i get really into shows that aired like 5+ years ago like “have y’all heard of this”

fanfic writers will consume a whole ass franchise and be like "that was fun, now i will proceed to do it better"

my favourite type of fan fictions are like. Slightly canon divergent. Like everything is the same but we fix this one annoying detail you can’t stand and let it butterfly effect the whole story.

"Not everything is about your blorbos" to you maybe. To me every other song and probably that car commercial is about them

not ignoring canon nor strictly adhering to it, but a secret third thing (taking the small bits and crumbs canon barely spent time developing and running absolutely hogwild)

i feel like all writers just need like....an oc story. and i dont mean like a story just with original characters. i mean like a piece of writing that simply makes your brain go wheeeeeeeeeee and its at the level of something your 13 year old self would write and post to deviantart. its liberating. its freeing. its comforting. my ocs are all gay and overpowered as fuck and there's really no plot to this but by god I'm having fun.
