'Boke' is a word of Scottish origins, Ulster Scots takes its origins mainly from scotland. It is not a slang word because it is used in every day life as the meaning 'to vomit' and is in the Ulster scots language. It does not take origins from Ireland but Scotland.

Topped by the Queenâs Crown
And say Weâre side-by-side with Scotland
And they wonât let us down.â
