whenever there’s a new chappell scandal it’s always the stupidest thing that seems like it was a misunderstanding and would never even touch the headlines if it involved a male celebrity. and then two days later it’s revealed as a misunderstanding. but most casual haters missed the explanation so now they have another item on their list of why chappell roan is an evil bitch. rinse and repeat.

my main takeaway from the whole chappell roan thing is that some people really, *really* just want to be able to call a woman a bitch without social repercussions.

ANYWAYS now that its come out that the whole thing was in fact blown out of proportion because some people really like calling an openly queer woman a bitch i'd like to say that even if she HAD sicced her security on a kid the response still would've been overblown. why is a man who wasn't even there crying to his 5 million instagram followers without even attempting to resolve the matter privately. he knew exactly what he was doing and he got away with it because the very existence of a lesbian with boundaries is somehow detrimental to some people's mental health.
