Imagine Fareed momentarily losing telepathic contact with Armand for a couple months. Waiting and waiting for contact and trying to reach out to him only to see him later doing his apology tour. His hair looks slightly more cherubic and there’s a slight innocence in his eyes. Gives him a side eye that says “You better remember our agreement” before he gets off the tour bus to give him and Lestat some privacy.

On paper, Fareed was Louis’ physician but he actually had more loyalty towards Armand as a connection. He probably didn’t even ask. He probably invited himself in and brought Fareed up to date on details as he tended to his wounds and gave him blood.

Over the course of the next 2-3 years, Armand probably continued to stay in Fareed’s place as he bitched about his life and stalked Daniel. Fareed probably let him stay since Armand has historically given him access to interesting vampire subjects. The second Lestat became famous, boom! They had their next target. Fareed was probably following events with the Talamasca as well.

He could do as he’s been doing and keep pushing the uncomfortable truth in Will’s face that he knew exactly what he was doing when he released him from the hospital. That he did it with the intention to kill him and the Dragon and their unfortunate (or fortunate) survival means that more people will eventually die once he heals because he fucked up their ending (or did he?). So what exactly is he going to do about it?

The other way is to do it the extremely passive aggressive way in which he doesn’t tell him anything about any future plans (probably because he literally doesn’t have one…) and behaves in a way where he already assumes Will will go back to Jack and Molly and his maddeningly polite life. Maybe even give him the idea that he could use him as an excuse like he always does. Granted this only really works if they weren’t separated at sea. He doesn’t run. He doesn’t escape to some other place. He doesn’t kill or eat anyone. He just sits and waits for Will to betray him and bring Jack and his men to his doorsteps to execute him. It’s extreme malicious compliance designed to drive Will mad until he’s forced to make a decision on their situation.

If anyone knows Doctor Who, you know what I’m talking about. When the 10th Doctor watched The Master dying in front of his eyes, he begged him to regenerate, but he spited him and didn’t. He knew it would haunt him if he died. The last two Time Lords in the universe (at the time) and he purposely left The Doctor alone as he made him watch him die. And this spiteful stunt haunted him for a very very long time.

Hannibal has a weird gap in his knowledge and mind where he believes that Will will never love him the way he loves him. He won’t ever want a life with him, because he will always reject it no matter how much he may chase it. And since he threatened to forget him once, he’ll eventually do it again. Not untrue. So long as they’re both alive, this can always still be true. But if one of them died, this would no longer be true. Hannibal doesn’t yet know the full impact and influence he has on Will, because he assumes Will is capable of moving on without him. Or at least he can try to by manipulating the people around him. So naturally and eventually, his mind may take him to a very dark and creative place where he thinks that if Will won’t remember him in life, he might as well remember him in death. Just as Mischa did to him upon her death or so he can hope.

Granted, Will is capable of erasing things in history if it’s inconvenient to him. He did that with Abigail and he was already on his way with doing it with Molly and Wally once they no longer fit his idealistic needs. By theory and past patterns, he could do that with Hannibal. If that’s the case, then Hannibal is going to probably orchestrate his own death in a way that’s so unbelievably horrific and traumatic that Will couldn’t possibly ever forget him.

This season largely used Daniel’s talents as a musician and lyricist to create the big rock star feel of TVL from the books while still incorporating his style from the first two seasons. Many song have some kind of reference from the actual novel and some songs are so detailed that it left book readers astounded.

Big Boss, Your Biggest Fan, The Loneliness, are among some of the most book heavy songs in the season. Daniel really studied the book and made songs that would fit the scenes that were given to him. Other songs like Why Do I Have To Feel? carry on the themes from the last two seasons while Hit The Lights (Bare Bones) and the musical score of La Fontaine De Sang expresses Lestat’s complex trauma surrounding his family of origin. Daniel understood the assignment and absolutely delivered.

If the writers didn’t have their agenda and put as much effort into their writing as Daniel put into his songs, then this season would have absolutely fucking soared.

If she was observing Will for all of the Red Dragon arc and even Hannibal’s trial, the conclusion she probably came to is he’s someone who can’t be trusted because he’s so unpredictable and indecisive. Plus it’s not like these two have a very good track record with each other. That being said, it’s not like she actually wants him dead even if that’s the most convenient thing to do. She just assumed that his “friends” wouldn’t actually try to kill him like they would Hannibal.

That’s where Chiyoh’s insight and knowledge has a gap from Hannibal or Will. Even if she’s observed the others from afar and from reading up on Tattlecrime, she doesn’t know them. She doesn’t see that people like Jack and Alana are capable of great acts of depravity to justify their own self righteousness because they are their own monsters walking amongst society. Or that they don’t actually believe Will is on their side. Hannibal knows otherwise by a long shot.

Given this to be true and Chiyoh being who she is, of course she’s going to have to confirm that with her own eyes. She’s not exactly going to Will to save his skin because she cares, but because she needs to see if these people are exactly as Hannibal says they are. If she was wrong, then Will’s blood is indirectly on her hands. That would leave a rather bad taste in her mouth that’s hard to wash out.

“Oh Lestat, you deserved everything that's ever happened to you. You better not die. You might actually go to hell”

That moment of Paul coming to him for salvation could have been replaced by a big heap of Catholic guilt reigning down on him as judgment. Telling him how he’s not forgiven for what he’s done to Louis and that he’s the Devil. And that he’ll watch him as he sinks down to Hell. All before he’s saved and thinking about how he still has to do right by Louis.
