Because when Flambae does something stupid, most of the time he's punished for it. He's humiliated or loses body parts.
When Invisigal is being an asshole, she's never, never, punished for it. She punches Robert, insults him, mocks him,
You mentioned Robert defending her for the punch, but that's the problem? Why would he do that? What is there to "understand" from someone who spied on him, insulted him instead of apologizing after gatting caught, who screw up a mission and hurt a client because she refused to listen to Robert for no reason then refuse to listen to his rightful scolding and started insulting him over that? Why does Golem get thrown out of the room or get a chair thrown at him for bumping Robert with a door (seemigly on accident) and why does Flambae get food thrown at him for being a bitch to Waterboy when he had actual valid reasons to be angry at him (his reactions were still wrong ofc)? Even in ep 6 (two episodes before the end), she still punches Chase (in appearance a frail old man). Yes, he's harsh against her, insulting even, but SHE is never punched when she acts the same, and worse, towards Robert. What's the difference between Chase in ep 6 and her in ep 2 before she punched Robert? The only ones I see is that she knows deep well that all her insults are not true and Chase has actual reasons to not like her.
It's even worse considering when in ep 8, if you don't untie her, she calls Thumcstick, which could have killed Robert. This one is so stupid and awful to her character I'll just leave it here.
The only time Flambae is not being punished for being an asshole is when he punches Robert after you reveal your identity. And while it's bad, it's still a lot more understandable than Invisigal never being punished. Already talked about it here, but to be short, Flambae had actual good reasons to be angry, unlike Invisigal, who should feel guilty after hurting Robert before.
For what I understand, the reason Robert doesn't report Invisigal is because he doesn't want her to protect him, he wants to be respected so he needs to control them himself, not her (it's at least the reasoning many people who didn't report her had). So it has nothing to do with understanding Invisigal (and it would have been a lot better to say so, at least when you choose to report her, there's no reason the game refuse to let you do that but still punishes and shames you for it).
But good reasons or not, Invisigal still needed to apologize for what she did. It was stupid and wrong. She's the main character with the most screen time after Robert and her character arc is one of the most important in the game. It's not like Flambae who's a side character who doesn't get much focus (if you hold the truth, he doesn't care), she had the time. It's even the purpose of her character, if she can turn herself a hero. But by doing that, you need to hold yourself accountable and at least apologize to the people you hurt. She doesn't even apologize for trying to kill Robert. Instead, the rare times you can give her consequences for her bad actions, YOU are the one punished.
And it's not mentioning all the sexual harassment but that's another topic. But yeah, one ship has an interesting set up for enemies-to-lover, the other is abusive and it's all bc if the game favoritism towards her. Some already talked about it, but this favoritism ruins her character and her ship
