Sometimes guilt doesn’t follow wrongdoing.
Sometimes it arrives first.
Many autistic people describe automatically assuming they’ve upset someone long before there’s any evidence. An unanswered message, a brief change in someone’s expression, or a conversation that felt slightly different can become the starting point for hours of self-questioning. Rather than reflecting actual responsibility, this pattern may be closely tied to how the brain responds to uncertainty and social ambiguity. (Medium)
That’s the experience I explore in this article…
The strange burden of carrying responsibility for problems that may never have been yours
many people ask 'how do i know my art is good enough to start a comic'. this is a very common mistake. you do not make a comic to make good art you make comics because its fun and looked yummy
saying this very gently. how will you improve
me when i improve the skill by (checks notes) not doing it so no one sees me doing it badly
we as a society have GOT to accept that it is okay if we get blocked. you do not have the right to interact with every single person on the internet. "but then i can't interact with their content" yes that is the point "but i didn't do anything" no one owes you an explanation and you don't have to have "done something" to be blocked. let it go
did you know you can rename everything on your pc

everybody has a backpack
some are full
some are not
some are heavy
some are light
but everybody has a backpack
some weights we are born with
some are placed there without our consent
some yes we put there ourselves
but everybody has a backpack
if they were visible we would know
how much weight a person carries
how much strength they use in a single step
but they are not
and we are left to wonder
is that person weak
is that person unwilling
or are they carrying weights i cannot see
because everybody has a backpack
but only you know what is in yours
Some days you crave structure.
Some days you crave novelty.
Sometimes you crave both at the exact same moment.
Many people with AuDHD describe living with an internal push and pull that can be difficult to explain. The need for predictability can coexist with an equally powerful drive for stimulation, making everyday decisions feel surprisingly complex. This tension is widely recognized in descriptions of co-occurring autism and ADHD. (sensoryoverload.info)
That’s the experience I explore in this article.
Why one mind can simultaneously crave order and chaos, routine and novelty, deep focus and constant change
Two people can experience the same event and walk away feeling completely different.
One moves on within an hour.
The other needs a day, a weekend, or even longer before they feel like themselves again.
That difference isn’t always about toughness or resilience. Sometimes it’s about how the nervous system processes stress, sensory input, uncertainty, and the energy required to navigate everyday life. Understanding recovery means looking beyond the event itself and considering the biology that follows. (Pacja)
That’s the question I explore in this article.
The Hidden Energy Costs of Processing a World That Wasn’t Designed for Your Nervous System
Most conversations disappear into memory within hours or days.
Some don’t.
Many neurodivergent people find themselves replaying conversations years later, examining tone, word choice, facial expressions, and wondering whether they were understood. From the outside, it can look like overthinking.
Neuroscience suggests something more interesting may be happening.
This article explores why these mental replays occur and why they may reflect a brain searching for understanding rather than simply refusing to let go. (Medium)

Happy Bisesquicentennial to all my American friends!
reblogs were turned off for this one but i want it on my blog too
and your trans/queer/intersex/gnc friends notice when the first thing you criticize about a bad person is their gender non-conformity baybeee
yes that includes penis size jokes. and theorized sex life. and balding patterns.
don't get me started on all the red flags your physically and mentally disabled friends see when you criticize a bad person for, oh, I dunno, literally anything other than why they're a bad person??? my brothers in christ, my siblings in satan, the morality is not stored in the flesh, nor are the ethics stored in the pretense of normalcy.
a bad person does bad things. that's what you should be ridiculing. the actions that cause harm. not the waist size.
I made this at 1 a.m. and I do not regret it
P.S.: I am laughing until now. I may be stupid
Archeosky was having fun with this
tbh im not entirely immune to a villain with a tragic backstory but i do think villain origins are a lot more interesting when the focus is less "here is the original sin, the first big bad thing that happened to them that made them who they are" and more "here is the first time a person who maybe otherwise felt powerless in their life realized that they could hurt someone and get away with it"
you can get a lot more mileage out of analyzing a truly abhorrent character through the lens of like. what sort of conditions would allow or even incentivize this kind of cruelty? what kind of person benefits from those conditions and how? over the more typical who hurt them type analysis. imo.

the thing about Tangled is that this is a story geared towards little girls (even if it's "fun for the whole family," it's a disney princess movie, it's geared towards little girls), and it says, "here is a girl who is naive and doesn't know anything about the 'Real World' or how to navigate it safely and correctly. now pay close attention: the good guys are the ones who help her grow and explore new things while still respecting her own perspective and feelings, not making her feel stupid. the bad guys are the ones who tell her that she is too weak/immature/naive to do the things she wants to do, because she is fragile and needs protecting." and I watched this when I was nine years old and it resonated deep in a part of me that I couldn't articulate with words yet.
