After finding a download of the digital raws I thought I'd try my hand at retranslating the Shuuenpro manga, since I would be able to post that more consistently. (And for those still waiting on the novels... I apologize for the long hiatus OTL... Hopefully this will tide you over in the meantime.) Will post monthly on the 1st.

This translation uses mostly the same wording, narration, and dialogue as my translation of the first novel, with some minor improvements.

It would be weird and fucked up if you were purchasing comic books of children being physically beaten too. Why do we need to have these kinds of materials available? Who does it serve? Does it serve children, to have some of the most heinous crimes to be committed against them casually consumed as leisure? Does it serve education about child sex abuse for these materials to be available as a tolerated form of entertainment? We should be asking: what exactly is the purpose of these materials such as lolicon and shotacon?

Because if the fictionalized depictions of the abuse of the marginalized and vulnerable serves as a mass produced commodity sold to the public freely and it doesn’t serve the interests of the subjects of those depictions, then it must serve the interests of capital and patriarchy who normalize all sorts of oppressive violence as entertainment.

Turns out the major animators indeed had unhealthy sexual interests in young girls and this is supported by the fact that drawn lolicon was in the same industry as live action lolicon, which featured pantyshots and nude photos - all operating under the genre title of lolicon. So real child exploitation was directly tied to the animated lolicon scene.

Then a media collector with some interest in the genre killed and cannibalized multiple little girls.

Later it seems lolicon’s presence on 2chan was supported by far right personalities.

The whole time this industry is evading censors and would be cracked down on multiple times for sexually explicit material of young girls, both drawn and real.
