Watching his body language, she thought maybe she’d said something wrong but just decided to shrug it off. Standing straight up with a hand on her hip, she raised a brow at his question.

                 ‘ Well, you seem familiar. ’ He huffed out, since it was bugging the shit out of him. She seemed familiar and he didn’t know how. He didn’t like having to use his brain more then needed.

               When it agreed to be coach he never thought he would end up feeling like a father to a bunch of boys. Telling them to eat well, drink water, and now take them home when they are sick? Man, he was to young for this. Or old. To something. ‘ Well come on then. We gotten get into the car if you want to go home. ’ He looked to the other when he opened the door to outside. ‘ And remember, I don’t own many nice things. But my car? That’s a nice thing. ’

Fingers tread lightly over the slip of paper, pulling it closer to him on the counter, ❝ Oh and I’d like to buy these, ❞ cue some items being pushed towards the other. The usual stuff a person in their early twenties would buy, coffee-flavored drinks and assorted chips.

               Ukai nodded a few times, pulling the items in and ringing them up before he took the money and then gave it to him the change. He shrugged his shoulders a bit at the question. How much money you made depended on how much you work. ‘ It’s fine. ’

        Caught. He freezes, almost clear of the doorway; which, apparently, is not enough. Perhaps if he’d timed it better – no. He really shouldn’t have been late in the first place, and he’s well aware of the fact that he’s entirely in the wrong. 

       So after he takes a moment to unfreeze, he turns on his heel and drops his head in a show of apology. ( which, conveniently, hides the guilty expression he’s currently working to erase from his features. ) 

               It wasn’t like him to be late, Daichi had always been on time and strict about others being on time as well. Ukai was pretty sure he got a scolding from him once for being late because he napped to long. Yet here he was, walking in late? It was strange. ‘ Something up? ’ He said to him, his arms crossed over his chest. He felt the need to ask, after all his school work could be bringing him down. Most in his year quit sports because of it all.

                     ‘ --- Were you doing school work? Or a teacher giving you trouble? ’

                                           when you’ve been fighting for it all your life.                                              you’ve been working every day and night.                                          that’s how a superhero learns to fly. every day,                                                   every hour turn the pain into power.

               A grumble was given as his mind wondered about kids and why they made such stupid decisions. Not that he could talk though, it’s not like he was the sharpest tool in the shed or anything. ‘ Oi, Suga. ’ He yelled out to the other setter, ‘ Take over the setting and Captain you take over the practice until I get back. ’ He reached into his pocket, grabbing his keys. Man, he couldn’t wait to have a damn cigarette, these kids stressed him out.

               Something about the look she gave him made him want to react in a certain way. The reaction being that he wanted to yell at her, which was a bit weird in a way. Sure, he was the type to yell and be a grump but usually he was only a grump here and saved the yelling for when he was with the team.
