1912 members of the Ulster Volunteer Force. Tens of thousands of men enlisted to resist Irish Home Rule. Nearly all of these men went on to fight for Britain in the Great War.

Today one of the largest loyalist parades ever is being held in Belfast the mark the 100th anniversary of the signing of Ulster's Covenant.

Yesterday marked the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Ulster Covenant. Hundreds of thousands of Ulstermen and women put their names to the document, which opposed Irish Home Rule. The Telegraph has reproduced some of the images from 1912.
