayne's lost secret child (who has been horrifically abused and mutilated poor boy maybe their next scoop will be an interview from him subscribe now to the newsletter and-) is all over the front page.
Bruce himself is furious.
The boy doesn't look like Damian, so he isn't a clone. As far as Bruce can tell, he's a bonafide child that Bruce had with a fling and was never told.
A child who got tortured.
Needless to say, when Danny wakes up from running away from his family to see his fathers pissed off face hovering over his own, his first reaction is to punch first and ask questions never.
He goes invisible as soon as he turns a corner that's out of camera view.
Now Danny has to figure out where he is and outrun not only his father, but the strange furry that keeps following him.

I need my weird alone time or I will explode

So Kato just ignores Father's pulling and burrows down into Father's stomach, because obviously he was gonna do that. Father wheezes.
Very silly.
"Kato!" Panthera calls, taking a step back and clapping her hands together. "Here, boy!"
Kato immediately goes limp on top of Father with an unhappy whine, flattening out on top of him like a blanket. He never likes to get up off Father, so she doesn't worry about him being bad. Kato's never bad; just sometimes he sulks a little. And also Father spoils him, Mother says, so Kato doesn't ever really think he has to get up off Father. And well, Father does spoil him, which Panthera thinks is okay. But also Kato is really super cute when he wants to cuddle, so Panthera understands.
They kind of do have to let Father up, though. Probably.
. . . well, Mother could just be in charge, really. But also Father's wheezing even worse now, so probably they should still let him up.
"Kato!" Panthera repeats firmly, clapping her hands again and then pointing down at the ground in front of herself. "Here, boy!"
Kato gives her a sulky, pouty look, then rolls over and kneads at Father's stomach as he curls up on top of him again. So he's very sulky about getting up off Father today.
Well, he usually is. And he hadn't seen Father at all yet today, either. So it's fine, Panthera decides.
"Oof," Father groans. "Kato, boy, please. I can't actually leave Tawna to run the whole kingdom without so much as a by your leave. She'll throw me to the reef. She'll throw me to the bats."
Kato just makes another grumbly noise and starts chewing on one of Father's spaulders. He only dents it a little. And this time he's not chewing on Father's crown, so he's being so good!
Panthera knew he'd be so good.

WIP excerpt for Aether56; âMatch needs to get some Pocketsâ. content notes: internalized dehumanization, past sexual abuse/grooming, past statutory rape, past sexual assault, mental conditioning, indoctrination, coerced partners, implied threat to life of minors, nonconsensual cloning. "Listen I don't know about you two, but I don't have time for 'pivoting' or whatever," Double retorts impatiently, folding his arms and tapping a foot in place against the floor in another rapid blur as he scowls at Echo and Shadow, then snaps his eyes to Match and scowls at him too. "Seriously, you'd better grifin' fall in love with me first out of the three of us, I'm already gonna have to wait the subjective longest here and I'm the only one with an actually confirmed alternate candidate on deck instead of just theoretical ones."
"Huh?" Echo says, and Double rolls his eyes.
"Again, Inertia is a thing that exists and really hates Impulse," he says. "Like a lot. So sprock if I'm giving him the chance to beat me to what's mine."
". . . meaning your mission objective," Shadow says after a moment's pause.
"Sure," Double says, but doesn't sound particularly convincing about it. Match doesn'tâisn'tâ
He doesn't understand anything about what he . . . feels, thinking that when Double had said "mine", he might've meant . . .
Match's frown deepens. Double looks at him and cocks his head, and Match isn't sure why, but he wondersâhow long did Double just spend looking at him?
He meansâsubjectively, how long did Double spend looking at him.
He doesn't know why he wonders that, though.
"You literally haven't even kissed him yet and you think he's gonna fall in love with you first?" Echo snorts.
"Mm?" Double blinks quickly, swiveling his head towards her instead, then just shrugs. "Naw, I'll just kiss him once he gets a Pocket for me. Gives him more concrete mission objectives to work with, y'know?"
"What the hell? How's that supposed to work?1" Echo demands incredulously.

"Okay," it says, then makes a face as it thinksâ"Do I have to make all of them learn it, though? 'Cuz all of them are really boring and really stupid and I don't want them getting all their boring stupidness all over my name."
"You do realize that this room contains enough of the world's top geneticists to both cure cancer and invent a new Black Plague, yes?" Luthor asks it dryly.
"Okay but they thought they could hide behind stuff when I was standing on the floor," it says dubiously. "So it'd be a really stupid Black Plague, I bet."
"Hm," Luthor says again, which isn't really an answer? So it keeps talking to make sure he gets it.
"Anyway I could make you way cooler stuff and I could do it without twenty-three other people," it reminds him huffily, floating up to eye level with him and folding its arms sullenly. "I could make you the best city ever, and the best pizza place and the best smoothie place, and I could totally get rid of all the people who are boring you, like theyâre all wasting your time so much and it's fucking rude of them, and also really stupid. They should know better, you're way cooler than them, like you're so cool they don't even deserve to talk to you."
"I really expected to find parenthood more disappointing," Luthor muses. Itâblinks, loosening the fold of its arms.
"Huh?" it says before its brain tells it what it knows. "What's a 'parenthoo'âoh. Weird. Weeeeeird. People do that? Likeâwhy?"
"Loathe as I am to be this cliche, apparently you will actually understand once you have one of your own," Luthor replies resignedly. Then he reaches up and pats the top of its head again, and it vibrates really hard about it.
Definitely it vibrates really hard about it.
"Okay," it says, then pauses and frowns again. ". . . wait. Does this mean you're my mom?"
". . . provide me with the logic that led you to that conclusion, please," Luthor says as he just barely arches an eyebrow.

"So like, do you body-slam everybody you hang out with or am I just special, pretty bird?" Superboy asks jokingly, and Tim nearly falls off the building with a squawk.
Not knowing what was going on in Superboy's head was so, so much more merciful.
DP x DC prompt #54
Danny wakes up one day with little to no memory, strange creatures on his shoulders feeding him basic knowledge, and in a pod. Maybe these 3 brightly clothed teenagers can tell him what's going on.
DP x DC prompt #118
Danny decides to take matters into his own hands and makes an appearance during a UN meeting. After warning them of their actions, Danny decides to do a show of strength before leaving. This show of strength consists of turning every person who has ever been touched by death, be it heart has stopped for a few seconds or near death experiences, eyes permanently bright toxic green, telling the UN that each if them is a member of his kingdom.

A once-in-a-lifetime shot â the moon perfectly framed by a rainbow. Caught at just the right time. đ đ
This man took so much longer to crack than I would have what a PROFESSIONAL
Plotting, scheming, etc.
This was filmed at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, which rescues, rehabilitates, and releases orphaned elephants in Kenya (among other conservation efforts). Charity Navigator has given it a 4/4 star rating, and you can make donations here or âadoptâ a baby elephant here.
okay, for those interested, here is a full timeline of how we got to Count Binface:
1977: Star Wars is released, featuring, of course, Darth Vader
(Pictured: Darth Vader)
1984: Director Todd Durham releases his Star Wars parody movie, Hyperspace, featuring Darth Vader inspired villain Lord Buckethead.
(Pictured: Hyperspace poster featuring two Jawa-esque aliens flying through space in a shopping trolley.)
1987: Hyperspace is released on video in the UK, under the new title Gremloids.
(Pictured: Gremloids cover in the style of the original Star Wars poster, featuring Lord Buckethead.)
To promote the film, Mike Lee, the owner of the distributing company, ran for parliament as Lord Buckethead. He ran in Margaret Thatcher's constituency, Finchley, in order to get on TV. Lord Buckethead was representing the Gremloids party.
(Pictured: Lord Buckethead on TV with Margaret Thatcher.)
1992: Gremloids is re-released. Lord Buckethead rides again, this time against prime minister John Major in Huntingdon. (Here's a fun fact about Huntingdon: I was born there! :D) 87/92 Buckethead seems to have leaned pretty hard into the space supervillain thing, with campaign promises including 'demolish Birmingham to build a spaceport'.
(Pictured: Lord Buckethead on TV with John Major. Other notable candidates include Screaming Lord Sutch of the Monster Raving Loony Party.)
2017: comedian Jon Harvey, having recently watched Gremloids and learned of Lord Buckethead's candidacy for parliament, decides it's a great bit. He runs against Theresa May in Maidenhead. 2017 Buckethead seems to have a wackier and also more political approach, with campaign promises ranging from nonsense like 'nationalise Adele' to gesturing at actually sensible policies with stuff like 'lower the voting age to 16 and restrict voting after age 80'.
He also made an appearance on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. As with his previous incarnation, he was a member of the Gremloids party.
(Pictured: Lord Buckethead dabbing on stage with Theresa May.)
2018: Director Todd Durham asserts his legal ownership of Lord Buckethead. Jon Harvey opted not to go to court over Buckethead and handed over the reins. Todd Durham extended an invitation to anyone who wanted to be the 'authorised' Lord Buckethead.
(Pictured: the new Lord Buckethead.)
2019: Lord Buckethead, now played by journalist David Hughes, stood against Boris Johnson in Uxbridge and South Ruislip. He ran for the Monster Raving Loony Party, the UK's pre-existing gag candidate party. He ran with a similarly silly manifesto as the 2017 incarnation, but with a bit less of a political edge. His promises included 'All doorways to be increased by 1 foot (30Â cm) in height' and 'Nigel Farage to be sold for parts'.
(Pictured: Lord Buckethead and Count Binface square up.)
Meanwhile, Jon Harvey in his new persona Count Binface, also ran against Boris Johnson. Buckethead and Binface face off! Binface ran as an independent with a manifesto once again blending silly and semi-serious promises such as 'nationalising model railways' and 'giving ÂŁ1 trillion a week to the NHS'. This was also I believe the debut of his promise to 'move the hand dryer in the men's toilet at Uxbridge's Crown and Treaty pub to a more sensible position'.
(Pictured: Count Binface presenting the offending hand dryer, inconveniently close to both the sink and the urinals.)
He has a point.
2021: Count Binface runs for the position of Mayor of London for the first time, with promises such as 'London to join the European Union'. He notably finished ahead of far right party UKIP.
2023: Count Binface runs in the Uxbridge and South Ruislip by-election following Boris Johnson's resignation. He once again gets more votes than UKIP.
May 2024: Count Binface once again runs to be Mayor of London, debuting his now iconic 'build at least one affordable house' promise. Notably, he finished ahead of far right party Britain First.
(Pictured: Count Binface with Rishi Sunak. Also pictured: Monster Raving Loony Party candidate Sir Archibald Stanton with a ventriloquist's dummy.)
July 2024: Count Binface stands in the general election, running in Richmond and Northallerton against prime minister Rishi Sunak. He debuts his promise to cap the price of 99p flakes at 99p. This is his most successful election to date with 308 votes.
(Pictured: Count Binface with Andy Burnham. Also pictured: independent candidate Robert Pownell, dressed as a fox for his own reasons.)
June 2026: Count Binface stands in the Makerfield by-election against Andy Burnham, (recently) former Mayor of Manchester running for parliament with the intention of standing in the Labour Party leadership contest.
(Pictured: Count Binface on BBC's Newsnight.)
July 2026 (this week): Count Binface announces his intention to run against Nigel Farage in the upcoming Clacton by-election. He is briefly the only other candidate in the race and by the time other candidates announce themselves the narrative of 'Nigel Farage vs Count Binface' has already bedded in. And then it was now, and then I don't know what happened.
I've made this post like six times but it still fucks me up the China's mountains just look like that. Like I spent decades thinking it was stylistic but no, they just have different mountains over there.
For reference, here's what my local mountains look like:
Here's the general art style Chinese mountains are drawn in:
And here's how some of them actually look:
What the FUCK
Iâm specifically reblogging this here because I know there is a geological reason for this and I know at least one of you has to know it.
thank youÂ
Letâs jack up Florida a mile so that instead of forming sinkholes it does this!
Hereâs another karst formation youâve probably seen:

Hereâs some in Madagascar.

Karst is also responsible for most cave formations, from stalactites and stalagmites to cenotes in the Yucatan:

Chinaâs probably got the best of both, though.
