In a St Patrick's day tweet, that didn't seem to go down too well, the Chicago Bears posted a fake photo of the the Chicago river dyed orange (team colours) rather than the traditional green on St. Patrick's day. The tweet saw a backlash from Irish Americans that led to the post being removed.
Maybe these people weren't aware that one third of the Irish Republic's flag is orange and that the earliest St. Patrick's day parades in America were organised by Irish Protestants of the orange tradition?

Australian artist Henry Clive painted a series called Global Glamour in the 1940âs which was a collection of international beauties in national dress. This one is "Northern Ireland" as featured on the front cover of American Weekly magazine, 1944.
