Remembered seeing someone say that the procreate hb pencil sorta does all (colouring, shading, edge control) and wanted to try that for myself. The sketch is a different brush

Also wanted to try defining edges through colour and not line and add those little scratches which turned out super great

okok so some context for the above doodle ;;

blaster, as a cogless carrier bot with no cassettes, sometimes experiences flares of pain in his spark. his spark is intended to support cassette bonds, but without those bonds it's unstable. given that at this point, none of the miners really know what cassettes are, all they can do for blaster is offer him a shoulder to lean on when he needs it. physical contact with others doesn't make the pain go away, per se, but it makes it a little easier to endure. smokescreen, by nature of being a part of blaster's mining team, is often the anchor that blaster holds onto during these moments
