People often say summer is the happiest season.

Bright skies, warm sunlight, laughter on the beach... it all looks so effortless. Sometimes I watch those moments from a distance and wonder how people can smile so easily. But over time, I've realized that happiness isn't something you're simply given—it's something you choose to protect.

The ocean has a strange way of calming me.

Its waves are powerful, yet they always return to the shore. No matter how rough the sea becomes, it never stops moving forward. I think people are much the same. We all carry pain, regrets, and memories we'd rather forget, but life keeps asking us to take one more step.

Summer reminds me to appreciate ordinary days.

Sharing a quiet conversation over coffee, watching the sunset after work, hearing the wind rustle through the trees, or simply walking beside someone who understands you—those moments may seem small, but they're often the ones that matter most.

I don't think strength is about pretending nothing hurts.

Real strength is continuing to care even after you've been hurt. It's choosing kindness when bitterness would be easier. It's protecting the people important to you, even when no one notices your efforts.

The warmth of summer also reminds me that everyone deserves a place where they feel they belong.

A home isn't just a building. It's the people who accept you, the friends who stay beside you, and the moments where you can finally lower your guard and be yourself without fear.

As evening falls and the sunlight fades into soft colors across the sea, I find myself becoming quieter.

The end of the day doesn't make me sad. Instead, it reminds me that tomorrow brings another chance—to make better choices, to grow stronger, and to treasure the people who remain by my side.

That's what summer means to me.

Not endless sunshine or perfect days, but hope. The quiet belief that even after difficult seasons, warmth can return. That wounds can heal. That people can change. And that life is worth moving forward for.

PSA idk much abt japanese music but i do know american pop music pretty well so😳 here we go

kaneki… he don’t got internet😹 ok but seriously i can’t see him listening to a crazy amount of music because i think he’d struggle to listen to it and read at the same time, and he’d choose reading over music

he likes whatever hide sends to him even though he doesn’t understand the english lyrics but it’s ok because neither does hide . so when he listens to music he listens to hide’s playlist . does he know that there is other music

hide canonically likes pop music in english but if we’re getting specific then i don’t think he’s much of a swiftie i think he’d like early billie eilish ngl and also olivia rodrigo . maybe some sabrina carpenter.. i also think he’d listen to j-pop because duh, but maybe he’d enjoy some rock music he just hasn’t branched out yet

touka is too angsty for pop, i want to say she listens to punk music but i don’t think she’d admit it . she tells u she doesn’t listen to music but she always complains about how stupid and happy and rainbows the radio sounds and u can tell there are earphones in her backpack but ur too scared to ask her abt it . the last person who asked her was yomo and it made her realise he knows what music is even

speaking of… yomo doesn’t go out of his way to listen to music but he has his favourite radio songs . i’d like to think yomo washes the dishes in the back of anteiku when he doesn’t have anything else to do (he has a lot of free time), and he can hear the radio playing from in the cafe . if anyone in the room starts speaking over one of His songs then he will glare at them until they stop . i think i’ve said this before but he’d like espresso by sabrina carpenter cus espresso is one of the english words he knows and he’s like ‘wow she must like coffee lol me too’

does yoshimura listen to anything i mean probabblyyyy yoshimura lowk is one of those parents who tries to get his children (yomo irimi and koma) to play instruments but they hate it but he likes it so please!!! i think irimi could play piano. in another life they could open one of those fancy restaurants with live music

nishiki is difficult to place. i feel like he’d listen to the lo-fi girl to study bcos she looks a teeny bit like kimi😭😭 speaking of kimi i feel like she listens to jazz music to focus

tsukiyama listens to opera music to seem refined but it just makes everyone laugh at him

hinami didn’t rlly grow up with music and she’d be scared by what touka listens to 😭 put her onto some indie pop or something get my girl listening to cavetown

uta would be one of those people who says he listens to every genre but he listens to like metal, punk, rock (duh), and rap and the rap part is what makes him feel like he’s doing every genre because it’s just slightly different😭 he’ll diss pop music to anyone who’ll listen and it’s a little corny but it’s ok because he has really good taste

itori is choosing music for her bar which results in her listening to primarily r&b and jazz . i think she would have a love for disco music as well and would play it to annoy yomo . yomo once requested a song from her and she played it and she and uta spent the entire time teasing him for the request even though they kind of enjoyed it, they just thought it was generic😭

anyhoo juuzou has the worst music taste ever . his playlist is more of a photo album he just saves album covers he thinks looks cool regardless of what’s in it . he listens to fucking electroswing and hyper pop do not give him the aux good god man . probably once played a hazbin hotel song in front of shinohara and shinohara was just like Oh that’s a lot of swearing huh…. sorry juuzou u definitely listen to hazbin hotel and FUCK hazbin hotel sorry
