he’d only stopped in for a quick bite, but to be honest he didn’t think it was going to be quick at all. he’d been there for about twenty minutes when he saw her. she seemed to have been looking at her watch for awhile and he could tell that someone was supposed to have been meeting her but they had decided to stand her up instead. he felt guilt rise in his chest, even if she didn’t know who he was..no one deserved this. once the waiter walked back to the back of the restaurant seongyoon stood and walked over to her table, sliding into the seat across from her with a smile. “hey just..go with it. I can tell someone stood you up and since i’m already eating alone anyway, we might as well eat together.”

there was something that amaya couldn’t understand about that demon, and it was why exactly he was going to help her? sure, she would owe him some kind of favor, but what could a demon possibly need from women to do that kind of exchange with them? yet, she didn’t dare to ask him because maybe this was just some kind of game for him after all. sometimes, people did things without having ulterior motives, right? “seojoon? it’s nice to meet you.” she said bowing her head respectfully to him before meeting his eyes once again. “i’m okay with it, however, i have one condition. because i know that most likely you will fade after all this. so before you poof away, is it okay to ask you to at least, say goodbye to me?” the mermaid asked him without hesitation. if she was going to give away her innocence, at least it should be someone who wouldn’t disappear without a word.
he listened to her request, tiling his head to the side as he waited. this was a..particularly weird request. usually they wanted him to just get it over with and end it, they didn’t want him to say goodbye. but even if it was a weird request, it was request after all. and she’d spent so much time with humans that it was obvious she was going to pick up on a few of their weird requests, so who was he to say no? It’s not like it was the most impossible thing in the world to do. “alright amaya, if you want me to say goodbye before I just leave into the void then I will say goodboye. I am a gentleman after all.” he said with a small smile. “i’m not a bad guy after all, so your request is one I will do.”

aya was sitting in the chair, her drama script was in her lap and she was opposite to her partner for the script reading which was already over. she didn’t know who he was or where he came from, but one thing was sure, he got the role, not because of an audition so she didn’t know how it would be to act with him. the new drama role she had accepted was something that the fairy had always wanted to do, it was a different take on the trope, witch marries human without revealing the truth to him about it. a soft and friendly smile formed on her lips as she met his gaze. “i hope we can work well together. if there is anything i can help you with, please let me know.” and then the producer started speaking. “i think it would be great advertisement for the drama if you two went out in public together for dinner and what not, it will get people talking about it too.”
the fairy turned her attention to the producer when he spoke but then back to her co-star. “are you okay with that?”
hyunsik wasn’t like most actors. he had no experience and no background when it came to acting, but when he he walked into the audition he passed because he ‘looked the part’ according to the casting director. he wasn’t a bad actor, in fact he had a natural gift for it without even having to try, but he was still nervous. he had been re-reading the script to himself, wanting to get all the lines down before he had to start filming when he looked up at her. his co-star, she was lovely. she seemed nice and she managed to make anyone smile around her, so of course he was staring at her when she looked up and starred at him. “i hope we work well together too. i’ll be sure to take you up on that offer someday.” he said with a smile. he turned his attention to the producer when he heard he spoke, his eyes widening at the request. out in public? together?

“oh please it’s not uncommon but it’s not like people hear that name on a daily basis unless that’s their actual name.” he said, crossing his arms and leaning against the counter. “I understand you wanting to ‘protect your territory’ but until this living situation is resolved then we need to learn to play nice. i’ll be exhausted using all my energy to fight with you and i honestly have better things to do in my life.” he walked over to her until he was standing immediately in front of her, reaching forward and running his fingers across her cheek. “I know that I know you, and it’s hard to forget an unforgettable night with me so i’m guessing that you also know who I am.” he paused, a smile spreading across his face. “so if you ever want to continue what we had, you just let me know, and i’ll be happy to oblige.” he said quickly, reaching around her and grabbing an apple off the counter. “i’m going to go unpack if you need me.”

jungwoo laughed, completely in agreement with her words. “it’s funny that you say that,” he noted, face scrunching up playfully. “because you’re tired and need rest?” he pointed out, shaking his head. she really was superwoman. it was crazy how much more she did compared to him. “of course,” he nodded as he moved to the cabinets, grabbing two bowls and then a larger one in case there was any extra.
he helped carry his bowl over to the table as he sat down. “geez,” he noted, setting the bowl down so that he could get comfortable before he thanked her for handing it to him again. “finish eating first,” he laughed, thinking that she really did try to do too many things at once. “but yes, cuddles. do you think i can stay over tonight? will it be suspicious?”
“well i’m always tired and need rest, so cooking wont change that.” she said with a smile. both of their schedules meant they were exhausted, and there was barely a moment where she wasn’t sleep deprived and in need of a pillow and a bed, but she still was going to go above and beyond for him. “alright alright, i’ll finish eating first.” she laughed, taking a bite of her food before turning her attention back to him. “it’ll only be suspicious if you get caught, but I say you should stay the night.” she smiled playfully.
once she finished her bowl she set it aside and leaned back into the couch with a sigh. “this is the first time in about a month i’ve just gotten to stop and relax. and i’m really happy that it’s with you.” she said, leaning against him.
