hannibal lecter & will graham are both extremely funny people but in such an odd way that no one around them realises theyre actually being funny. its so beautiful to me that they seem to be the only ones capable of not only getting the joke but also playing along with it . & thats why theyre soulmates btw

hm. wondering whether hannibal lecter favoured his mother & thats why when he had to once again leave behind everything he knew he chose italy purely for the memory of a gentle mediterranean accent & a fond tesoro or piccolino whispered to him in the middle of the night when his parents had just gotten back from some fancy dinner or another. blurry images of sitting politely on her bed while she got dressed for the day & marveling at the soft fabrics & beautiful patterns she brought with herself from her homeland asking if he can borrow a handkerchief only to intensely stare at it & reverently run the fine silk through his little fingers for the rest of the day

In the deleted scene at the end of season 3, in Hannibal's memory palace, Will is smiling. This is how Hannibal wants him to exist in his mind, this is how he sees him when he thinks of him, happy and content. He makes him suffer so much and so deliberately, and it's part of their bond that they do so, and still, he finds Will most beautiful when he's happy.
