reading the libretto of hasse/pasquini arminio. i find marzia and segeste's relationship interesting. generally, when such a dynamic is in place, it's the son-in-law who's close friends ( read: vaguely homoerotic ) with his love interest's father, but here it's the daughter-in-law giving parenting advice to her boyfriend's dad.
it is still unreasonably funny to me that arminio is called "hermann" in german. like the lady from limbus company. and also some other guys who elude my memory right now.
