Chaz ends up over hearing the conversation and telling Chad he doesn't think he's a failure, he never saw Chad like that. Yeah there were a lot of bumps in the road but Chad picked himself up and made the decision to change his life for the better, that isn't easy to do. He's proud of his cousin, like he helped save LA!
XD I mean..I was meaning when it was just Prism and Chad. I should have specified it was some time later. Like after the party.
But I do think Chaz would try to make amends of sorts.
Chaz definitely tells Chad that he’s seen how difficult it’s been for Chad. How his uncle (Chad’s dad) got him into arson but everyone blamed Chad for it. How Chad left home when his parents found out he was gay and there was a huge argument. How after Chad was gone, their parents and his own parents told Chad’s sister and him to NEVER be like him cause he “abandoned” them and was a terrible influence.
But..Chad didn’t abandon them. At least, not his sister. He still was a good big brother. And he’s an amazing uncle. And yes, things are a LOT better than they were when Chad left. It doesn’t mean there’s scars from all sides of their family.
And..he’s glad Chad improved himself. Actually improved himself. And sure, it started for his sister and niece but..he can tell now Chad is doing it for himself too. He’s proud of him.
Even more so since he’s become a hero.
Chad doesn’t say anything for a while and Chaz feels the awkward silence. He clears his throat and tries to joke. He says “You don’t even threaten to light my clothes on fire anymore!” And Chad gives him a look and he’s like “I could start again if you want.” And Chaz is like “P-Please don’t!”.
But Chad huffs a small laugh and pats Chaz’s back.
And Chad then sighs and says he doesn’t know if he can just..get rid of that resentment. And Chaz hums and says they can make a start. Chad asks how.
“Well..we could go get lunch together. That’s a start.”
