It sure is hot outside, but my skates are hotter!

Day 12 - Skate

Didn’t want to go with a skateboard, so I went with ”skates” instead. I also Fall Out Boy ”Dance, Dance” hitting my ears when this struck me.

Oh hell yea!💜💚 I’m so fucking proud of these and so excited skate again!!:D

Been trying to find myself some skates for literal YEARS but it can be extremely difficult when you wear a women’s size 11 and don’t have 150$ to drop on a hobby ( and that’s on the lower end of buying good quality adult sized skates:// ). THANK GOD I found some at a thrift store in my size, for only 10!

I’ve always planned on painting my next pair of skates, so when I found these I immediately started planning ( swipe to the end to see the thumbnail I made of the design I wanted! ). Originally they were grey and red smooth plastic which paint will not stick to, so to start I sanded everything down ( which is why the texture is a little jank, but they look cool af and they’re going to get scratched up anyway so it’s fine ). Then I did two base coats of black to get rid of the old colors entirely and after used acrylic paints and glitter medium on the sparkly part!

I still need to use sealant to secure the paint a bit more before I can use them, but I wanted to take some pics before I got em all scratched up lol
