Utterly Incompetech

I mean, I didn’t hear of it until my 20s. Multiple times I’ve seen plenty of proof that it has existed throughout history, but I never heard of it in spite of all the terms I looked up in college. It’s rarely talked about, in spite of being real. That seems pretty exclusionist to me.

I see people on here send asexuals hate, and send me hate for supporting them, and that seems pretty exclusionist to me. I don’t see that happen to allies, ever.

I see people judged and called freaks for their lack of interest in sex. I don’t see that happen to straight allies. No one is oppressed for being straight, but asexuals are told “just try it” if they’re sex repulsed or “so you’re interested in sex?” If they’re , say, demi. They’re constantly policed and told that they don’t have a real sexuality. That seems pretty exclusionist to me.

I’m not asexual. I identify as pansexual because gender doesn’t matter to me in the equation of if I’m attracted to someone. But I can easily recognize that asexuality isn’t some new Tumblr trend. I can also recognize that they are not sexually attracted to the opposite gender, as a heterosexual person would be. And I am very tired of the discourse on this website that I don’t see much of in the real world, but that negatively effects people on here who may have nowhere else to be out.

u support Autism Speaks or organizations like it

u “feel bad” for ppl with autism and their families

u think autistic children are a burden to their parents/guardians
