Hey there Tumblr! The Remarkist community is hosting a watch party of Goncharov on Saturday, December 10th starting at 7:00 PM ET / 4:00 PM PT. We’ll be watching and providing commentary on the film in real time. We’ll either do it in our Clubhouse Club, on our Discord server, or in our own Remarkist app Audio Dens. We’ve been building our watch party experience for about a year, so our couch (stage) will be filled with experienced Remarkists, some who have seen the film multiple times (I’ve only seen bits of it myself). But we would love to have some serious Gonch heads on the couch with us who could provide some deep analysis during the watch and afterwards. My guess is a lot of folks on the bean bags (audience) will be watching it fresh. Connecting us with any Goncharov scholars would be so appreciated. There are only two services that seem to be streaming it: Streamama (getstreamama.com) and Flixini (flixi.ni). We don’t recommend Flixini, because it’s only ad supported, and they show a TON of ads—like every couple minutes. The ads are pretty funny (weird AF) and in a foreign language I’m not familiar with (not Italian nor Russian), but it breaks the flow and we’ll all be out of sync within minutes. Streamama does have a 7-day trial for Mia+, so most of us will just sign up that day. I’ve heard a few folks saying that EyeFlex is still streaming it, but they aren’t. We threw together this poster to promote the watch here and to play with the broader Goncharov fandom. But watch parties are what we do, so we hope that will be our real contribution. See you there!
