If you don’t know about him, a quick backstory is that he created the mimic1 program to copy his son, David, and keep him entertained while Edwin was working. David had a white tiger plushie that he liked to carry around all the time, so The Mimic always copied David holding the plushie despite not having one. David decided to make one out of leftover lace and gave it to the Mimic after noticing this. The both of them never let go of their plushies after that. How cute.

Eventually, David got hit by a car and Edwin was left with The Mimic. Edwin brutally beat up the mimic and, of course, since it’s The Mimic’s job, it learns this. Wow, foreshadowing! Bad idea, Edwin. Later, he ends up running away and leaving the mimic.

Months later, a Fazbear Team of two(?) is sent to Edwin’s “house” in the factory he owned in order to tale back all the Fazbear property. However, they are all killed by The Mimic. The same happens to another Fazbear Team of three another couple months later.

Another team, I’m assuming, is sent back in the future and this time they actually manage to retrieve The Mimic and it is sent to the new Pizzaplex location with other endos. One of the workers there decides to have The Mimic (he doesn’t know what it is) do the hard work for him, and show it how to rip apart old endos and throw the limbs into a pile. The Mimic obeys, except when it’s done with the endos, it does this to the workers. It manages to kill all of the workers, eleven, except for one who escapes and tells other construction workers to seal off the entrance with concrete. This entrance is obviously where Cassie ends up in Ruin…

Some time later, after the Pizzaplex is built, a group of 8 teenagers break into the very same entrance where the mimic is hidden, and are all killed, yet again, except for one (who presumably ends up alive… the epilogues aren’t finished yet so idk).

This brings The Mimic’s kill count to twenty-three. Not significant, but rather interesting.

Way later, 40 years after the mimic was created to be exact, Edwin Murray is back, and working as an executive member of Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex. Against his will, the head member Mr. Burrows decides to implement an ai called The Storyteller that does exactly what its name implies. One odd thing though, is that Mr. Burrows decided to let The Storyteller choose what it looks like.

Edwin decides that he needs to find out whats going on, so one nicht he decides to stay late im secret to try to find out what The Storyteller will look like, since nobody is allowed to know except for those putting it together. Edwin hides behind a plant and witnesses a huge, white tiger head being carried into The Storyteller’s tree, its home. Edwin has a panic attack over it because he knows what that tiger means. Remember, guys? If not, maybe go back and read the first paragraph…

Edwin is extremely suspicious of this thing now because of that tiger head, and on top of that, ever since it was implemented, the animatronics had been acting drastically different than usual (in a bad way). Fearful of what the program this is running might be, Edwin asks Mr. Burrows what program this thing is running, but after not receiving a proper answer, Edwin needs to find out for himself.

One night, he decides to break into The Storyteller’s tree, but sadly never makes it back out. What he does find out, however, is that the program in The Storyteller’s tree was called “Mimic1”…

Anyway, back to the theory, it is mentioned in these book stories about the mimic that there were/are several mascot costumes of similar fashion to the ones in Ruin in both Edwin’s house where the mimic was, and down where it’s hidden in the Pizzaplex. What’s more, all of these were made by Edwin… it is outright stated. Proof of this is when they talk about pink and green jester costumes made by Edwin that The Mimic hides in. If all those were made by Edwin, then why not Mascot 1, 2, and 3 from Ruin?
