Sun-moon opposition - I discussed this in depth when it was in Hikaru's chart but it's the same theme of who she is being at odds with what she needs emotionally. The sun in Sagittarius wants the freedom to explore and find meaning without always having the right answer, but the moon in Gemini wants details, data, and accuracy. The latter doesn't sound like Ai on the surface, but you can see the survival pattern in the way she focuses on doing what is expected of her instead of acting from a place of Sagittarius authenticity and freedom. Gemini has the unique ability to shapeshift and adapt their personality based on who they're with and Ai has spent time observing what people respond well to, incorporating that into her idol persona. It also comes with being somewhat scattered as a side effect. Remember when Ai gave the birthday DVDs to Gotanda because she said she'd definitely lose them if she held on to them? Yeah.
Sun conjunct Venus/Moon opposite Venus - The former gives the blessing of natural charisma, beauty, and creativity. People are drawn to them and they have lots of admirers, but it tends to be surface level. The latter creates a mismatch between emotional needs and relational desires, causing confusion and feeling unfulfilled in relationships. This hits even harder because she also has Saturn opposing Venus meaning love often feels out of reach. People with this placement usually grew up feeling like they had to earn love and by consequence, choose emotionally unavailable partners. They may also struggle with fears of vulnerability themselves or like they're not good enough to be loved.
Sun opposite Saturn/Moon conjunct Saturn - This one really stings. She has a lot of emotional control and discipline (moon/saturn) but it comes at the expense of her consistently bottling up her emotions, hiding her pain, and difficulty accepting comfort/expressing the need for comfort. People with this aspect often parent themselves because their own parents weren't there for them. As mentioned in other posts Saturn is the planet of restrictions, and when placed in hard aspect to the sun it manifests as not feeling like you're able to be yourself because of your responsibilities, reputation, or an authority figure getting in the way. The opposition being in the 10th vs 4th house really drives home that who she is in public is different from her private emotional world. One of the most troubling aspects of Ai's character is that she is chained to her idol persona and unable to show people the real her. The tension between her public persona, who she really is, and what she needs to feel safe are also further highlighted in the Ascendant squares to her sun/moon/venus/saturn.
Jupiter in the 5th/Venus in the 10th - I mentioned this in Hikaru's chart too but the 10th house stellium with Venus is indicative of someone meant to have a strong public image along with connections to entertainment/show business (further cemented by the North Node in Leo the sign of pride and showmanship). Jupiter in the 5th further expands her creative talents and is also highly auspicious for having children (especially in Cancer, the sign that values family and is exalted in Jupiter). Another thing about Jupiter in traditional astrology is it predicts the husband in the woman's chart. While Hikaru wasn't her husband, he did have a Cancer stellium and strong 5th house (Leo) influence.
There's plenty more to unpack (she has a strong Lilith signature like Hikaru as well) but I'll stop here. Hika//Ai synastry is actually really fascinating too but since I don't ship them I'm not gonna share/post it without convincing (via a lot of engagement on the posts or paid commission).

The first thing that stands out to me is the sun-moon opposition. This is someone whose core identity is in direct opposition to their emotional needs. It also feels like a visibility wound since it takes place along the Leo/Aquarius axis. His Leo sun naturally commands the spotlight (Leo is the leader of the zodiac signs), but the moon in Aquarius is terrified of being seen. To Hikaru the more he was "adored" the more he was harmed, and even though he has always attracted attention due to his looks he still feels like an outsider looking in. This also correlates with chiron (the primal wound) being in Aquarius (the loner of the zodiac).
Building off themes of visibility, he has a stellium in the 10th house. Most people immediately think about career when it comes to the 10th house, but it's not only that. It's also about public reputation and legacy. This is someone who is going to be very publicly visible whether they desire it or not. The good thing is an active 10th house suggests a very successful and influential individual, and we know Hikaru is very well off after establishing his own agency. Venus in the 10th directly points to his involvement in entertainment/show business. He also has an active 5th house (while not a true stellium) and the themes of that house are romance, hobbies, creativity, and children - all of which are relevant to his character.
Mars on the ascendant again reiterates that his presence is impossible to ignore. They radiate confidence and sex appeal, especially Libra Mars because Libra rules over Venus. He has natural social grace and can probably charm the birds out of the trees for you. The downside is that Mars is in detriment in Libra so it can lead to being too passive or unwilling to take decisive action. Passive aggressiveness is also commonly seen with this placement as Libra Mars is conflict avoidant and never wants to look like "the bad guy", but aggression has to go somewhere. Manipulation is on the table as well because Libra knows exactly what to say to get you on their side, and they often play both sides (this may or may not have been said with a double meaning).
Mercury/Venus/Saturn in Cancer - his communication style is warm, modest, and inviting because he wants others to see him as safe and trustworthy. In relationships he is actually on the shyer side as seen with Ai, and despite the false projection of confidence he's sensitive and insecure on the inside due to his trauma/upbringing. Saturn shows us where we face delays or restrictions and in the sign of Cancer points to a lack of emotional safety - often due to absent, abusive, or neglectful parents. These people may feel a lot but struggle to express their emotions.
Extremely strong Lilith signature - Lilith represents the wild and untamable dark feminine. People whose personal planets make multiple aspects to Black Moon Lilith (which Hikaru's do) often become a target for violence and SA because others dehumanize them for not assimilating. This is especially true when Lilith falls in Scorpio and connects with Pluto (also rules over Scorpio) because that Lilith will be strongly influenced by 8th house themes of death, money, and sex. It also comes with the tendency to get into secret/hidden relationships with married/taken partners or a partner who denies them publicly and shames them.
I'd also like to note he primarily has cardinal energy and cardinal signs initiate things but aren't necessarily the ones to finish them. This checks out with Hikaru being described as an instigator in relation to the murders. There are more things I could talk about like the moon-pluto square that is associated with an abusive mother figure, but this is getting long and I don't wanna overwhelm anyone!

[Ayatsuji] Sun sextile [Tsujimura] Moon (wide orb) - This creates an easy, supportive understanding. Ayatsuji provides structure, grounding, and a reality check for Tsujimuraās dreamy, intuitive Pisces nature. In return, Tsujimura brings softness, inspiration, and emotional depth to Ayatsuji's disciplined Capricorn ego.
[Ayatsuji] Moon and Mars conjunct [Tsujimura] North Node and Chiron (tight orb) - This is incredibly heavy and magnetic. Ayatsujiās emotional world and drive trigger Tsujimuraās deepest psychological wounds and ultimate evolutionary path. He acts as a catalyst for her soul's growth, though it can feel incredibly raw. When someone's personal planets make aspects to someone else's nodes of destiny, the connection feels fated and meant to happen. With chiron being involved, the old wounds get brought to the surface for healing.
[Ayatsuji] Mars trine [Tsujimura] Venus (tight orb) - Love and desire flows harmoniously, making it an excellent aspect for a long term relationship. Another thing worth noting is that Ayatsuji's Mars in Scorpio is domicile while Tsujimura's Venus in Pisces is exalted, making the energy exchange from these planets more potent as they are operating at full strength.
[Ayatsuji] Ascendant conjunct [Tsujimura] Lilith (exact) - Tsujimura brings out a hidden, taboo, or intensely primal side of Ayatsuji's public persona. It adds an obsessive, unshakeable quality to how they view each other. This is a highly intoxicating placement that creates a strong physical attraction, almost "dangerous partner" energy.
[Ayatsuji] Saturn square [Tsujimura] Pluto (tight orb) - This is like ordinary government vs secret services. The square creates a subtle but frequent competitiveness for dominance and influence. What makes it potentially disruptive is Ayatsuji's own Sun-Pluto conjunction, meaning this friction is very internalized and feels personal to him. Tsujimura's Pluto is basically holding up a mirror to his core identity so when they clash, it feels like a battle over identity, authority, and who holds the steering wheel of the relationship.
[Ayatsuji] Saturn square [Tsujimura] Moon - Tsujimura may feel like her emotions are being criticized and invalidated by Ayatsuji, and this discomfort could cause her to withdraw and close herself off. This may lead to an air of awkwardness in the relationship. This is also a common aspect in karmic relationships that teaches the Moon person to build emotional maturity and self-reliance, while teaching the Saturn person to learn how to hold space for someone else's feelings without trying to rigidly fix or suppress them.
[Ayatsuji] Saturn opposite [Tsujimura] Mars - Tsujimura wants to act now, speak directly, and push forward with raw passion. When hitting Ayatsujiās Saturn, she feels like she is slamming directly into a brick wall. It can feel incredibly frustrating, blocking, or rejecting. Ayatsujiās Saturn is in Libra, seeking balance, strategy, and deliberate pacing. He may view her Aries Mars impulses as reckless, aggressive, or unrefined, instinctively stepping on the brakes to slow her down.
[Ayatsuji] Saturn conjunct [Tsujimura] Uranus (tight orb) - This is a safety net that creates a balance between structure and change. They will never get bored of each other because their relationship is capable of constantly evolving and shifting in dynamic without falling apart. Ayatsuji provides structural support for Tsujimura's ambitions while she provides a new outlook on life that can show in what areas of life he is the greatest enemy to himself.
Full aspect table for anyone who wants it (I only mentioned a few). They have several Saturn/Pluto contacts which creates strong binding and the potential for obsession. I'd consider them karmic soulmates.
I won't go deeply into house overlays, but the most delicious part of this synastry is that their ascendants are in opposing signs, making their charts perfect mirrors. In derivative astrology we call this a 7.7 relationship - meaning both partners have their ascendant in each other's 7th house of marriage. In the case of ayamura though it's not just the ascendant - Ayatsuji has his Sun/Pluto activating Tsujimura's 7th while she has her Moon/Jupiter activating his. They naturally embody what each other is looking for in a partner.
Moon in Cancer opposing Pluto in Capricorn + square Mars in Aries screams mother wounds. The moon represents the mother and our home. Hard aspects to Pluto and Mars introduce conflict, power struggles, and destruction. Tsujimura's relationship with her mother is complicated. Not only was she mostly absent from her life, but Tsujimura believed she had died (at the hands of her partner no less). That's already extremely traumatic. Her mother's shadow lingers over her throughout the novel, and enemies tend to poke at this wound to gain an edge over her. The signs of the moon/pluto opposition are also very revealing. It's a push-pull between Cancer (family/private life) and Capricorn (career/public life). What strained Tsujimura's relationship with her mother was career.
No traditional stellium, but heavy Scorpio influence and it's to be expected with her background - especially Saturn in Scorpio. Saturn represents restrictions, delays, and karmic lessons. Tsujimura inherits a violent ability from her mother that she has no control over, and she constantly fears its activation. The lesson Saturn is trying to teach here is for her to confront her shadow (literally) and work to master the raw power (Scorpio) she was given so that her ability works for her, not against her. This is also why her fortune (mathematically accurate here) and North Node are in Scorpio. She's meant to move towards intensity, not hide from it.
Black Moon Lilith theoretically should be the same sign as Ayatsuji's (I chose not to think too much about his placements in general when making hers so there's inconsistencies) but I felt Capricorn fit her better. Lilith shows us where we have been shamed for our desires and Tsujimura is a highly competent agent who is dedicated to her job, even if others make fun of her for it. "You messed up by being born in the same era as me" is very Capricorn boss bitch energy. She also has a lot of cardinal energy, and cardinal signs love to initiate things.

Since I'm an Ayatsuji/gaiden glazer (privately) I'll discuss a few of these. He has a very intense chart with a lot of squares and oppositions...there's literally a fixed t-square going on between Scorpio, Aquarius, and Taurus.
Moon in Scorpio: emotions run deep into the underworld, but are kept very private. Scorpio moons have a vindictive side and keep score of everything. Bro was open about how he wanted to slime Kyougoku and wasn't ashamed either lmao. This moon placement is also great at reading ppl. It's like having a built in bullshit detector that is constantly going off.
Mars in Scorpio: of fucking course he has a freaky Mars with the kinky shit he is canonically into. In Hellenistic astrology, Mars is the ruler of Scorpio meaning the energy is expressed very strongly here, so bro has a high drive even if it's hidden behind a mask of Capricorn stoicism. Mars is our expression of desire and also how we fight. Ayatsuji doesn't attack directly, he observes...picks you apart psychologically, and doesn't show his hand until he's finished building the case against you. The intense surgical precision in which he takes ppl down is very Scorpio Mars.
Mercury & Venus in Aquarius: quick communication, witty banter and flirtation, sarcasm always lands. Extremelyy smart (obviously) and always wins debates. May have unusual hobbies/interests (doll basement anyone?). Mercury and Venus are squaring off against his moon which creates a mismatch between his emotions (deep attachment) vs how he expresses himself and his behavior in relationships (needing space/detachment). Venus in Aquarius can be known for being a little commitment-phobic or inconsistent in their expression of love, but it's forming a trine to his Saturn in Libra which means he does take relationships seriously.
Sun & Pluto in Capricorn: ignore that Dazai and Nikolai have Pluto in Sagittarius technically making Ayatsuji younger than them lol (I didn't consider other characters at all when assigning the outer planets). I felt that Capricorn Pluto fit him best bc Pluto is about transformation and Capricorn is related to the material world and established power structures, something Ayatsuji's ability easily disrupts. His sun and Pluto being tightly conjunct (like Fyodor, and like me lol) mean his identity is fused to his power. He doesn't just have power, he is power. Plutonic individuals also tend to be very intense and influential, but it comes with a tendency to be exposed to traumatic events and the darker aspects of life (death, violence, obsession, etc) frequently.
Fortune in Libra: may seem unusual (it mathematically should be Pisces but meh I'll choose vibes over accuracy here like with Dazai) but if you've read the novel you know Ayatsuji finds his greatest fortune through his partnership with Tsujimura, and Kyougoku specifically set it up so that they would work together. He wasn't meant to do it all on his own.
South Node in Pisces: I'll stop here bc it's getting long (there's much more to unpack tho, again ignore the vertex bc I didn't make one) but risking his life and faking his death to protect Tsujimura? Peak SN Pisces moment, as Pisces has a tendency to play the role of the martyr.

Decided to post this one for his birthday. Again ignore the vertex (Vx) bc I didn't assign one. I could, but since I didn't do it for Fyodor or Dazai I want to keep it fair. He doesn't have a traditional stellium, but he does have a lot of sag, aries, and gemini energy. Like Dazai, bro has almost nothing stabilizing him but he does have a grand fire trine...which could cause more instability š³
I'll be the first to admit that I haven't really studied Nikolai's character and it doesn't help that there's very little we know in canon, so I tried to channel him based on ~vibes~ alone. If someone thinks this is incorrect and wants to have a go at it, they are welcome to remake as long as they credit me for the idea (since I'm the first person to come up with it). The same rules apply if anyone decides to take this information and create a synastry between other characters.

Ignore the vertex (Vx) row/column as I didn't actually assign him a Vertex point. Explaining everything would be a lot of work I don't personally feel like doing for a character I'm not that passionate about (unlike Fyodor). I'm sharing this mainly for reference in case any Dazai fans wanna play around with it whether it be checking their own compatibility with him or using it to create a synastry report for their own ships (if you do this and post it, then I expect credit for using my placements). I might post other characters for fans to reference in the future.
Side note bro has practically no earth energy, (I don't count the North Node) meaning there's absolutely nothing stabilizing this guy. He's a bomb (like me with my air/fire dominant chart pfft). There's also much more hard/tense (red lines) than harmonious aspects. Typical Dazai (again can't make fun of him tho bc I have multiple planet oppositions + Yod lol).
Based off my original analysis of Fyodor's chart. I created placements for Dazai to see how they would interact with Fyodor's and this is the result:
Harmonious Aspects:
[Fyodor] Sun conjunct [Dazai] South Node (tight orb) - Dazaiās South Node (past habits) sits right on Fyodorās Sun. This is a massive "Past Life" indicator. Dazai feels like he has "already lived" the life Fyodor is currently leading. He knows Fyodor's tricks because they used to be his tricks. Dazai represents a version of the "power/control" life that Fyodor is currently obsessed with. He is essentially a "graduate" of the dark, Plutonian school Fyodor is currently headmaster of. Dazaiās presence reminds Fyodor that there is something beyond the "will to power. Therefore Dazai must "defeat" Fyodor to finally move past his own dark nature.
[Fyodor] Sun conjunct [Dazai] Fortune - This means that Fyodorās very existence, his thoughts, his speech, his identity is "fortunate" for Dazai. Fyodor provides the intellectual stimulation that makes Dazai feel "alive." They are valuable to each other's growth, even if it hurts.
[Fyodor] Moon sextile [Dazai] Moon - They share a need for freedom and intellectual detachment. Neither of them wants to be "smothered." This allows them to coexist in the same space without demanding emotional labor from the other. There is emotional harmony here.
[Fyodor] Moon conjunct [Dazai] Neptune (wide orb, same sign) - A very spiritual aspect where both tend to sense each other's moods, dream about each other, and even have a sort of telepathic-like bond. There is much devotion here, especially on the moon person (Fyodor's) end. Dazai is one of the few people who can actually understand Fyodorās logical extremes. However, because itās a trine, Dazai might use this understanding to "intellectualize" Fyodorās pain rather than heal it.
[Fyodor] Fortune trine [Dazai] Ascendant - Their connection actually brings out a "softer" or more "spiritual" side of the relationship that they both likely hide from the world. It suggests that despite the rivalry, there is a weirdly "blessed" quality to their interaction.
[Fyodor] Midheaven sextile [Dazai] Saturn - Dazai actually provides a strange kind of "structure" to Fyodorās mission. By being the perfect antagonist, Dazai gives Fyodorās Virgo MC a reason to exist. Without a "chaos" like Dazai to organize against, Fyodorās meticulously planned order has no purpose.

[Fyodor] Sun square [Dazai] Midheaven (tight orb) - This creates a "clash of titans" in the public eye. Fyodor wants to operate in the dark (Scorpio), but Dazaiās actions naturally drag everything into the spotlight (Leo). Dazai makes it impossible for Fyodor to remain a "ghost."
[Fyodor] Mercury quincunx [Dazai] Mercury - This is the "frequency mismatch." They are both geniuses, but they speak different languages. Fyodor communicates in subtext, silence, and strategy (Scorpio); Dazai communicates in wordplay, diversions, and rapid-fire logic (Gemini). They are constantly "re-calculating" each other.

Fyodor's Lilith in Dazai's 8th house - This creates an atmosphere of psychological warfare and dark obsession. Fyodor taps into Dazaiās most taboo thoughts and his relationship with death. This overlay often indicates a "mutual destruction" pact, they are drawn to the darkest parts of each other with a clinical yet intoxicating intensity.

What Dazai projects (Scorpio Ascendant) to the world is Fyodorās core essence (Scorpio Sun/Stellium). This pattern is observed within their Lilith signs as well. Fyodorās Lilith is in Gemini (Dazaiās Sun sign) and Dazaiās Lilith is in Sagittarius (Fyodorās Ascendant sign), meaning they essentially embody each other's shadows.
