This has been on my mind for a bit. This is going to a long one, so buckle up.
Langdon. Langdon in season 1, was an addict, we know this as Iβm going to assume most people watching this have at least watched season 1 of the Pitt, now Robbys handling of the situation was terrible, he showed little to no sympathy for him.
βOh but Ren! Langdon was stealing from the hospital! Robby had every right to be mad!β Absolutely, I agree, Robby had a right to be mad, but showing no sympathy or showing no support for Langdon? Thatβs straight up shitty, it was clearly shown how close Robby and Langdon are, as Langdon is Robbyβs best doctor and close friend, Robby as his friend shouldβve shown proper support for Langdon, Langdon didnβt become an addict out of the blue, he even said himself that the pain meds prescribed to him for his chronic pain got him addicted, which is not his fault, in fact that is how addiction starts, sure Langdon shouldβve reached out for help, shouldβve come to Robby, but saying
βI have an addictionβ isnβt easy, you get scared, nervous, embarrassed, etc, which is why Langdon took benzos to βovercomeβ it, he thought he could do it alone, and with the way Robby reacted to it, I donβt blame Langdon for not telling Robby, because of Robbyβs reaction, instead of support, instead of
βLetβs get you helpβ in a more comforting manner, he just blows up on him, Iβm not saying Langdon is 100% right and is a saint, Iβm saying, if someone has an addiction, like Langdon, they have the right for proper support/comfort, not to be berated, or excluded out of their own job? Especially with someone as skilled as Langdon, and once again I am not saying Langdon is a saint, but I will absolutely defend him, because in season 2 he was genuinely trying his best, any way he could, he even apologized, explained to Louie that he was the one who took his meds and apologized for that, Langdon isnβt a bad person, heβs just an addict whoβs trying to recover, heβs not a villain, heβs saved countless of lives, the only one who showed support and comfort to Mel, a doctor who admitted he took a patients meds to that patient and apologized, apologized to Dana, and Robby.
