my life would be so much easier if i didnt care about vanny because people who dont care to know about her character are frustratingly wrong about it. and it makes me insane.

I've always took Michael saying that Vanessa was "always so selective with the truth" in that Vanessa had always known about the murders as a child, as she was used as bait or a cover for William. And Michael wasn't. In Michael's eyes, Vanessa and William had a very close relationship that he was jealous of, but it was only ever to be his tool. Vanessa never told Michael about what William was doing because she wanted to protect him. She never wanted him to bear the same burden she had to bear. But Michael was not grateful. He only ever resented that Vanessa was able to be close to William. No matter how horrible that closeness actually was.
