the hockey coach is heading the meth business based on daunis' observation of his new and expensive kitchen appliances.
levi is in 👏 on 👏 it 👏
probably most of his friends too.
I can't tell exactly where the tj stuff is going. daunis is so insistent he's a liar that there simply must be more going on, but I can't imagine he'll end up redeemed if she's supposed to be with jamie. maybe he'll be redeemed and then die as part of the final bust?
I kind of think dana didn't steal daunis' dad. idk, there's just something fishy there, and daunis' racist family has to have more secrets going on.

THE worst part of the end of mistborn era one for me is that tensoon spent the whole book doing everything in his power to come back to vin and never even saw her again.
he rose against his kind, he fought, and he tried, and in the end he died so he wouldn't hurt her. i just. i fucking can't.
"Average planet in the Cosmere gets moved around at least once in its lifetime" factoid is actually a statistical error. Scadrial, which keeps getting moved by its dumbass inhabitants the moment they touch a shard, is a statistical outlier and should not have been counted-

although to be fair the ending did open the door for the possibility of endless metals, since that's essentially what rashek was implied to be doing.
and does the eleventh metal even do anything or is kelsier full on bluffing lmao
it does do something... although I find it a bit unlikely that it was essential for figuring out the secret and killing him. and where the FUCK did kelsier hear legends about it
are the epigraphs by/about the lord ruler and his journey to ascension
answered ✅
my favorite part of the book, actually!!
what the hell is a keeper
answered ✅
what do mistwraiths do for noblemen specifically and what are they about in general
so not mistwraiths, kandra. I can't say this is exactly answered since their whole deal is still shrouded in mystery to me
what did the throwaway comment about lord renoux being "one of those" mean
but that one is answered ✅
was kelsier's wife the traitor
justice for mare!!! ✅ (it's funny that I asked this before knowing she was the main suspect, and then came full circle to clearing her name).

NEW LIST!
TWoA unresolved questions, a fourth of the way through:
does the twelfth metal actually only flare the other ones extra hard?? kinda mellow tbfh
what the fuck is going on with the fucking mist creatures
please let vin become friends with her slave slash dog 🙏 (I unfortunately spoiled myself and discovered he's the imposter)
but really, what's the deal with kandras. how did that species evolve, why are they contracted to humans, what's up with their shit
speaking of which. what is UP with inquisitors. how are they made. how does their magic work. is marsh still all there.
not a question but marsh and sazed are giving serious homo vibes. just saying
please god give me the strength to finish this series 🙏
TWoA answers and pre-THoA questions here we go
does the twelfth metal actually only flare the other ones extra hard?? kinda mellow tbfh
unfortunately... yeah looks like it. okay and also I guess the weird side effect on kandras and kollos, but it hasn't been explained enough to satisfy me
what the fuck is going on with the fucking mist creatures
good question past me
please let vin become friends with her slave slash dog 🙏 (I unfortunately spoiled myself and discovered he's the imposter)
still waiting 😭😭😭 come back tensoon my son
but really, what's the deal with kandras. how did that species evolve, why are they contracted to humans, what's up with their shit
will give it a like, 6/10 answer ✅❌ since we do know SOME of the lore at last
speaking of which. what is UP with inquisitors. how are they made. how does their magic work. is marsh still all there.
marsh is, in fact, not all there lmao
but no further info unfortunately
not a question but marsh and sazed are giving serious homo vibes. just saying
could still happen! in a better universe obviously, since I'm ngl, marsh is giving serious will-be-dead-soon vibes
what or who is the deepness
come ONNN give me SOMETHING more than killer mists
are the plants ever going to be green again
one can only hope.
and since I got practically zero answers from book 2... 🫠
WHAT is up with inquisitors and their powers and why did they turn crazy(-ier) after the lord ruler die and why did marsh flip
is zane's madness related to vin's mother's madness? why did they both hear voices? what really happened when she killed vin's sister?
how will vin's One Earring finally play into the plot
how are kandra and mistwraiths really connected
are there more metals?
how and why exactly was allomancy created? that weird disc is not an explanation
why can vin pull on the mists / see beyond copperclouds and WHEN will she learn to control metals inside bodies
what is the mist spirit (whom presumably stabbed alendi's friend for the exact reasons it stabbed elend, meaning it's not malicious?)
where is the atiummm
editing like, 60% into the book just to add this in case I forget:
what made the mists start appearing during the day and killing? it was before ruin was released, so couldn't be that
WHAT is up with inquisitors and their powers and why did they turn crazy(-ier) after the lord ruler die and why did marsh flip

and boy howdy was hemarlugy so much more interesting than the other two metal arts, I feel cheated

answered ✅
also, I feel vindicated clocking this. not as early as I could have, but early enough for this fucking series
how will vin's One Earring finally play into the plot
I WIN. I WINNNNNN. FINALLY ONE GOOD GUESS ✅
I have also, at around the 50-60% mark, guessed the earring functions as a spike and its implications on using the mists, so I double win
how are kandra and mistwraiths really connected
answered ✅
best plotline. tensoon my beloved
are there more metals?
sort of answered........ may go and look for further info
how and why exactly was allomancy created? that weird disc is not an explanation
honestly, the least satisfying explanation of all of the lore, but I guess I'll take it.
why can vin pull on the mists / see beyond copperclouds and WHEN will she learn to control metals inside bodies

this was actually never answered, I don't think. I can make some guesses (preparations for the return of power to the well?), but it wasn't addressed directly
who's writing the epigraphs? ordered by most likely to unhinged
vin. "I am, unfortunately, the hero of ages". most obvious guess. text has knowledge of what happened in the well of ascension that would require being there. is the only main character currently occupied with the lore of ruin. however: it's too obviously her; the writing style is not giving street urchin who barely reads; in some of the retellings of the well the pronoun used is "WE" released ruin, not I released ruin; and, crucially, the text has some information about legends that she's unlikely to have.
sazed. is the next most likely character to recount the tale and explain the lore. was also at the well and has most of the details. could, conceivably, be the real hero in prophecies unaltered by ruin.
I would then say elend, or even kelsier, but they're referred to in the third person in the text.
marsh. was ALSO at the well of ascension, though to be fair shouldn't have the details of what happened to vin and elend. has access to knowledge and powers that none of the others have, which could maybe give him the opportunity to defeat ruin and be the hero. but honestly, would probably be dead before writing a journal about it
this epigraph proves the narrator is borderline omniscient, so:
either an actual god is writing it, which seems somewhat unlikely - both ruin and preservation are talked about in the third person, and I don't think a third god is joining the game;
or: a character gets the power of the well / power of preservation / power of A God somehow, and becomes all knowing as a result;
or: a character is telling these epigraphs after their death, which is somehow making them all knowing
I'm 80 pages from the very ending of the mistborn trilogy 💔
final final final guesses of things I think will be happening in these 80 pages:
vin - dead. will sacrifice herself to save the world. last I saw her she absorbed the entire world's mists into her body, so I assume that's terminal in some way. her death will either be caused by, or lead to, the restoration of preservation and defeat of ruin. also, crazy guess, but I feel like there's going to be an affect on allomancy as a whole - like, either everyone will become mistborn/stronger allomancers or allomancy will disappear entirely.
elend - also dead. of this I'm CERTAIN. will sacrifice himself to help vin or at least die trying. I'm pretty sure spook will inherit him, but it could also be yomen.
sazed - alive (😬🙏🫣). probably the one writing the epigraphs? possibly dictating it to new keepers so they can record the events of the trilogy into their metalminds. hopefully will lead the terris people in some way, teaching them their own religion and reuniting them with the kandra.
breeze - alive, retired?? or maybe still ruling urteau, much to his disgruntlement lmao. he should be having kids in my opinion. if we had to include the age gap b-plot, at least produce some babies out of it.
spook - most definitely alive, most likely in a position of power of some kind. will marry beldre. he's certainly having kids, although I'm not sure it will be mentioned on page.
ham - dear god let this man return to his wife and children. this has been going on for sooooo long, that poor woman. if he dies whar?? was even??? the point????
human the kollos has not yet reappeared, which means he still has a role to play. hopefully sweeping in to save the day.
and if the plants aren't green again, I'm fucking rioting. !!!.

okay but what IF. the mists are only infecting those who believe in vin as the hero of ages?
because: skaa in urteau aren't afraid of the mists as it's not killing them; unlike luthadel, they only believe in kelsier, not vin. out of the main characters, only demoux was infected; the others don't believe in the legends/don't think of vin as a religious figure. it would make sense that the mists are killing by ruin's hand, and ruin's direct opponent is vin, so it wants to kill off the belief in her...? also, the mists started killing around the time vin started feeling the mists hate her, but maybe the two are not cause and effect in one direction but cause and effect in the other.
this, of course, does not explain the mysterious 16-based statistic. that I assumed to be linked to 16 metals somehow (not sure we KNOW of 16 metals yet, but that's my guess).
