(ignoring everything after mercury falling. naturally) so much of thad's conflict after being confronted with the fact that max cares anyway, despite it all, is that nothing is truly his and he feels like hes not even a person. just bart. just thaddeus i. and i think theres a really interesting narrative possibility to be explored after thad's pseudo-suicide at the end of MF where maybe he gets some time to himself. and really thinks about who he is. and what he wants. and i think something really beautiful could happen. a sort of rebirth.

i dont think she could ever go back to max/helen/bart/etc as thad thawne, clone of bart allen, clone and heir of thaddeus thawne i, manifestation of centuries of other people's resentment. she would have to come back as herself. her own person with a better understanding of who she is.
