This season largely used Daniel’s talents as a musician and lyricist to create the big rock star feel of TVL from the books while still incorporating his style from the first two seasons. Many song have some kind of reference from the actual novel and some songs are so detailed that it left book readers astounded.

Big Boss, Your Biggest Fan, The Loneliness, are among some of the most book heavy songs in the season. Daniel really studied the book and made songs that would fit the scenes that were given to him. Other songs like Why Do I Have To Feel? carry on the themes from the last two seasons while Hit The Lights (Bare Bones) and the musical score of La Fontaine De Sang expresses Lestat’s complex trauma surrounding his family of origin. Daniel understood the assignment and absolutely delivered.

If the writers didn’t have their agenda and put as much effort into their writing as Daniel put into his songs, then this season would have absolutely fucking soared.

If she was observing Will for all of the Red Dragon arc and even Hannibal’s trial, the conclusion she probably came to is he’s someone who can’t be trusted because he’s so unpredictable and indecisive. Plus it’s not like these two have a very good track record with each other. That being said, it’s not like she actually wants him dead even if that’s the most convenient thing to do. She just assumed that his “friends” wouldn’t actually try to kill him like they would Hannibal.

That’s where Chiyoh’s insight and knowledge has a gap from Hannibal or Will. Even if she’s observed the others from afar and from reading up on Tattlecrime, she doesn’t know them. She doesn’t see that people like Jack and Alana are capable of great acts of depravity to justify their own self righteousness because they are their own monsters walking amongst society. Or that they don’t actually believe Will is on their side. Hannibal knows otherwise by a long shot.

Given this to be true and Chiyoh being who she is, of course she’s going to have to confirm that with her own eyes. She’s not exactly going to Will to save his skin because she cares, but because she needs to see if these people are exactly as Hannibal says they are. If she was wrong, then Will’s blood is indirectly on her hands. That would leave a rather bad taste in her mouth that’s hard to wash out.

That moment of Paul coming to him for salvation could have been replaced by a big heap of Catholic guilt reigning down on him as judgment. Telling him how he’s not forgiven for what he’s done to Louis and that he’s the Devil. And that he’ll watch him as he sinks down to Hell. All before he’s saved and thinking about how he still has to do right by Louis.

If her goal was to keep Hannibal safe and away from the authorities, she already misstepped by allowing him to get shot and stabbed and plunged into the abyss. Perhaps she was too mesmerized by the sight of three monsters fighting to the death or she wanted to trust that Hannibal could find his way out of this mess with his own intellect. Clearly he couldn’t. Therefore she must act and quickly. It’s from there that she must decide whether to take Will with her and Hannibal or leave him to his own devices.

If she left him at the shore, it was more than likely because she believed it was the right thing to do. Not necessarily because Hannibal believed it to be the right thing to do. As much curiosity that she holds for Will, that isn’t the priority in the situation. And so far as she knows, the authorities probably won’t come to kill Will, but they will 100% come to kill Hannibal. She may not know which side he’s on, but he’s certainly not on her’s. It’s not wise to trust a violent and unpredictable man like Will multiple times. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. Plus there’s probably a small factor of fear that bringing Will along will mean that he’ll once again take Hannibal away from her.

Rhaenyra will show her mercy and she’ll never see Sheepstealer again. Her redemption will be found in her hatching Morning and she’ll have a proper bond with a newborn dragon.

Will is always capable of finding Hannibal if he tries hard enough and thinks of places he would go. Places that have sentiment and value to him that he would want him to see. It’s not like a postcard he sent to Jack was the key for Will to know exactly where he was. He was already thinking of the Norman Chapel far before that. But it was also because Hannibal wanted Will to know where he was and he would probably always want that no matter what.

Assuming that Hannibal fights against all instinct and deliberately tries to keep a distance between him and Will, I could think it possible for him to create a world where Will can’t find him. He would have to go to a place where Will wouldn’t think for him to go and he would have to completely cut himself off from the world. Why would he do it? Idk. Maybe he’s going through a very terrible mental breakdown where he really feels a need to be alone in his thoughts to feel safe. Or maybe it’s a form of extreme passive aggressive malicious compliance to get back at Will. Either way, it gets the job done. He’s now in a place where Will doesn’t know where he is, what he’s doing, and can’t even hear his thoughts save for vivid hallucinations of what he might say. If Will wants to see him that badly, then he’ll make the effort to make it happen.

He told Daniel in San Francisco that his earliest memories are of him being run down by slave catchers in Delhi. Maybe his parent did actually send him to Delhi to work only for him to be captured by the slave catchers and sold into sexual slavery. A child in poverty would have never been found or heard of again. And his parents are now long since dead and can’t tell him the truth of what happened.
