I love people who are cis+. The ones who took the time to think about gender and decided they liked the one they were given. They project good gender vibes even if they aren't trans.

yknow that the loudest of the trans community is plagued to death with corrective misogyny when you see TRFs see the vagina as something fundamentally “female” no matter the context, something that is “female” and “forever will be”. when in their same spheres they don’t link the penis to being a representation of “manhood”, and instead see it as something that is inherently genderless and anyone can have it without it implying “gender”, hence the amount of positivity posts they make about it and the amount of terminology they created revolving around words like ‘girl’ and this organ
as someone trying to learn more about transfeminism, this notion in transfeminist spaces that transmasc people are "misgendering themselves" to talk about their bodies has always frustrated me
i think we should start openly mocking male creatives who can't figure out how to write women. like actually i think it's embarrassing that it took elliot page transitioning for christopher nolan to give him a good role. why did it take like ten years to get the first female lead in a marvel movie? why is it a Known Fact that stephen king can't write women? why is 50% of the population omitted from large ensemble works? i asked my friend to name a movie directed by a man with a majority female cast and he said ghostbusters 2016. ghostbusters. ghostbusters. g
Elliot Page also starred in Inception before transitioning, and from what I’ve heard is in The Odyssey for less than five minutes, so that’s a really weird example to use. Like, I don’t disagree with the overall point, but why is that the first example? Kind of feels more like criticizing Nolan for hiring a trans actor than actually being about men not able to write women.
Elliot Page is such a good example of how when trans men transition people automatically read privilege into their experiences—them specfically, in a way that singles them out among the sea of cis men they are surrounded with living their lives uncontroversially—when all evidence suggests they are actually experiencing the exact opposite of that. Elliot Page has gotten nothing but hate and scrutinity from the general public and the media and his career has taken some serious damage since coming out.
the very first thing that happens in the movie is Elliot Page's character dies. I understand the confusion, but typically when a minority dies in the first 5 minutes of a movie we consider this to be a Weird Choice and scrutinize people for making it.
Just met a trans man who's going on T because he specifically wants to be bald and i'm afraid to say i think i'm just never gonna meet anyone cooler than that ever again
"progressive" and it's yet another person who thinks transmascs are uniquely misogynistic

i'm late for both nonbinary day of visibility and make a terrible comic day, so here is an occasionless nonbinary shitty comic
I still think pregnancy and childbirth should be degendered. we stopped talking about that and I need us to pick it back up pls
As time goes on the idea of a "transtrender" gets funnier and funnier. At what point in time has there ever been a trend or clout to gain from being trans?
“Trans men don’t make good music it’s all cringey ukulele indie pop” name a trans male musician who makes music like that other than cavetown
You know what? Name any trans male musician at all who isn’t cavetown
i dont want to derail from op's original point, but there have been a lot of wonderful reccs on this post, and i DO think we as a community need to do more to uplift trans men/transmasc musicians instead of stereotyping all transmasc musicians as "cringy". so, i sat down and went through every comment, tag, and reblog on this post (at least, all of the ones that are visible to me) and compiled a list, and i included some of my own favorites that i didnt see mentioned!
this list is not in any order, and i am not familiar with most of these artists, so an inclusion on this is not an endorsement of anything! if ive made a mistake anywhere, just let me know!
