It is quite literally almost every single one. Of the recent appearances, barring Ada, Shen-Mei, & Wesker*, I think pretty much everyone else does have blue eyes. This is part of why I'm really hoping they give Chris his brown eyes back in CVR because I'm tired man. They all have the same eye color, they all have the same body types, the lack of diversity across the board in these games is just becoming more and more ridiculous & unrealistic.

i know youve already kinda made a post about his mentality going into re2 and the kinda identity enmeshment hes got going on with himself and his role as a police officer. i always attributed his naivety in re2 as just him likely being pretty sheltered (isolated?) from the realities of the world and that his black and white thinking has grayed out over time, but in reality its just made the divide more stark :(

This is part of why I would love to know his backstory and what was up with his childhood in the remake canon and more details on how he was raised because its hard to discern if that nativity comes from being sheltered or if its just, to put it bluntly, complete delusion. I think his relationship with Ada in 2R is the best point-of-reference for this because it seems obvious to me that any other adult in that situation, especially one with cop training, would be questioning why a single FBI agent got sent to such a wide-spread disaster and why she's dressed like that. So I'm not necessarily certain Leon was just naive enough to take her at her word, I think its a bit more complex than that. I've made a post about it before, but based on how he acts in 2R, the way it reads to me is that on some level, I'm sure he was probably somewhat aware that she was incredibly suspicious but if she was an FBI agent that would mean she'd outrank him and she would be the one calling the shots, so Leon could let her take responsibility for that, or at least share some of that responsibility. I do very much believe that obsession he had with the chain of command was a coping mechanism because he was (understandably) incredibly overwhelmed so he wanted to fall back on that for stability.

But in terms of the 'black and white' thinking aspect, its a cognitive distortion tied to PTSD. Trauma that are extreme enough to cause PTSD have the effect of kinda 'rewiring' the brain in a way, which often leads to what we call amygdala hijacking. On a neurological level, your PFC is the 'logic center' of your brain whereas the amygdala acts as sort of an alarm system; with amygdala hijacking as a result of trauma/PTSD, the amygdala can become hyperactive while the PFC becomes underactive so the panic signals from the amygdala override the logic, which can then lead to these kinds of cognitive distortions as a sort of 'failsafe' or survival mechanism.
