A lot of malwares can infect you just from random popups that you accidentally click on. DO NOT perform fake captchas that are asking you to paste something on your computer.

Do not believe "friends" who are asking you to download a game they just made. They are likely hacked and that's just another guy spreading the virus. There are too many folks recently who got hit by infostealer viruses that record all your passwords and 2FA tokens because they unknowingly downloaded the virus posing as free games/cracked software/cheats/mods. If you're really desperate, find communities who can safely check for you if the link you were provided is suspicious.

Finally, a PSA to full scan all your devices right now with an antivirus, just in case. If you believe you've clicked something malicious recently, pull up a device you know is 100% clean and change all your passwords there while forcibly signing out all other devices.

New fun fact about shadow troll culture is that they are big into making crystal themed jewelry some items are even enchanted (enchantments vary depending on who is making the item and why example gifts may often included protection enchantments of some sort.)

Though the enchantments can be used up over time so the troll needs to be wise about when and how they use it.

I'm not sure if I seen any posts going around discussing the recent VERY DETAILED (and honestly kind of poetic in how vitriolic they are) AI generated spambots on AO3.

I feel like I just need to spread the word, because these guys are NASTY. But they aren't real! You can tell that by the fact that they don't mention a fandom, a character, or anything even remotely about the fic itself.

Just wanted to put it out there in case anyone gets one of these and it crushes them. Never stop writing. Writing and story telling is one of the oldest ways of connecting with other humans. It's a gift to this world. Keep writing!!!
