we love a good Momcifer, so we're getting a Momcifer and little bit of the others.

Lucifer has a bunch of fidget toys in his desk for Mc, they were already there for Leviathan (and himself which he denies) but now there are more.

Lucifer only remembers to eat because he needs to remind Mc to eat. No one remembers water.

Mc needs a quiet space for homework? His office. They need noise and a little clutter or else the vibes are off? Technically also his office, he has records for noise and some papers that can sit on the corner of the table to create clutter.

Diavolo even lets you pilfer all of the pillow mints and tiny shampoos. He calls it compensation for having to share a room with him, as all of the adjacent suites sell out fast. Or, so he says.

The only thing that bugs you is etiquette. You never quite know how to act in certain situations, or how to publicly bring something to the prince's attention when there's something important to say.

"Lord Diavolo," you say, hesitantly interrupting his discussion with a delegation of noble vampires.

"Yes? Why so formal? You are not one of my denizens," he reminds you. "You know you can drop the title."

You hesitate before you address him again. "Diavolo."

He appears delighted when he replies, "Yes?"

"It's not that I dislike it, but, uh... I'm worried for your public image if you keep patting me like this."

"Hm?"

With only one arm needed for firm handshakes, Diavolo's other hand naturally drifted to your head, where he kept giving you plenty of headpats.

You don't think the prince is conscious of it. It's a habit he forgets to shake when the two of you aren't alone, and a habit that makes your hair all messy. You look more like a pet than an official representative of the human world.

Mc: Okay, let’s go over a couple of things.

Lucifer: Is that why you called us here?

Mc: *smiling* I can jump.

Mammon: Obviously?

Mc: I can’t jump from a height of 10 meters.

The brothers: .…

Mc: I can stay up all night, go without sleep for a night.

Asmo: I think I know where this is going…

Mc: I can’t go more than 72 hours without sleep.

Levi: Ha, ha, ha…*looking down*

Mc: I *pointing at themself* can eat spicy food.

Beel: …

Mc: I can’t eat things that are as hot as lava.

Satan: I think we get the idea.

Mc: I can give bear hugs.

Belphie: … Damn.

Mc: I *taking a breath before slamming the fist on the table* can’t stand bear hugs from creatures with the strength of a hydraulic press!!!!!!!

The Brothers: ...

Mc: If you want me to survive this year, you’d better remember those couple of things!!!!

Diavolo: Ah *very embarrassed* that’s why I’m here too….

Lucifer believes in the importance of making eye contact with anyone you're conversing with, so when he first notices that you seem to avoid his gaze, he's a bit irked.

Was it because of him? He's aware that his eyes tend to always look a bit ... intense. Does he look that scary to you?

But then he notices in your interactions with his brothers (along with others) that you try your best to not make eye contact with any of them.

He feels a bit relieved when he realizes that you're that way with everyone, not just him.

In a way, it's a good thing. This was the Devildom, where making particular eye contact with the wrong demon can get you charmed, mauled, or killed. Sometimes in that order.

The less likely you were to make that kind of eye contact, the less likely he'd have to worry about you getting into a violent situation.

Lucifer will broach the topic one day, perhaps while the two of you are sharing tea or enjoying one of his records in the music room.

He'll ask if you're comfortable talking about it, and if you are, he'll listen to whatever you have to say. If not, he'll drop the subject.

If you do decide to share your feelings about eye contact, he'll ask if there's anything he can do to help you feel more comfortable -- whether that be to get more comfortable with eye contact itself, or learning other body language cues that you prefer.

There are demons with a variety of anatomies, along with different cultural practices, so Lucifer is accustomed to learning various ways to communicate with others.

After all, it was difficult to make simple eye contact with a demon that had a hundred eyes, or no eyes at all.

Author’s Notes: In honor of Lucifer’s birthday and the new visual novel thought it would be cool to write this!

Synopsis: They say old habits die hard, who knew it could stick through reincarnation.

Lucifer could trust you as far as he could throw you the moment you two first met at the start of the exchange program, and he is known as the strongest brother for a reason. The fact you so easily won over his brothers without offering up your soul added more reason for Lucifer to up his guard around you as well as your never ending curiosity and meddling. Yet over time, as Lucifer observes you he started to see some…particularities within you.

Extremely familiar particularities.

The same ones a soul he once had affections for had. The way they secured a pen or pencil behind their ear as you do, bounce on their heels as you do, singing a song to fill the silence as they would do. But that soul is now gone, the soul that Lucifer had grown fond of, the one that was chosen to judge him when he fell from heaven, just a blip in his immortal life if Lucifer was honest, but one of his favorites.
