back in high school when I was 16 (8yrs ago) I attempted to trust my ex mother. I had known better but I was struggling mentally to the point I failed math. Earlier that year I experienced what can only be described as a hate crime (because that’s what it was). That unfortunately brought back repressed memories that I was not able to cope with healthy and brought on a deep depression. Which meant a class I was already ass at was infinitely harder… oops. And so when she confronted me yelling and screaming in my face about why I failed I broke down.

I use to try and sit as far back in the tub as I could because anytime it got “cold” she’d add more hot water. It would be so hot that my skin would be bright red the whole time. I’d beg her to add colder water and to leave out the bath salts every time she was drawing a bath, she’d just look at me and add even more salt. I would sit there holding back tears as she watched me the whole time, always making sure I was in the water. The more I complained about the stinging burning pain the longer she made me stay. I never wanted him to touch me or do what he did, she didn’t either. But instead of stopping him, she took out her disgust and hatred on me.
