What do you all think of inline skates (such as Rollerblades) indoors as slippers? And what about sheepskin and fur rugs for the skates? Rollerblades (inline skates) worn inside as slippers on the fur rugs. Skates on the soft sheepskin rugs are fine, but because the skates are also used outside, they must stay off the bed and furniture, and NEVER touch the bottom of the skates.

The sneakers make excellent slippers for the sheepskin rug; however, she takes hers shoes off and leaves them on the fur rug before putting her feet on the furniture as the bottoms are dirty. Shoes are actually better for animal skin rugs than bare feet. Flats soft soles are the best for most animal skins and will allow furs to last longer, while bare feet will actually ruin fur rugs faster! Like this model, just remember to remove shoes from the feet before resting on the furniture or bed, and NEVER touch the bottom of any shoes or boots.
