She pinned him in the morning light, straddling his waist, fingers curling in his hair. “I’ve got you now, Mr. Parkinson.”

He laughed against her jaw. “I’m not taking your name, Pansy.”

She caught his lip in her teeth, a wicked gleam in her eyes. “Is that a challenge?”

~~”Together they watched Albus launch his broom and take off to join his mother and brother a safe distance off the ground. Harry's attention was on his family and Hermione's was on Scorpius and Draco, who showed his son how to mount the toy broom by mounting his own. And if her stomach tightened when he took his first flight, Harry only noticed when she tensed and he tightened his grip.

Scorpius took to flying like birds taking off from their nest. There was an ease about him as he flew around Draco, and even from where she was sitting, Hermione could see just how proud he was. His smirk slowly became a smile as he tracked Scorpius through the sky.

A real one that struck her like a bolt of lightning in darkness.

Hermione's heart hesitated when Draco encouraged him to fly higher.

But, as Scorpius rose, she helplessly fell harder.”
