I know it feels good as fuck to cast spells from up there
While making dinner tonight, I very very fleetingly, but very seriously and legitimately thought “I should watch Goncharov tonight”
And then I Remembered.
That it's no longer on poob?
This is incomprehensible outside of tumblr, i love a well maintained closed ecosystem
The ancient texts were true… They DO have a reaction image for everything…
I still find it pretty funny that in fallout 3 you can get your karma down by just opening Moriarty’s terminal over and over again.
The slavers at paradise falls have heard of me. I’m the guy that opens people’s computers over and over again without asking first.
Butch won’t be my companion. He’s like you’re too intense. You must’ve turned on that computer like 50 times in a row last time.
My forbidden computer touching ways have caught up with me.
The reason I’m doing this in the first place is that a lot of evil karma options in fallout 3 are just inconvenient. Like I could go out of my way to blow up a city or I could not blow up a city and get a much more convenient free house and keep access to their merchants.
So in order to keep getting the full evil karma experience, every time I do something convenient or utilitarian that raises my karma I go back to Moriarty’s Saloon and just open his terminal over and over again.
Thus, my good boy points are eliminated through repeated computer touching and the regulators here are hunting me down for looking at Moriarty’s personal data a hundred times in a row.
What’s really funny about lowering your karma this way is that after you do a major good Karma action and listen to the radio, the radio DJ Three Dog will be like this horrible fucker from vault 101 we all hate him so much you know that guy? He did another fucking thing. He saved a thousand orphans.

"who do you self insert as when you read?"
This is me when I read:
reblog to remind prev they're not a bother and their presence is wanted <3
clocked back in to the chilshi factory, have more tallman au
SIMPLE GUIDE:
Body Horror: Things that cannot happen in real life. EX: The Thing, stomach mouths, eyes on hands, etc
Gore: Fresh injuries, often severe. EX: Severed leg, gutspill, deep gashes, etc
NEITHER: Healed injuries and burns, congenital differences, missing appendages, etc. If I could theoretically go to the store and see that character browsing the isles- It isn't body horror or gore. That's just a person. *AND the amount of people that tag, not just fictional characters, but real human beings as body horror is staggering. Its not solely a fandom issue, ableism and bigotry against anyone that looks sufficiently "different" is prevalent in real life and has devastating consequences.

The show that never ends
Ryland Grace and his popularity as a character feels like such an important step in repairing the cultural tsunami left by the long running trope of every genius character needing to be an insufferable asshole to everyone in a ten mile radios about it.
Conversely, Eva Stratt is doing wonders for repairing and inspiring a appreciation for commanding women with dubious moral convictions who are fully willing to bend laws for the greater good without hesitation.
And together they are doing brilliant things by not kissing or hooking up even once.
Watched a documentary about abuse and advice one guy said to give children was, "Tell them that if someone is hurting them, to tell someone - and don't just tell one person. Tell as many people as possible, and keep telling as many people as possible until the abuse stops." and i really liked that
Bc so many ppl focus on the idea of telling A Trusted Adult, but even a well-meaning individual can fuck up and let abuse fall through the cracks or not know what to do
Whereas if a child tells LOADS of adults AND other kids, there's far less opportunity for an abuser to do damage control
Consistently telling their story and spreading it around disempowers the abuser to control and coerce the flow of information, or to utilise gaps and weaknesses in systems of reporting or welfare to isolate the child
Just really good advice. Not suprised I don't hear it more often.
as a teen, i was constantly harassed by adults enforcing ''dress codes'' on me. I very much experienced this as sexual harassment. I think this is one of many cases where people would more easily understand this as sexual harassment if I described it as if it happened to an adult.
imagine being on your lunch break, and your supervisor comes over to your table, tells you to stand up in front of everyone. they draw everyone's attention to your thighs. they tell you that you have broken the dress code because of the length of your shorts. they tell you to go change (so you do not get the rest of your lunch break). they do this every single day at lunch. every day. so you read the whole dress code front and back, and you choose your clothing carefully to not break it. you bring a cloth tape measure with you to work because they will not believe you. this time when your supervisor tells you that you're breaking dress code, you pull out your tape measure and show that you are within the limit. your supervisor says "I bet you wouldn't want me to bring you to the boss and let him measure it, would you?" it's clearly a threat: if you don't obey then you will be put alone in a room with your boss and he will touch your thighs. you don't know how to respond. you're taken out of lunch again.
this was my experience at school. replace supervisor with "teacher" and boss with "principal." this was sexual harassment. fuck dress codes.
There's something really interesting in rewatching/rereading TSHD and knowing more about Hikaru being a being that grants wishes (often in exchange of souls) in the earlier chapters in light of knowing what the original Hikaru's wish was; which at the very end was specifically for Yoshiki to not be alone (and more widely originally for people to not mourn him). And what's fascinating I think is to delve into how that potentially influences Hikaru once he comes down from the mountain, since we don't really know what exactly defines the wish being fulfilled; is it Hikaru coming back that simply fufills it (all done and gone)? Or is it a longer thing where he does actually provide that companionship to Yoshiki, like the wish actually asked for?
It's fascinating looking at the times when that wish is being denied, because you see Hikaru get deeply emotionally distressed about it. When Yoshiki in the very beginning of the manga asks him who he is and recognizes that he's not Hikaru, the times when Yoshiki rejects Hikaru after knowing he's not the original Hikaru, and especially when Yoshiki ends up trying to kill Hikaru; it's all instances in which Hikaru has failed to grant or jeopardizes original Hikaru's wish, in essentially being a companion to Yoshiki, he's not being just emotionally rejected but also rejected on a deeper level of his being. You also see this when Asako asks him about it; Hikaru panics at the potential threat of being exposed and goes to kill her... unlike with Yoshiki, which the wish was about, in which Hikaru pleaded with Yoshiki instead of just going straight to kill him. It's especially interesting when you have Yoshiki ask Hikaru to kill him after he tries to kill Hikaru; it's a request, a wish from Yoshiki to Hikaru, and you see Hikaru spiralling about whether or not to grant it... a being that grants wishes, for a wish that goes against the last wish he granted/is granting.
I don't think all of Hikaru's emotional turmoil is just Hikaru's nature as a wish granting being fulfilling a request, as it is clear part of Hikaru's responses is definitely the growth of his own emotions, but I think a part of it, especially perhaps in the beginning, was predicated by the og Hikaru's feelings and wish (ie, the scenes where he says he can't tell which emotions are his or og Hikaru's). Anyways I think it's neat to think about the intersection of Hikaru's nature as a being outside the cycle of reincarnation that grants wishes and how that relates to Hikaru's own emotions, because the story does heavily include Hikaru's 'monstrosity'... so it's interesting when these times come up, especially earlier before Hikaru develops more emotional maturity, and you can see how that changes and adjusts over time as he interacts with the fluidity and complexity of the wish that it is for him to provide companionship to Yoshiki, and essentially for Yoshiki to be happy.

From the media that brought you "Millennials are killing [insert industry here]" articles for years and years and years, now we have....
"Hey, Gen Z, we're gonna relabel vacations into something else now and tell you how you really should be wary of taking vacation because it might impact your financial future."
This is a goddamn dystopia, we know this, right?

If Pikiwedia says it it must be true.
I made Pikiwedia real. Works for any Wikipedia page. Use this wisely :)
Oh, wary dell vone
Goodmorning to the Anthropic Claude AI training scraper that suddenly decided to request 660 thousand pages (exactly the number I had remaining on the starter plan) and brought Pikiwedia down.
Sudden switch from diverse user agents like chrome, safari, messenger preview to Just Claudebot. I'm not even mad though, this is maybe the funniest thing possible, because I've inadvertently poisoned their training data with thousands of fucked up articles with normal urls.
Pikiwedia perseveres, back up with a better robots.txt. I hope Anthropic has a gery vood time with Pikiwedia's data :))
